There's yet another scandal engulfing the "Vanderpump Rules" universe, although a bit different from the highly publicized Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval breakup. Movie producer and former "Vanderpump Rules" star Randall Emmett is the subject of a new Hulu documentary called "The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing, and Vanderpump," which delves into his history of alleged abusive behavior across his years in Hollywood, which he has denied.
News of Emmett's alleged ongoing controversial behavior first went public in June 2022 when an explosive Los Angeles Times investigation unearthed numerous reports about his alleged inappropriate conduct, as well as other misdeeds, such as huge amounts of debt claimed to be owed by his production company, Emmett/Furla Oasis Films. Meanwhile, Emmett's spokesperson, Sallie Hofmeister, denied all allegations on his behalf, per the outlet.
On May 17, Emmett released a statement to Page Six further denouncing the LA Times report and documentary. "Almost one year...

Exclusive: The Irishman producer Randall Emmett will not be heading to court to face a scathing racial and religious discrimination and hostile workplace lawsuit after all.
Less than a month after the Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films co-founder’s personal assistant sued Emmett on the potentially damning claims, the attorney for Martin G’Blae today filed a request for dismissal in LA Superior Court. The November 11-dated filing (read it here) from Young Park of Marlis Park P.C. is “with prejudice,” which means the action cannot be instigated again down the line.
“The parties have discussed their claims and potential claims against each other and as a result of these discussions, Mr. G’Blae’s complaint is being dismissed with prejudice,” Park told Deadline Wednesday. “Mr. G’Blae has decided to dismiss his complaint and Mr. Emmett has agreed to not pursue damages for what he strenuously maintains were false allegations made against him,...

Lone Survivor producer Randell Emmett today finds himself once again facing a litany of loathsome allegations, according to a multi-claim discrimination and hostile workplace lawsuit filed by a former personal assistant.
“G’Blae was unlawfully terminated due to his race, religion, and disability; in retaliation for requesting reasonable accommodations for his disability; in retaliation for complaining of racial harassment; in retaliation for complaining of unpaid wages; and complaining of and resisting numerous unlawful and unsafe activities and instructions,” says the least graphic part of a 24-claim complaint on November 1 by Martin G’Blae against the Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films co-founder, the company itself and George Furla (read it here).

Exclusive: Hulu has struck an eight-figure deal for U.S. distribution rights to the Joe Carnahan-directed action sci-fi movie Boss Level starring Frank Grillo, Naomi Watts, Mel Gibson, Will Sasso, Ken Jeong, Annabelle Wallis, Michelle Yeoh and Selina Lo.
The completed film will debut as a Hulu Original in 2021 after the streamer finalized a deal in the low-eight-figure range, we understand.
Captain America and The Grey star Grillo leads cast as former special forces agent Roy Pulver, who is trapped in a time loop that constantly repeats the day of his murder. Pulver manages to uncover clues about a secret government project that could unlock the mystery behind his death but must find Colonel Ventor (Gibson), the head of the government program, while outrunning assassins determined to keep him from the truth, and save his wife (Watts).
Script comes from Carnahan, Chris Borey and Eddie Borey. Producers are WarParty Films; Emmett/Furla Films; Scott Free Entertainment (Ridley Scott); and The Fyzz Facility Pictures. CAA Media Finance brokered the deal with Hulu on behalf of the filmmakers.
It has been an interesting journey so far for the $45-budgeted film, which has been completed since early this year. The movie was initially sold to Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios in early 2018 but that deal wasn’t ultimately realized. There was a special screening for the film at the Arclight Cinemas in Los Angeles in February, attended by the likes of Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman, and Highland has sold the movie well overseas with those markets awaiting the U.S. release.
Hulu’s roster of original films include splashy Sundance acquisition Palm Springs, Bad Hair, Run and Happiest Season.

The WGA West has placed producers Randall Emmett and George Furla and two of the companies they founded on the guild’s Strike/Unfair List “for their failure to comply with an arbitration award” of more than $477,000. The Writers Guild of America West placed production companies Emmett Furla Oasis Films and Pumped — as well as producers Randall Emmett and George Furla — on the WGA Strike/Unfair List, saying they failed to pay back fees due to writers on the series “Pump.”
The WGA’s officers said in a letter to its members that the companies failed to comply with an arbitration award of $477,581.34 for unpaid compensation, pension, health contributions and interest due to four writers on the show. “Pump” is a show loosely based on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s bodybuilding career that dates back to 2013 and had last landed at CBS in 2016.

Actress Nicky Whelan has been cast to star opposite Bruce Willis in the upcoming action movie “Trauma Center.”
Whelan, whose past credits include the Farrelly brothers’ “Hall Pass,” “The Wedding Ringer,” “Knight of Cups” and “Left Behind,” will play Madison opposite Willis’ Lt. Wakes in the film.
“Trauma Center” was written by Paul da Silva and is being produced by MoviePass’ Randall Emmett, George Furla and Lydia Hull.
The production begins principal photography this month in Miami.
The title represents part of a three-picture deal Willis recently signed with MoviePass Films — representing a longtime working relationship the actor has with Emmett and Furla, with whom he’s made more than 10 films, including 2011’s “Catch .44.”
Matt Eskandari is directing.
Whelan is repped by Luber Roklin Entertainment and Innovative Artists.
