It appears that Vin Diesel's third installment in the Riddick franchise has moved past concept art - as teased on the actor's Facebook page - to something more significant like casting.
Bloody Disgusting reveals that Karl Urban will be reprising his role of Necromonger Commander Vaako. Titled The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking, Urban's return signals that the film won't be ignoring the first two outings as was previously speculated.
Still a long way from production, the David Thowy-created trilogy has also gained an official synopsis: "Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes...

The latest addition to Alex Proyas' adaptation of Milton's canonical poem Paradise Lost is Casey Affleck, who is in talks to play the God's messenger, the angel Gabriel, in the film. Along with him comes Camilla Belle (10,000 B.C.), who is reportedly the top choice to play Eve. Deadline [1] reports that Belle is the choice for both Legendary Entertainment and Alex Proyas, but that the deal isn't set yet. THR [2] reports on Casey Allfeck, and it sounds like that deal is a lot closer to being closed. So the cast is shaping up to feature Bradley Cooper as Lucifer, Ben Walker as the angel Michael, and Djimon Hounsou as Abdiel, the angel of death. Additionally, Rufus Sewell, who starred in the Alex Proyas film Dark City, is said [3] to have a role in Paradise Lost as well. Recounting what we’ve heard before, there will be three major battles in the film,...

Lawrence Kasdan provided a polish as well as Ryan Condal, who delivered the most recent draft. Project will fall under Legendary's overall agreement with Warner Bros.
