Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 5 Episode 11 of “The Masked Singer,” which aired May 12 on Fox.
Hanson has been mmm-bop’ed off “The Masked Singer.” The pop star brothers were unmasked on Wednesday’s episode as the Russian Dolls.
The trio became the first group to compete on the show; last season, the couple Clint Black and Lisa Hartman performed as a duo under the Snow Owls costume. But the Hanson brothers told Variety they were attracted to the idea of pulling off another “Masked Singer” first. Early on, the show’s panelists couldn’t even figure out how many performers were on stage.
“It was very clear from the beginning they loved the idea of playing the game,” Zac Hanson said. “It was, ‘Hey, let’s play with this idea of how many people are on stage.’ Whenever we could, we tried to keep playing that game.

After featuring its first-ever two-person costume, the Snow Owls, on Season 4, “The Masked Singer” stepped its multiple-celebs-competing-as-one-contestant game way up in the currently airing Season 5, which included the Russian Dolls costume. From the first day the nesting contestant was introduced until they were eliminated on Wednesday, the judges and viewers didn’t know exactly how many people were inside the dolls. But their unmasking confirmed three people were part of the costume — three siblings, in fact.
Yes, Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson were the trio inside the Russian Dolls, and TheWrap spoke with them about how they pulled off that trickery until tonight’s quarterfinals. We also asked what they thought of all the judges’ incorrect guesses — including Ken Jeong’s theory that they were the Jonas Brothers.
TheWrap: When you signed on for the show, did you know you would be doing it in this crazy complicated, tricky costume?...

For as much as you’ll likely grow tired of hearing the term “game-changing” in the new season of The Masked Singer, you’ve gotta admit: The descriptor is factually accurate.
Because Season 5 of Fox’s really weird singing show will mess with its standard formula, via the wild card contestants we (kind of) meet (in silhouette) at the top of the premiere. Who are these rogue actors, who have the ability to switch up the competition (cough such as it is cough)? We… still don’t know. Put simply, Hanson is feeling grateful. Perennial, the latest album from the pop-rock trio—formed in 1992 by brothers Isaac Hanson, Taylor Hanson and Zac Hanson—is a testament to that. "There's no way we can properly clarify how appreciative we are over these 20 years of [our fans] because life—there's a lot of ups and downs," Isaac explained on Friday, Nov. 2's Daily Pop. "2020 is a great example of that. There's a lot of curveballs thrown at you throughout your life, and music has the power to heal hearts and bring people together." "And that's what it's always done for us as artists," he continued. "And it certainly seems...

Steve Ripley, leader of Grammy-nominated country-rock band the Tractors, died Thursday at his home in Pawnee, Oklahoma, following a battle with cancer. He was 69.
With Ripley as frontman, the Tractors scored their biggest hit with their rollicking debut single, “Baby Likes to Rock It,” in 1994, attracting critical attention and rapidly earning a platinum disc for their self-titled debut. While other releases for the group didn’t fare as well, Ripley would continue as a recording artist, songwriter, producer, engineer, radio host (of the popular Oklahoma Rock & Roll series) and the inventor of the “stereo guitar,...

Turns out "MMMBop" isn't just a silly sound in a catchy pop song. Brothers Isaac Hanson, Taylor Hanson and Zac Hanson sat down with E! News to talk about how they've grown over the years and what it means to mark 25 years together as a band. When asked about how it feels to have been doing their thing for a quarter of a century, Taylor joked, "We're tired, we're very tired." Zach chimed in more seriously, "You know, 25 years is a big deal, and obviously it's been our life and so you experience it day by day...but being able to put that kind of landmark on what you've done, I think there's a sense of gratification, a sense of completion, that you've...

Hanson isn’t here to offer advice to the next generation of pop phenoms -- but if they were, the wisdom they’ve gained is priceless.
“Because we started young, we often get asked to give advice to other young artists,” says Zac Hanson, 32, the band’s youngest member, who was just six years old when they began making music together more than 25 years ago.
“Usually it’s sort of like, ‘Why do we need to give advice? I don’t even know that guy. He’ll be fine,’” he continues. “But I think probably the best advice anyone can have is to study the history, study the artists who came before you because that will make you a better writer, that will make you a better performer, that will give you a better understanding of the landscape you’re going into.”
Including, he says, the daunting, tempting and fleeting fame game.

They’ve come a long way from “MMMBop” — and “MMMBop” wasn’t even close to their genesis.
In truth, Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson formed their band in 1992, when youngest member Zac (who is actually the third born of seven children) was only 6 years old. So while 2017 may mark 20 years of loyalty even for the most dedicated of Fansons — who first became acquainted with the towheaded brothers over the summer of 1997 during the time of their breakout album Middle of Nowhere and subsequent sold-out arena concerts, Saturday Night Live appearance, Christmas album and adorable Eggo commercial — for Hanson, it’s...

Tell us how you really feel, Hanson. The '90s boy band made up of brothers Zac Hanson, Taylor Hanson and Isaac Hanson didn't hold back when asked to identify Justin Bieber's hit remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's chart-topper "Despacito" during an interview with Hit107 FM in Australia. While playing a game of "Whose Song Is It Anyway," Zac admitted he's never actually heard Biebs' new song, and in his words, for good reason. "Can I just say I'm glad I didn't know what that was?" he asked rhetorically before adding, "I prefer not to get any venereal diseases, whenever Justin Bieber gets sort of near...

Back in 1997, Jnco jeans and butterfly clips reigned supreme. The Olsen twins could solve any crime by dinnertime, women were asking their stylists for "The Rachel" and there was an infectious song called "MMMBop" topping charts and stealing hearts around the world. Most of these late-nineties fads fizzled out, but Zac Hanson, Taylor Hanson and Isaac Hanson—the members of the logically named band Hanson—kept right on rocking and bopping-ba-duba-dopping long after our Tamagotchis died and flannel fell out of fashion. May 6 marks 20 years since the release of Hanson's debut studio album, Middle of Nowhere. This was the CD (or cassette—it was 1997, after...

They were hits in the recording studio, and now '90s boy band Hanson is hoping to be a hit with beer lovers through their MmmHops beer.

"It's vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson do," Zac Hanson, the band's now 26-year old drummer, explained. "We are soon going to be selling our own beer. I'm not joking - MMMhop Ipa anyone?"
While it's a cute name, the idea shouldn't actually come as a surprise. The band runs its own independent music label, self-releasing its albums, and has a whole line of branded products that their still-rabid fan base love to buy in bulk.

Kings of Leon are clearly going through some inner turmoil with the recent cancellation of their national tour, and fellow Okie Isaac Hanson, who fronts a family-band himself, has no problem voicing his disapproval of Kol’s actions.
In a conversation with WENN, Isaac said, “I have a hard time with musicians who act like pricks because it just makes me mad.” He also feels that artists should be more humble. He continued, “If you’re actually making a living doing it, pinch yourself every day, because it goes if you don’t love it and people will eventually get pissed off.”
Echoing the sentiment of some downtrodden fans, Isaac took on Kol specifically. “I’m gonna call somebody out on it – the Kings of Leon are running some risks,” he said. “They’re irritating people and you can’t do that too much. Eventually the bad...

Here is something you thought you'd never read; Isaac Hanson, (yes of the "MMMBop" brother band Hanson) is lashing out at rockers Kings Of Leon.
The eldest Hanson knows a thing or two about working with siblings and isn't buying the band's (made of three brothers and their cousin) claims of vocal issues and exhaustion, and says family feuding is the reason behind their recently cancelled tour.
"I have a hard time with musicians who act like pricks because it just makes me mad," he told WENN.
"I just sit there and I go, 'You know what, dude, no matter whether you're in a band just surviving or you're in a bus playing stadiums, one way or another you're still among the rare breed of people that are actually getting paid to do it.'"
The guitarist and singer specifically called out the Kings of Leon for their behavior saying,...

Isaac Hanson has criticised Kings Of Leon over the band's recent problems. Kings Of Leon cancelled the rest of their Us tour earlier this month, citing lead singer Caleb Followill's "exhaustion". It followed Followill storming off stage at a Dallas gig. Isaac, who is the eldest member of the band Hanson, said that Kings Of Leon should think about how their behaviour is affecting their fans. "I have a hard time with musicians who act like pr*cks because it just makes me mad," he told WENN. "If you're actually making a living doing it [making music], pinch yourself every day, because it goes if you don't love it and people will eventually get p*ssed off. "I'm going to call somebody out on it - the Kings Of Leon are running some risks. They're irritating people and you can't (more)...

Hanson have announced plans for a 12-hour benefit livestream set for Saturday (March 19) at South by Southwest, to aid victims of the massive earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan.
The event, which will stream live at SXSW4Japan.org , features performances and appearances from Michael Stipe, John Hermann of Widespread Panic, the North Mississippi Allstars, the Court Yard Hounds, Bowling for Soup — to name just a few — plus Hanson themselves.
The benefit is co-sponsored by SXSW itself, which originally started with a goal of raising $10,000 for survivors of the disasters in Japan, a goal they've subsequently raised to $100,000 thanks to Hanson's involvement. Fans can donate through the SXSW 4 Japan site, or by texting "Redcross" to 90999. All funds go to the Red Cross's disaster-relief efforts in Japan.

Way before the Jonas Brother, there was Hanson and you and your brothers were some of them most talented kids around!
Isaac, it’s great to hear you as still making music while playing dad to your two young sons. This year as you enter your thirties, look for some new inspiration and consider exploring the idea of a solo album. Astrology.com has all the details.
Happy birthday, Isaac Hanson! Your watery combination of a Scorpio Sun and Pisces Moon has made you just as much an intuitive musician as a technical one. Your Sun-Uranus conjunction helps you tap into the public mood and trust your hunches — even when you may be told differently. Saturn transiting over four of your planets throughout the year not only offers you a reality check, but also valuable lessons … if you practice patience. Delayed gratification is the name of the game.

Youngest brother of Hanson, Zac Hanson, is about to become a dad for the second time. On Thursday, July 1, the 24-year-old rocker shared about the happy news on nationally-syndicated radio show Kidd Kraddick in the Morning.
"I have a new new baby. It's coming. Nobody even knows," Zac revealed. Zac has already had a son, John Ira Shepherd Hanson, with wife Kathryn "Kate" Tucker. When welcoming his first child in May 2008, he gushed, "There is not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time."
Beside joining brother John Ira, Zac and Kate's new family addition will also accompany Taylor Hanson and wife Natalie Anne Bryant's kids, Jordan Ezra, Penelope Anne, River Samuel and Viggo Moriah as well as Clarke Everett and James Monroe, children of Zac's oldest brother Isaac Hanson.

'If you don't define who you are ... then that can take away from everything you do in the future,' Zac Hanson tells MTV News.

In the '90s, boy bands like 'Nsync and Backstreet Boys and pop princesses like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera ruled the charts. Hanson have managed to maintain a career long past that era and their breakout single, "MMMBop"; just last week, they released the new album Shout It Out.
So do Hanson have any sage advice for the latest crop of pop stars, including Justin Bieber, the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus? "I think the thing about all those artists is, the idea of defining who you really want to be and being that," Zac Hanson told MTV News on Wednesday, just a day after their canceled show with Drake in New York.

Celebrities are known for pushing the envelope when it comes to naming their babies — to say the least! Nameberry.com co-founder Linda Rosenkrantz notes that recently some celebrities have been blazing a different trail, however. “One of the latest trends among celebrity parents is the trend away from trendiness,” she notes. “Even though we still see some extreme choices like Bandit and Bronx, more and more celebs seem to be opting for classic, traditional, ‘normal’ names.”
Although it’s possibly a backlash against all the negative publicity provoked by their “kooky” celebrity baby name counterparts, Linda suspects that “a bigger...

Baby Monroe weighed in at 8 lbs., 11 oz., and joins older brother Clark Everett Hanson, 1. Both boys go by their middle names. "The addition of Monroe to our family is incredible and exciting," Isaac, 27, the eldest of the rock trio Hanson, told People.
