Rock star Tom Petty, who died Monday at 66, left behind a legacy of songs that reached inside and stirred the soul with a combination of frustration, wistfulness, rebellion, cynicism, elation, and restlessness. But Petty also might be remembered for some of the most iconic music videos of the 1980s — the heyday of MTV and VH1 as TV jukeboxes.
Petty’s landmark work included 1985’s psychedelic “Don’t Come Around Here No More, and The Atlantic digs in pretty deep into the backstory to how the song and video came about, which was inspired by an encounter between the Eurythmic’s Dave Stewart and Stevie Nicks.

“A Fallen House” sees Maggie lead the survivors from the Hilltop to Alexandria…to see it overrun with the dead.
Here it is folks, your second issue of The Walking Dead this month you lucky nerds. The same week that the second half of the new series started up again too!
With the crazy all out walkers attacking Alexandria in last weeks issue, Kirkman decided to pump the breaks a little bit and split the story, which is always nice because it means we can drop in on who is where. Andrea is still leading the charge to strip the herd away from the main compound, Carl is pretty perplexed at not really being able to get in the thick of the action. However this issue lives with...

This review of The Walking Dead #163 is coming a week later than I would have hoped to get it out but I was holidaying in New York with my wife when the book released so you are getting it now. Boy, was it worth the wait!
First off let me just praise Image and creator Robert Kirkman for releasing this issue at 25 cents (at least in the Us) as a way of celebrating Image Comics 25th birthday. I am betting when the numbers come in you have amassed a whole new audience. Secondly holy shit, where do you go after the story arc that was the Whisperer War? How do you follow up the mystery surrounding Carl’s fate?.

Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment have revealed a very special limited variant cover for Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s The Walking Dead #163.
It has often been a question in The Walking Dead comics and TV show: what is it that makes Rick so different to Negan? Many a time Rick Grimes has skirted the line of basically becoming everything he hates in the popular franchises biggest baddest baddie. However he never quiet gets there thanks to the family of survivors built around him. Well creator of the comic book Robert Kirkman and longstanding artist Charlie Adlard have decided to show us the reader how bad ass Rick would look in Negan garb.
Pretty Damn Bad Ass…
With artwork by series artist Charlie Adlard, The Walking Dead #163 Cover B will feature full colors by Dave Stewart and an image of series protagonist Rick Grimes dressed in series antagonist Negan’s characteristic...

Dark Horse Comics' Hellboy in Hell may have concluded its run, but there are still many adventures ahead for the beloved (and feared) demon. This week marks the release of Hellboy in Hell: The Death Card Volume 2, and in the future, readers will be treated to several epic comic book stories within Mike Mignola's immersive universe, including Hellboy: Into the Silent Sea, a new graphic novel that is teased in our exclusive set of preview pages ahead of the story's release next year.
In addition to Hellboy: Into the Silent Sea, 2017 will also see the release of The Visitor: How and Why He Stayed, a new comic book series featuring Hellboy and enigmatic aliens (that alone should have readers anxiously awaiting February's arrival).
