Holy hell yes! Here's a sneak peak at a web series coming our way this summer called Chopper and it stars Tyler Mane as the headless biker. G4 (one of our favorite channels) and filmmaker/FEARnet blogger Drew Daywalt had the great idea to scare the bejeezus out of Dead Space 2 fans. The game is plenty scary and atmospheric (read our Dead Space 2 review for more on that). To really make people wet their pants, they brought in creature creator extraordinaire Jeff Farley (Pet Sematary, Camera Obscura) to bring one of Dead Space 2's necromorphs to life. See the results of this diabolic prank after the jump. Some of you may recognize porn star Nicki Hunter among the victims... By now you should be quite familiar with the name Drew Daywalt as he has established himself as one of the most prolific horror short filmmakers working in the business today. And now, just in time for Christmas, comes his latest endeavor: "My Name is Kris Kringle".
Co-produced by Robert Galluzzo and actor Bradley James with effects provided by FX guru Jeff Farley, "My Name is Kris Kringle" stars R.A. Mihailoff as Santa. You can watch it now by clicking on the below graphic to head over to Fangoria.com, where writer/director Daywalt debuted the short.
But first check out another one-minute short from Drew called "New Toy". It's seasonably sick and twisted and could easily be considered the prequel to "Kris Kringle".

Part of what makes the horror genre so much fun is all the creatures lurking in the shadows. One man who knows that in particular is special effects creator Jeff Farley, whose work has recently been featured in "Camera Obscura", a new web series by Drew Daywalt that is currently being featured on Daily Motion as well as right here on Dread Central.
Farley, who grew up in Southern California, has made a name for himself over the last 25 years in the industry, working on such classics like The Serpent & The Rainbow, Shocker and Freddy’s Dead as well as modern cult faves like Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys, Evil Bong, and Parasomnia. We recently had a chance to catch up with Farley to chat about how he got his start working in special effects and his collaboration with Daywalt on "Camera Obscura".

Indie filmmaker Drew Daywalt is a madman. That's why we love him so much around these parts. As per usual he's hard at work on yet another short film and recently he shared some images from it ... some rather disgusting images from it. Dig it!
Below you'll find a still from his upcoming quickie, Mamma's Baby, a flick in which Daywalt and company look to be entering some Cronenberg-esque territory. The delightful little tongue-happy creature that you see below was designed by John Abrahamson and built by Jeff Farley.
Lick it up, my fellow horror freaks, and check out Drew's official Facebook page. Belial would be proud, if not strangely aroused!

Drew Daywalt knows fear. After all, he’s the guy regularly giving fans a look into the “School of Fear” on FEARnet.com, and after establishing himself in the world of horror short films with Fewdio, Daywalt has now stepped out on his own with his Daywalt Fear Factory, which releases some of the eeriest short films you’ll find on the Internet.
Even though Daywalt has solidified his place as the premiere short-form horror stortyteller, the writer/director is about to embark on a new adventure as he recently announced that he’s collaborating with Fangoria for an upcoming feature film called The Ringbearer. The writer/director spoke to Dread Central on how he got involved with the legendary horror publication in its new venture into feature filmmaking as well as more on the release of his long-awaited Internet genre series "Camera Obscura" in conjunction with Dread Central and Daily Motion.

Other projects are in the works and here Daywalt talks about one of his upcoming vampire feature film the Ringbearer. Have a listen as Daywalt chats about immortality, religious themes in horror and 600 year old vampire hunters!
(Michael Ross Allen): Drew, I primarily know you from your work in independent shorts, which you often feature on your Youtube Channel. Some of my favourties are "The Tale of Haunted Mike," "Dinner Date," and "5 Minutes Earlier." However, you seem to be transitioning from smaller features to full length films, with your upcoming film Ringbearer.

I’ve been keeping up with filmmaker Drew Daywalt on Twitter for some time now about his upcoming web-series, Camera Obscura. The series is being produced by Drew for Mwg Entertainment. Expect 20 episodes of a total creep-fest. In Camera Obscura, a young woman’s world is rocked when she discovers that not only was her dead grandfather secretly a demon hunter when he was alive, but now the camera is hers and so is grandfather’s unfinished quest. All deliciously demonic FX were handled by Jeff Farley of Obscura Artifacts. You can watch the trailer for Camera Obscura below. I’m a huge proponent of [...]

Makeup FX artist Jeffrey S. Farley (pictured) of the Obscure Artifacts company sent along a bunch of behind-the-scenes pics from his assorted recent projects (see them below). The most notable are from Camera Obscura, the on-line horror series from up-and-coming genre filmmaker Drew Daywalt.
Camera Obscura (first row of photos), which we last reported on here, follows a young woman as she continues her deceased grandfather’s battle against creatures from a hellish parallel reality. “My involvement came about through my friendship with Drew,” Farley, who also associate-produced the series, tells Fango. “We’ve had a great time on every show since Breach, and when he sold Camera Obscura, he told me, ‘You’re on, and here are some ideas I’ve come up with.’ Then he produced some of the most incredible Bosch/Bacon-styled designs I’ve ever seen.
