Erin Cummings (Hel), America Olivo (Camero) and Julia Voth (Trixie)
Bitch Slap is bad. And, pretty much, that’s the point. The only question is if it’s bad-bad, good-bad or a very, very bad girl?
Billed as an homage to the B-movie exploitation flicks of yore, it’s less of a movie and more of an excuse for sexy, ridiculous and violent things to happen on screen – preferably all at once. Depending on how wedded you are to cohesive narratives, you will find this totally unacceptable or completely awesome.
The premise is a simple one: three foxy ladies head to the desert in search of a kingpin’s hidden stash of $200 million in diamonds. We are introduced to calculating ringleader Hel (Erin Cummings), unstable muscle Camero (America Olivo) and helpless stripper Trixie (Julia Voth) via their décolletage. No, really.
Filmed with a nudge-nudge and a wink, the scene both...

From the 1950s through the 1970s many a producer could make a nice career out of producing low budget exploitation films. Roger Corman turned his studio into a training ground and provided us with a generation of terrific filmmakers. Many who make films today were heavily influenced by these films and Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez paid homage with their Grindhouse extravaganza.
Exploitation movies are critic-proof. They will find their audiences thanks to the copious amounts of blood, senseless violence, and frequent displays of cleavage. But, for the most part, their time has come and gone as roadhouse promotions and drive-in theatres have gone the way of the nickelodeon. As a result, you have to admire anyone who sets out to make one these days.

At its core Bitch Slap follows three bad girls (a down-and-out stripper, a drug-running killer, and a corporate power broker) as they arrive at a remote desert hideaway to extort and steal $200 million in diamonds from a ruthless underworld kingpin.

The problem with the "exploitation" label is that it's used so liberally that the viewer rarely knows what to expect from a film boasting that it's oh so grindhouse. Will the film feature naughty nuns fucking each other with crucifixes, or Nazi prison wardens torturing naked chicks? Bikers, cannibals, or biker-cannibals? When you're a female (or, to qualify, a female who cares about the portrayals of women in film) even more questions arise- most notably, will the movie be so offensive that my vagina itself will grab a megaphone and stage some sort of protest? Should you be wrestling with any of these issues before checking out Bitch Slap, well, you can rest easy. In fact, rather...

With Im Global/Bombshell Pictures' gleefully titillating feature Bitch Slap bowing today in limited theatrical release and via Video on Demand, this scribe sat down recently with the makers and stars of the film to discuss their ‘guns, boobs, and brawls’ opus and was thrilled to do so.
Why? In this writer’s estimation, Bitch Slap has set the bar in that sub-genre of film and now holds the heavyweight belt as the ‘Quintessential Guy Flick.’ This is fortuitous, not only for audiences with high expectations (the flick’s trailer and teaser art have been burning up the Internet for months) but also for the filmmakers, whose goal was to create ‘The Best Bitch Fight in Film History.’
Bitch Slap, which stars newcomer Julia Voth, Erin ("Nip/Tuck") Cummings, America (Friday the 13th remake) Olivo, Ron (Children of the Corn III) Melendez, Kevin ("Hercules") Sorbo, and Zoe (Death Proof) Bell (in a brief cameo,...

"Bitch Slap" is a new action film directed by Rick Jacobson, from a screenplay by Jacobson and Eric Gruendemann.
Described as a post-modern throwback to Russ Meyer, Roger Corman 'el cheapo' exploitation films of the 1950's-1970's, music for "Bitch Slap" was composed by John R. Graham with cinematography by Stuart Asbjornsen.
The film begins when three 'bad girls', including a stripper, drug-running killer and corporate powerbroker, arrive at a remote desert hideaway to extort a ruthless underworld boss.
"...Soon things quickly spin out of control as allegiances change, truths are revealed, other criminals arrive and the fate of the world hangs in the balance as the trio are forced to confront a villain much worse than they ever expected...themselves..."
Erin Cummings plays 'Hel', America Olivo is 'Camero' and Julia Voth is 'Trixie', with Lucy Lawless as 'Mother Superior', Minae Noji as 'Kinki', Kebin Sorbo as 'Mr.

Directed by Rick Jacobson, and co-written by Jacobson and Eric Gruendemann, Bitch Slap is a throwback to B movies of the ’60s and ’70s a la Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Condor Cape Town serves up a visual feast for feature film 'Bitch Slap' Issued by: Condor Cape Town
Condor Cape Town continues to build its feature film credentials with 'Bitch Slap'. Bitch Slap is Condor's biggest VFX production to date with over 400 shots produced in our studio.
The film is described as a 21st century exploitation extravaganza on steroids, featuring red-hot femme fatales. Condor began work in September 2008, and the film is due for release by mid-2009.
The writer-producer team, Eric Gruendemann and Rick Jacobson (Jacobson also directed), had a clear idea of what they wanted to achieve and entrusted Condor with the execution. This freedom gave the artists ownership over the creative outcome, which lead to greater innovation and better results. Condor's team created virtual environments for 11 scenes, ranging from church interiors to prison showers, circus tents to an old deserted steel mill.
