Not even Taika Waititi could write such inadvertently hilarious dialogue.
The “Thor: Love and Thunder” writer/director, who penned the MCU script with co-writer Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, took to Twitter to joke about the messed-up auto-captions for the new trailer, released May 23. The film will premiere in theaters July 8.
“Lol if the robots are planning to take over the world they’re going to need to learn different accents,” Oscar winner Waititi wrote. “Nice one, @Twitter technology!”
The “Thor: Ragnarok” filmmaker screenshotted a series of stills from the “Love and Thunder” trailer to capture just how outrageous the auto-generated captions were. Christian Bale as villain Gorr the God Butcher is shown saying “Oh gosh, well die,” while Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is captioned as assuring Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) that he understands her “from my sensing feelings.”

Writer/director Taika Waititi helms the follow-up to 2017’s “Thor: Ragnarok.” Chris Hemsworth returns as the titular superhero in his first appearance since “Avengers: Endgame.” Tessa Thompson is also back as Valkyrie, as well as Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Waititi as Korg, and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, reprising her MCU character for the first time since 2013’s “Thor: The Dark World.”
Thor and Jane’s awkward reunion is teased in the trailer, narrated by Waititi as Korg, explaining that Thor has gone from “dad bod to god bod.” Jane (Portman) is shown wielding the hammer Mjolnir as Mighty Thor. Rush may not be a film that you’re familiar with but it’s one that I’ve been looking forward to for quite a long time. We got to chat with Academy Award winning director, Ron Howard (who’s helming this project) late last year at the 2011 Bifa awards to get the lowdown on the new movie focusing around F1. You may think then that it’s going to follow suit with my favourite movie of last year Senna but it’s completely different. In fact this one is described as an epic action-thriller in the official press release below. Senna on the other hand replied completely on documentary footage and photography to achieve the amazing movie that it turned out to be. That said, one of the Producers of Senna, Eric Fellner is also Producing Rush but that is pretty much where the similarities end.

Stephen King fans may have been a little disappointed last year when they learned that Lost creators J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof had re-evaluated their plans to adapt The Dark Tower series. They initially bought the rights from King a while back for just $19, but after spending so much time focused on one thing (Lost) and being "terrified" of screwing up one of their favourite books, they ended up giving the rights back. In their place, Ron Howard has stepped in to tackle this post-apocalyptic western-tinged fantasy saga with the hopes of turning it into both a movie and a TV series. Details were somewhat murky [1] when the news first hit back in April, but now this week we have an update on the project and his intriguing idea to tell the story across multiple mediums. According to The Hollywood Reporter [2], Howard is aiming to turn the 7-book series into...

Today’s news keeps getting better and better…
Universal Pictures just sent out a press release detailing their “unprecedented” plans for bringing Stephen King’s epic Dark Tower series to the big And small screen. Universal plans as of now are to make three films and then move the story onto a weekly series on NBC. Not excited enough? Well how about Ron Howard directing the first film and first season of the series, while Akiva Goldsmith writes the first season? Yea, you are excited, because I’m ecstatic!!!
If you can remember, the Dark Tower series had been in the hands of Lost showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. They later stepped away from the project due to not wanting to upset die-hard fans or doing the series injustice. After Cuse and Lindelof left the project, the fanbase had come to the conclusion that maybe the massive project couldn’t be adapted.

Washington -- Several industry representatives on Tuesday called for federal production incentives to add to programs in most U.S. states.
Speaking at a panel at the MPAA's second biennial "The Business of Show Business" symposium, "Angels & Demons" executive producer Todd Hallowell said he would like to see a "national refundable tax credit on the scale of Canada or Australia."

Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., also said the federal government could take a role in retaining productions on U.S. soil. But instead of tax credits,...
