Lizzy Caplan (“Castle Rock”) and Antony Starr (“The Boys”) star as parents who seemingly can’t be trusted in the rated “R” horror movie from director Samuel Bodin.
Exclusively check out a sneak peek clip below, wherein eight-year-old Peter (Woody Norman) is terrorized in his bedroom by a strange knocking. Could it be his own mother…?
“Eight-year-old Peter is plagued by a mysterious, constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall – a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes that his parents (Lizzy Caplan...

The true stories of heroism in World War II have inspired some of the greatest films of all time. Throughout film history, war films have examined various aspects of combat. While films like "Saving Private Ryan" and "The Thin Red Line" explored the plight of soldiers in the heat of combat, "Bridge On The River Kwai" deconstructs the moral dilemma that prisoners of war faced.
Given how many classics have been made about the conflict, television would have to take a different approach when Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg teamed up to create the excellent HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers." "Band of Brothers" follows the exploits of "Easy" Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, of the 101st Airborne Division throughout the war. The series is notable for its massive cast, which paid tribute to the real men that played a role in the conflict. It's an unparalleled account of war.

Lionsgate has launched development of Chris Thomas Devlin’s horror-thriller “Cobweb” with Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee and Jon Berg in advanced negotiations to produce.
The studio bought Devlin’s spec script in which a boy’s abusive parents have always told him the voices he hears in the walls of his house are only in his head. But when he discovers that they’re real, he conspires to let them out.
Andrew Childs is the executive producer. Jim Miller and Meredith Wieck are overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
Lee founded Vertigo in 2002 with Doug Davison. His credits include “The Ring,” “The Grudge,” “It,” the Lego movies, and “The Departed.”
Berg joined Vertigo last year after serving as Warner Bros.’ co-president of production for a year and overseeing the studio’s DC films, along with DC chief creative officer Geoff Johns. Berg’s DC credits include “Justice League,” “Wonder Woman,...

While Gisele Bündchen will support her husband if he chooses to continue playing for the New England Patriots next season, she’d still like to see Tom Brady retire from professional football sooner rather than later.
“Gisele always supports Tom no matter what,” a source close to the couple tells People following her husband’s Super Bowl Lii loss on Sunday to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Though the source adds that “nobody really knows what’s next for him now,” it’s likely Brady won’t be retiring.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who turns 40 in August, has reportedly suffered from multiple concussions — including one last year — his wife Gisele Bündchen said.
The 36-year-old supermodel dropped the bombshell claim on Wednesday’s CBS This Morning, telling co-host Charlie Rose that the sport is not healthy for her husband’s body.
“I just have to say, as a wife, I’m a little bit — as you know, it’s not the most, let’s say ‘unaggressive’ sport, right?” Bündchen said, when asked if she was trying to get Brady to retire. “Football, like he had a concussion last year.

For 40 years, Saturday Night Live has dedicated itself to making celebrities look as ridiculous as possible—and we’re better people for it. From controversial politicians (Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin was a cultural phenomenon that took on a life of its own) to kooky journalists (“Baba Wawa,” anyone?) SNL has supplied its fair share of eerily accurate impersonations throughout the years. Sometimes we wonder if we’d be more informed if Dana Carvey actually did NBC Nightly News instead of Tom Brokaw. Just a thought.
Here, we’ve selected 30 celebrity impressions that represent the best of the best. A few cast members make multiple appearances—how could we pick just one Kristen Wiig impression?—and some of these characters even met their real-life counterparts at one point. The ’80s were the Dark Ages for Saturday Night Live. After showrunner Lorne Michaels left the show at the end of the ’70s, Jean Doumanian stepped in and replaced the entire cast and writing team, which ultimately caused the show to suffer and teeter on the brink of disappointment. When Doug Ebersol replaced Doumanian, the entire cast was let go again, save for two: Joe Piscopo, and the incomparable Eddie Murphy.
It’s argued that Eddie Murphy saved Saturday Night Live. The uptick in ratings that occurred after he became the show’s most used player was a testament to that. So today, as VH1 Classic’s “SNL Rewind: 2015-1975 Mega Marathon,” airs block of Eddie Murphy’s most memorable episodes, let’s take a look back and appreciate the comedian’s greatest characters. It takes a special formula to make an awesome Saturday Night Live host. The person in question must be funny, yes, but also incredibly magnetic and likable. The gig is a lot harder than people think, but some stars make it seem like a walk in the park.

Live Wednesday night from Atlantic City, New Jersey, Ufc Night Night 45 (Cerrone vs. Miller) brought the action early and often.
There were three Tko victories in four fights on the preliminary card (albeit one a leg injury), a historic first women’s strawweight bout on Fight Pass, and a card made up entirely of finishes when it came time for the main portion of the show – almost unheard of in Ufc-land lately!
Luscas Martins opened the main card with an exciting fight against Alex White that made it all the way to the third round before a powerful punch connected with White’s face, leaving him dazed and slumping towards the mat. It was a Ko victory for Martins. Flyweight John Lineker decided to follow suit and scored a Tko victory in his fight against Alptekin Özkiliç, also in the third.

At first glance, Ufc Fight Night 45 (the event’s numeric title) is one of those cards that looks more like an action-packed preliminary card leading into a PPV more than it does an event in itself. Both the prelims and the main event air on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S., with just one bout on Ufc Fight Pass – the first ever women’s strawweight bout in the Ufc, between Cláudia Gadelha and Tina Lähdemäki.
While it’s not a couple of huge names – the bulk of the strawweight division will be brought in via The Ultimate Fighter 20, which will crown a champion at the end of the season – it’s still a milestone, and there’s a question as to why it’s airing on Fight Pass in the first place. In fact, either of the Wmma bouts on this card are worthy of being on the main portion...

The Schmoes report that Max Landis (Chronicle) is currently writing the script for the big screen reboot of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers tv show, and has just turned in a draft to the movie's producers, Jim Miller, Alison Shearmur and Haim Saban. That's all we have to go on for now, but chances are Landis will have something to say about this one way or the other, so keep an eye out for updates. This new take on the Power Rangers is described as: "A re-imagining of the original Power Rangers, a group of high school kids who are infused with cool and new super powers but must learn to work together as a team and harness their powers if they have any chance at saving the world."...

Rocky Winter Garden Theatre, NYC
Turning successful motion pictures into Broadway musicals has become the norm in recent years. Whether the iconic 1976 Sylvester Stallone film, Rocky, was a movie that cried out for a musical adaptation is open to question. But, Rocky has arrived on Broadway and, somewhat like its title character, the musical has a bit of a bumpy road but is triumphant in the end. Rocky, of course, tells the story of the small time, well meaning Philadelphia boxer, Rocky Balboa, his romance with meek girl friend Adrian, and his improbable chance to fight for the heavyweight championship.
Some top Broadway professionals have brought Rocky to the stage. The book is written by Stallone along with Thomas Meehan, the three time Tony Award winner, who wrote Annie, The Producers, and Hairspray, and many more Broadway musicals. Broadway has a new crowd- pleasing musical: Kinky Boots, a generously entertaining collaboration between Broadway veteran Harvey Fierstein, who wrote the book, and Cyndi Lauper -- yes, that Cyndi Lauper -- who wrote the score, her first for Broadway. The musical has a good, high energy first act, then gets even better in Act Two.
Kinky Boots is adapted from a 2005 British movie which itself is based on a true story of a young man, Charlie, who inherits his father's struggling English shoe factory. Charlie ultimately partners with Lola, a drag queen, to produce footwear for drag artists in the hopes of saving the factory and the jobs of all his workers.
Yes, there are reminders of other musicals -- La Cage Aux Folles and Priscilla Queen of the Desert both come to mind -- and much that transpires is predictable. Act One is a little uneven in spots; the...

Ufc on Fox 6 concluded this past weekend with the first ever Ufc Flyweight title defense. Champion Demetrious Johnson (17-2-1) defended his belt against contender John Dodson (14-6) with a very close unanimous decision victory. Fellow WhatCulture.com columnist Mitchell Stucky joins me on the Getting Lucky Mma Podcast to breakdown all of the action. In part 1, we cover the Preliminary fights on Facebook and FX. In part 2, we move onto the main card … and I also pay up for losing a bet with the co-main event, a yodeling love song for infamous referee Kim Winslow. Enjoy.
Episode (021) Summary: The Fb card saw WWs David Mitchell (12-2) outpoint Simeon Thoresen (17-4-1) for his first Ufc victory. They were followed by Mw Rafael Natal (15-4-1) dominating Sean Spencer (9-2) on the ground with multiple passes, submission attempts, and even a mounted crucifix before landing a third round arm triangle choke.

The Ufc finished off 2012 in grand style as Cain Velasquez (11-1) retook his Heavyweight title from the very man that won it off of him a year ago, Junior Dos Santos (15-2). In episode 013 of the Getting Lucky Mma podcast, I am joined again by co-host Marcus Mitchell to review all the action and the low points of Ufc 155. In part 1, we review all of the prelims on the Facebook and FX undercards. On part 2, we move on to the main card.

Ufc 155 Main Card Review
Episode (#013) Summary
Facebook Card: The card started out with an exciting Flyweight match-up with John Moraga (12-1) taking a third round submission over #7 ranked Chris Cariaso (14-4). This certainly puts Moraga solidly into the top ten and likely puts him a fight away from being a true contender.
They were followed by split decision king, Leonard Garcia (15-10-1) against upcoming prospect Max Holloway (7-1). Surprisingly,...

In episode #012, we’re back to preview the upcoming Ufc pay-per-view event, Ufc 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2. I’m joined by my co-host, Marcus Mitchell, as we delve into the Facebook prelims, the FX prelims, and finally the main card in what is sure to be contender for the best of the year.
Episode Summary: There are several jewels hidden away in the undercard that are definitely worth watching. One of the very best is the Flyweight match-up between John Moraga (11-1) and #7 Chris Cariaso (14-3). Both of these fighters love to stand and bang. You can expect fireworks, but we give the slight edge to Moraga with his high level wrestling pedigree.
Next comes Leonard Garcia (15-9-1) vs. Max Holloway (6-1) in a Featherweight match-up. Garcia has lost three straight and his most recent wins have come off of highly controversial split decisions over the Korean Zombie and Nam Phan.

The Ufc's Ultimate Fighter (Tuf) reality TV series returned to our screens last Friday night, but arrived with a twist -- as well as the fastest knockout in its history, at just eight seconds. While the show carried the same format and dangled the same prize at the end of it all, the action was, for the first time, live and pretty much uninterrupted and the season will, in time, be far more interactive than ever before, offering fight fans the opportunity to participate and dictate the fates of those inside the house.
A runaway success since its inception in 2005, this latest tweaking should ensure it remains as such, following the odd hit-and-miss season of late. With change comes a period for reflection, however, and now seems as good a time as any to remember and highlight some of the show's very best success stories, if only to provide inspiration...

In the toughest college admission season on record, acceptance rates plummeted at many schools, including the Ivy League. Kristina Dell explores some of the arbitrary and whimsical reasons that applicants were rejected.
For high-school seniors, the stress level of the past two weeks hit an all time high last Wednesday when Ivy League decisions came out. You've probably heard by now that for many schools, this year was the toughest college admission season on record. Take a look at the grisly acceptance rates: Harvard, 6.2 percent; Columbia, 6.9; Yale, 7.4; Princeton, 8.4; Brown, 8.7; Dartmouth 9.7; University of Pennsylvania, 12.3; and Cornell, 18. Even a school like San Diego State-best known for its beer and basketball-loving student body–saw its acceptance rate plummet to a jaw-dropping 10 percent.

With so many students applying, it's no wonder that some of the rejections feel arbitrary and whimsical. Many had to be.

Lionsgate has snapped up the comedy spec script, 31 Days Of Larry, from first-time writer Corinne Kingsbury.Little is known about the movie at this time, and we’re even having trouble using our time-honoured method of trying to work out the plot based on the title. That a guy called Larry is involved seems pretty clear, but we’re not sure where the 31 days thing comes in. Ooh, we love mysteries. Jim Miller, VP of production at Lionsgate, is the man who we should shake down for answers – he brought the project to the studio, and will oversee along with Matthew Janzen.

Jon Shestack and Ginny Brewer are producing. Lionsgate vp production Jim Miller is overseeing for the studio.
Described as a reverse "Working Girl," McCloud's pitch explores modern gender-role complications in a story about a wealthy and powerful female executive who gets involved with a new guy. "Assets" had been in turnaround at New Line when Lionsgate picked it up.
McCloud, who is repped by Endeavor and Energy Entertainment, wrote a spec titled "Abbie & Weber 4ever" while studying screenwriting at UCLA that garnered buzz and helped her get the "Assets" gig.

A year and a half after leaving Paramount, Alli Shearmur has landed at Lionsgate as president of motion picture production alongside longtime Lionsgate production head Mike Paseornek.
Shearmur and Paseornek, who will each carry the same title, will report to co-coo and motion picture group president Joe Drake. Shearmur's lock on the position has been in the air for some time, and she officially starts Tuesday.
"I'm very excited to be part of a team again," Shearmur said. "I'm most looking forward to being at a place that has a real sense of momentum and an agile, savvy approach to making movies. They seem to be very creative, out-of-the-box thinkers."
While Paseornek has helped to build the mini-major into an increasingly ambitious studio, he and Shearmur will now essentially run two separate production divisions, with each turning out six to eight films per year. The studio claims that these slates will remain somewhat undefined,...

Lisa Ellzey has been appointed executive vp motion picture production at Lionsgate as the company continues to beef up its production department.
Ellzey most recently was executive vp production at 20th Century Fox, which she joined in fall 2005. Before Fox, she was president of Scott Free Entertainment, president of Sonnenfeld/Josephson and a vp at Doug Wick's Red Wagon.
At Lionsgate, Ellzey will report to Mike Paseornek, Lionsgate's president of motion picture production. John Sacchi, senior vp motion picture production, will continue to report to Paseornek.
"Lisa is precisely the person we need on our team as we broaden the scope of our motion picture offerings," Paseornek said. "Her talent and fantastic network of creative relationships will give us access to major opportunities as we take Lionsgate to the next level and beyond."
Ellzey arrives at a time when Joe Drake -- named Coo of Lionsgate's motion picture group last fall after its acquisition of Mandate Pictures -- is putting his mark on the company by expanding its production unit, though per the studio's business model, it still expects to make 18-20 films per year.
Meanwhile, Alli Shearmur, the former co-president of production at Paramount, is in discussions to join Lionsgate.
This year, Jim Miller joined the team as vp production. Wolfgang Hammer, a director at Media Rights Capital, is a name that has been floated as another possible addition to the department.
Lionsgate's agenda includes working to offer its content on multiple platforms like FearNet, the video-on-demand and Internet horror channel. In 2009, Lionsgate plans to launch a new premium television service with Viacom, Paramount Pictures and MGM.
At Fox, Ellzey served as executive producer of "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford." Her credits at Scott Free include producing "In Her Shoes" and executive producing "Kingdom of Heaven." She co-exec produced HBO's "The Gathering Storm."
Lionsgate's Jason Constantine was promoted to president of acquisitions and co-productions last week.

The Aviator's Thelma Schoonmaker, Collateral's Jim Miller and Paul Rubell, Finding Neverland's Matt Chesse, Million Dollar Baby's Joel Cox and Ray's Paul Hirsch discussed the art of editing on a panel moderated by ACE president Alan Heim on Saturday morning at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The standing-room crowd watched the editors' favorite scenes from each of the Oscar-nominated films before the panelists explained such creative choices as pacing, camera angles and trimming, as well as revealing bits of edit-bay drama.
