I'm a huge fan of Marvel Animation and the products they create for the fans. I've enjoyed all of the animated movies that they've made Planet Hulk and Dr. Strange being two of my favorites. It's like the movies just get better and better. So what is in store for Marvel Animation's future? President of Animation Eric Rollman recently talked to C1 Media about what Marvel Animation has in store for us for the small screen.
Marvel is very bullish on animation and has fully funded its third 52-episode series. In the past, we never did that and the great thing about being part of the Disney family is that the company is made up of animators. They respect it and understand that it's animation that drives consumer products, and so our strategic business is the same.
That's all fine a dandy, but what can we expect to see from them?...

Marvel's Thor is the latest hero from the comics and entertainment company to get the cartoon treatment.
Marvel Animation is developing and self-producing a 26 half-hour episode series based on its long-running comic book, with the series targeted to launch in fall 2010, following Marvel's live-action feature "Thor," which bows in 2010.
The animated series will follow Thor, the Norse god of thunder, as he defends his mythical home of Asgard against fantastical villains, fiendish hordes, winged creatures and angry giants. The show will take place in various worlds -- from mountainous landscapes to places of icy mists and fiery voids -- and will include many of the comic's supporting cast, including Balder the Brave, the Warriors Three and Thor's evil adopted brother, Loki.
Marvel president of animation Eric Rollman said the series is part of the company's plan to follow each live-action movie with an animated series and "offer a continued awareness in the marketplace.

Marvel Comics sent out a press release this morning announcing that production has begun on a new animated series, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Film Roman (King of the Hill) has begun working on the 26 30-minute episodes which will air on television in 2011, in the wake of The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers live-action films scheduled for that summer. Christopher Yost will be script editor and his credits include Iron Man Armored Adventures and Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes.
As a result, there’s little surprise that the line-up resembles the film properties and the very first line-up of the team from 1963: Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man (called Giant Man in the release but clearyl wearing the cybernetic helmet), Wasp,...
