Well, that certainly wasn't what we were expecting, Suits fans. We knew the big reveal of who turned Mike Ross in would be surprising. Stars Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle even told us so. But did we think it would come from as far left field as it did? Not exactly. When tonight's episode kicked off with a flashback to Donna's (Sarah Rafferty) childhood, we had a sinking feeling that it might be everyone's favorite redhead who ratted Mike out. But we were kicking ourselves for even doubting her a moment later when she basically told Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope) where she could stuff her threats, even as her father was on the hook for troubles of his own. So, then our suspicions moved to...

Most TV shows wouldn't be comfortable with completely upending their central concept. Suits is not one of those shows. In the hit USA series' midseason finale last summer, creator Aaron Korsh upset the apple cart by having Mike Ross get arrested for conspiracy to commit fraud—something he's truly guilty of—in the final moments. It was a move that stunned fans and signaled a show not willing to coast by on its formula. And it excited the hell out of star Patrick J. Adams. "I'd known since the beginning of the season that this was where we were sort-of headed. I didn't know how we were gonna get there or what it was going to look like, so the final script was a nice surprise. I...

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if characters from your favourite TV shows met each other? What about New York, a city so jam packed with TV shows that characters would run into each other at every street corner. Richard Castle and Kate Beckett would regularly be dallying with the links of Neil Caffrey from White Collar, who would probably be involved in a con with Mike Ross from Suits, while his boss Harvey Specter would have gone head to head with Patty Hewes from Damages.
But what if many our favourite TV shows (and the occasional film) did take place in the same universe? Take Lost for example. At first glance it was a show with a self-contained mystery that was resolved at the end of its sixth season. There are many out there disgruntled with the finale, so resolution might be a strong word for some.

Picture the scene in Ocean’s Eleven where Brad Pitt’s Rusty leans confidently on the side of his car, dressed in an impeccable suit, eating junk food and looking great while doing it, because he’s confident that he will always look good no matter what garbage he puts into his body. This image is mirrored by Suits’ main character Harvey, a hotshot attorney whose favorite meals seems to come exclusively from NYC hotdog carts. Imagine the effortless cool, as Matt Zoller Seitz put it, achieved by Soderbergh in moments during the Ocean’s trilogy replicated time and again. That’s Suits.

With "Heartburn," "Suits" has finally shown the world what actually happens to high-powered lawyers a lot of the time: They have heart attacks, negotiate impossible deals and change position whenever necessary.
It's just unfortunate that all of this turns out much worse for Louis Litt than it does for Mike Ross.
At least it's an excellent closing statement?
Louis starts out his day in a great place, despite calling Sheila "Mom" in bed. But it all goes downhill from there. Norma isn't good at stalling, someone steals Louis' cab, and a great closing statement gets totally derailed by an inconvenient heart attack.
It's a small heart attack though, so Louis doesn't have to die. He just has to reassess certain aspects of his life.

It's not over yet between Louis Litt and Mike Ross on "Suits" Season 3. In the upcoming episode, "Yesterday's Gone," Louis brings in a Harvard professor, Dr. Gerard (played by Stephen Macht, father of "Suits" star Gabriel Macht), who can destroy Mike's scam altogether.
Videos from the episode show just how serious an issue this is.
Tensions are obviously high in the promo for "Yesterday's Gone." It almost seems like a storm is descending upon Pearson Specter.
All of this is because Louis is convinced that Mike is hiding a secret regarding the younger lawyer's past at Harvard. His own morals don't allow him to just give up, even when Rachel comes to plead on Mike's behalf.
Louis' dilemma is centered on an impossible grade Mike supposedly got from Professor Gerard while in Law School. Considering the unbending nature of the man that Harvey confronts in this final video, Mike definitely needs to watch out.

When Pearson-Specter lawyer Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) went peeking through his girlfriend's Harvard Law School file room on the mid-season finale of "Suits," he stumbled upon something completely unexpected.
Instead of finding the transcripts of his co-worker, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), Louis found - in Sheila's (Rachael Harris) immaculately kept records -- nothing at all.
And, whether that discovery will lead to Louis uncovering the show's central secret - that Mike is a fraud, who never went to law school, despite practicing law for the firm -- is something that will be explored when "Suits" returns to ...

USA Network trotted out its legal drama Suits for the first time at the winter Television Critics Association press tour Saturday, with the cast and creator offering some teases for the March 6 return. Suits, already renewed for a fourth season, centers on a top Manhattan law firm led by hotshot lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and his associate Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who never went to law school. When the midseason finale left off, Pearson Specter lawyer Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) was inching closer to finding out the truth about Mike. Creator Aaron Korsh told reporters that the

At the NBC cable day for the 2014 TCA press tour, USA released a new teaser trailer for "Suits" Season 3b, which returns in less than two months -- and picks back up with Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) having discovered that there's no record of Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) ever attending Harvard.
"It's going to take a few episodes to get through the Louis portion of it, but it will have ramifications on every character through the last six [episodes]," says creator Aaron Korsh.
Hoffman adds, "As far as uncovering the secret, I think these next six episodes ... in a very smart way, the writers created a much deeper, more dangerous type of situation. It's not something that keeps getting played over and over again. There's a real serious, serious element of deceit."
Another fun thing the viewers can look forward to are some guest stars, like Michael Phelps having a...

Kelly Clarkson loves "Suits." This is obviously because Kelly Clarkson is an intelligent woman of excellent taste. She's also rather hilarious on Twitter when interacting with the cast of that show. From comparing dogs with Rick Hoffman (Louis Litt) to declaring love for Harvey to wanting to be Donna, the pop star has explained it all.
The Twitter exchange that revealed all of this happened on Thursday (Oct. 24), beginning shortly after USA announced the renewal of "Suits" for Season 4.
It all started when Clarkson complained that Season 4 was too far away (she's not wrong):
"I personally feel like 2014 is a long time to wait for more "Suits" episodes .....total Bs #ineed moreharveyinmylife"
Clarkson was referring, of course, to Harvey Specter, one of the show's semi-heroes. Unfortunately, this brought the attention of Harvey's frenemy, Louis Litt. Hoffman, the actor behind Louis, sent a response:
"@kelly_clarkson What is Louis..Chopped Liver:)?? Thanks 4 watching Kelly!

Legal drama "Suits" will return for Season 4 in 2014. USA announced the renewal of the top 5-rated summer series along with a new overall deal for the show's creator and showrunner.
Although there is no premiere date included in the renewal announcement, fans can expect that "Suits" Season 4 will premiere at some point in the summer of 2014 -- the show has always begun its run in the summer, although Seasons 2 and 3 have both finished with six episodes in the winter. The current Season 3 will return with those episodes early in 2014.
"As a leading cable drama, 'Suits' is at the top of its game and continues to grow in key demographics, drawing a passionate, young and loyal audience," USA president Chris McCumber said in a statement. "Aaron Korsh consistently pushes the boundaries of storytelling and the series promises to deliver a provocative fourth season."

Suits wrapped up its third season last night with what were supposed to be three major moments: One, Louis seems to have discovered that Mike Ross didn't go to Harvard like everyone thinks. Two, Rachel decided to go to Columbia so she could stay with Mike. And three, Harvey kinda-sorta confessed his uptight version of love to Scottie. And in these developments, we can see how Suits sees itself, and it makes me wonder: Does Suits know what Suits is good at?Because at this point in the show's run, it's impossible to care about Mike's "secret," that he never went to Harvard Law School, never passed the bar, and is just a charming and handsome autodidact. Every few episodes, Suits makes a point of how big a deal this is, and what will everyone do when they find out his big secret, and oh God, the affidavits, and if...

After a summer of tension, the "Suits" Season 3 summer finale, "Stay," came **this close to a happy ending. It's too bad Louis Litt had to go ruin it all by peeking into the Harvard Law School student records and finding no Mike Ross there.
Is Louis about to learn Mike's secret?

Just when you thought the law couldn't get any murkier or messier, enter Travis Tanner! Yes, Harvey's old nemesis is back yet again, this time in the employ of Ava Hessington in order to sue Pearson Darby Specter.
Mostly, of course, this lawsuit is about angering Harvey. It works.
Tanner plays as dirty as always and tries to go at Harvey via Scottie -- Stephen Huntley has gone and signed an affidavit saying that she knew all about his murderous ways ages ago. It's a lie, but Huntley is looking at a murder charge...

[Warning: Spoilers ahead from Tuesday's summer finale. Do not proceed if you have not watched the episode.] Is Mike Ross in danger? The events of the summer finale of USA Network's Suits put Harvey Specter's (Gabriel Macht) No. 2 in a potentially dangerous position, with Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) coming uncomfortably close to uncovering Mike's (Patrick J. Adams) Harvard secret. With Harvey attempting to settle down with Scottie (Abigail Spencer), Mike and Rachel's (Meghan Markle) impending move and the Ava Hessington case (Michelle Fairley) behind them, what does the future hold for the newly named Pearson Specter law firm?

After more than two seasons of speculation, "Suits" actually gave its fans a hint about the mysterious can opener! The flashback episode, "The Other Time," also explained a whole lot about Harvey and Donna's relationship, as well as that time Mike went down the wrong path with Trevor.
But the can opener is what matters. Of course.
You want the can opener? You can't handle the can opener!
It's time for an unpopular opinion: "Suits" should never fully explain the can opener. Sure, we want to know the great mystery behind that utensil, but we don't always want the right things.
The can opener falls into that category.
Now, in case there is someone reading this who doesn't know, Harvey and Donna have a victory ritual that involves a can opener. We don't know why. We don't know how. All we know is that the can opener is integral to the process.

MTV has found new showrunners for Awkward., and has ordered a fourth season of the scripted comedy.
More Awkward., more Matty!
Now that I know that infoMania alum Sarah Haskins co-created the upcoming ABC comedy Trophy Wife, I’m a lot more interested in it.
The TV Land comedy pilot Jennifer Falls has cast Jaime Pressly for its lead role, TVLine reports. The pilot follows a businesswoman who loses her job after losing control of her temper and moves in with her mother. I just hope the script has better punchlines than I Hate My Teenage Daughter.
Starz has cancelled Magic City. First Boss, now Magic City. I wonder if this will be the last time Starz quickly orders a second season of a series, only to cancel it after that second season airs.
Maybe if Magic City included a little male nudity to go with all that female nudity…...

Harvey Specter is an angry man in "Suits" Season 3. That's fair. His career has been difficult and littered with betrayals lately. But, in "I Want You to Want Me," at least Harvey begins to see that no one -- even a great lawyer -- can go it alone.
Will it matter? Find out in this recap.
Stop 'shipping Harvey and Donna
Harvey and Donna are essentially the same person. It's just that Donna is a little more concerned about feelings than her boss.
Feelings aside, most of what Donna wants is to kick butt and get a better office. And neither Harvey nor Donna has any use for one Mike Ross these days.
Oh Captain, my Captain!
Louis doesn't get to mentor the associates anymore. Instead, Jessica wants him to mentor one single associate. He gets to pick anyone.
Now, did Jessica push Louis in the direction of Mike because she felt sorry for Louis?...

Television is a a perfect playground to conduct thought experiments. They range from the semi-organic boilerpot mayhem of reality TV to the carefully scripted progressions of complex dramas. Putting a group of characters in a carefully controlled environment is a great way to explore morality without all of that burdensome trouble of setting up some kind of sanctioned psychological experiment.
Most of those shows tend to operate with a more easily predicted model, that of a contained environment. It doesn’t matter what genre the show falls into, one of the most beloved environments to conduct these thought experiments is in a pressure-cooker type situation.
Reality shows are the most common example of this. Nothing stirs up drama like putting a group of people (ideally the most horribly incompatible crew you can devise) into close quarters and making them compete. If you can make them compete for even the simplest luxuries,...

"Suits" is back for Season 3, and the show is as good as ever. Intricate plotting, perfect characters and ever-increasing tension mark the beginning of a new chapter at the law firm.
The only thing that could possibly make "Suits" any better is an invasion by "Game of Thrones"! And they've got that covered, with both Lord Varys and Lady Catelyn Stark arriving for the season.
Alas for our poor lawyers, isolation and antagonism are the words that best describe the excellent season opener, "The Arrangement." There are alliances being formed (and re-formed), but this is a story of everyone out for him or herself in the face of a hostile world.
Thus, we take each of the characters in turn.
Mike (Patrick J. Adams)
As is so often the case -- especially at the beginning of the season -- Mike Ross is under a lot of stress. This isn't much of a surprise.
