Ok, that was surreal. Johnny Knoxville, Eric Andre and Gabourey Sidibe re-creating the famous “Ghostbusters” commercial from the 1984 movie, but promoting a hotline for… pranks? But it’s all real, the phone number works (1-855-PRANX4U) and the three of them have indeed gotten into the pranks business via their upcoming ABC series “The Prank Panel.” Scroll below to watch the promo.
Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel is one of the executive producers on “The Prank Panel,” which airs this summer. On the show, everyday people pitch pranks targeting family members, friends and co-workers to the prankster panel — Knoxville, Andre and Sidibe. Be careful what you wish for. Abandoned due to financial reasons before production could be completed in 2010, Academy Award-winning director David O. Russell's Nailed has finally emerged in the form of Accidental Love. It's so irredeemably bad that even Alan Smithee wouldn't touch it. The directorial pseudonym of choice here is Stephen Greene, and the movie was completed without O'Russell's involvement or blessing.
The premise is an intriguing one and the cast is impressive, hence the understandable clamour for this abomination to be seen. It involves Jessica Biel's rollerskating waitress Alice receiving a nail to a head in a freak accident, causing her to have an increased sex drive that sways her hips away from her loser lover and thrusts her into the path of Jake Gyllenhaal's creepy Congressman.

Before there was the internationally acclaimed The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook or American Hustle, there was Nailed – a David O. Russell comedy that has languished in production hell since 2008. Now, effectively disowned by its director, it seems it will finally see the inside of a movie theatre, against all odds, and with the new, less interesting title of Accidental Love.
Starring Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal and James Marsden, and written by Kristin Gore (War Story), Dave Jeser (The Cleveland Show), Matthew Silverstein (Golan The Insatiable) and David O. Russell, the movie takes a swipe at American healthcare provision – setting a romantic comedy amid insurance coverage issues.
“Formerly known as Nailed (David O. Russell), Accidental Love tells the story of a small-town waitress (Biel), who accidentally gets a nail lodged in her head as her boyfriend (Marsden) attempts his marriage proposal. Her predicament leads her on a journey to Washington D.

Back in 2004, fans were introduced for the first time to the animated world of Drawn Together. What started off as an animated spoof on subjects ranging from Josie and the Pussycats to Big Brother later turned into an out of control thrill ride of raunchiness and comedy, some of which would even make the writers on South Park blush.
Sadly, the vulgarity and hilarity wasn’t enough to sustain Comedy Central’s expectations, and the show was canceled in 2008. Luckily, the sales of the DVD and internet buzz kept the show alive just enough for the network to offer creators Matt Silverstein and Dan Jeser a direct-to-dvd feature, which hits shelves today.

Family Guy's Cleveland Brown might be getting his own show.
Fox and 20th Century Fox TV are developing a spinoff from its hit animated series centered on Peter Griffin's bathtub-accident-prone neighbor, sources said.
The project, tentatively titled Cleveland, is being written by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, Mike Henry -- who voices Cleveland and serves as writer-producer on the series -- and The Simpsons alum Rich Appel, executive producer/showrunner on MacFarlane's other animated comedy for Fox, American Dad.
Cleveland, who plays off black stereotypes, is the most levelheaded among Griffin's trio of friends.
Once canceled by Fox, Family Guy triumphantly returned on the network in 2005. It is Fox's top-rated comedy and has grown into a $1 billion franchise with red-hot DVD and merchandise sales.
Fox brass had made it a priority to find another hit animated comedy to complement its Sunday comedy lineup. It has several cartoons in the works, including an animated version of its 2003 short-lived live-action comedy The Pitts, from Simpsons veteran Mike Scully; Relative Insanity, executive produced by Jack Black; and Mothballs, from Drawn Together creators Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser.

Fox is stocking up on dysfunctional animated families for next season.
The network is developing three projects: an animated version of its 2003 short-lived live-action comedy The Pitts, from The Simpsons veteran Mike Scully; Relative Insanity, exec produced by Jack Black; and Mothballs, from Drawn Together creators Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser. All three shows hail from 20th Century Fox TV.
Fox has ordered two scripts from Pitts. The studio is casting the project for a table read. If that goes well, Pitts will be ordered straight to series, bypassing the monthslong process of producing a presentation.
The live-action Pitts, about the unluckiest family in the world, aired for four weeks in March 2003 before being canceled by Fox. But creators Scully and his wife, Julie Thacker-Scully, never lost faith in the project and kept bringing it back in pitch meetings.
"It will be a new show to America, because so few people saw it outside of our immediate family," Scully said. "It's show we've always been very fond of."
The idea of making Pitts a cartoon first came up in the writers' room of the original series.

Comedy writing duo Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser have inked a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television.
Under the seven-figure pact, the two will develop and produce new comedy projects for the studio as well as work on existing 20th TV series.
This marks the first development deal for Silverstein and Jeser, who worked with 20th TV on the single-camera comedies Andy Richter Controls the Universe and Greg the Bunny.
"They are extremely talented people," 20th TV president Dana Walden said. "They are creatively adventurous, they are willing to take risks, and they're not interested in doing the conventional safe half-hour."
Walden credited 20th TV's head of comedy Quan Phung for tracking Silverstein and Jeser for the past two years and jumping at the opportunity when they became available.
It is not clear which 20th TV series Silverstein and Jeser will join, but Walden said she views them as "incredible utility players."
"We can put them on a startup series, and they will be extremely valuable, and we can put them on a flagship series, and they will also be valuable there," she said.
