Hours after Pennsylvania State University student Timothy Piazza fell down the stairs of his fraternity — following what authorities called a hazing ritual gone awry — he “looked like a corpse,” a detective testified during a court hearing on Monday.
The 19-year-old sophomore”looked dead,” according to Dave Scicchitano, a detective with police in State College, Pennsylvania.
Scicchitano appeared Monday as a witness during the first day of a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to hold former members of Piazza’s Beta Theta Pi fraternity for trial on charges related to his Feb. 4 death.

President-elect Donald Trump, once again, downplayed Russia’s involvement in election-related cyber hacking and has taken to Twitter to promote comments WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange made on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Tuesday night. President Obama, CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper all agreed that the Russian government interfered with the election. But Trump — not so much. Julian Assange said "a 14 year old could have hacked Podesta" – why was DNC so careless? Also said Russians did not give him the info! — Donald J. The FBI and CIA are now in agreement that the Russian government used hacking to disrupt the U.S. Presidential election in part to aid Donald Trump. CIA Director John Brennan said in a memo to his staff that he met with FBI Director James B. Comey and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr., and all three concurred on Russia’s involvement and motivation. “ is strong consensus among us on the scope, nature and intent of Russian interference in our presidential election,” Brennan said, per the Washington Post. WikiLeaks announced on Wednesday that it has obtained a collection of CIA Director John Brennan’s emails and will publish them. “We have obtained the contents of CIA Chief John Brennan’s email account and will be releasing it shortly,” the renegade document dumper tweeted. Despite it being the directorial debut of five times Oscar nominated cinematographer William A. Fraker, 1970’s revisionist Western Monte Walsh isn’t as well remembered as it possibly should be. Prizing characterization over narrative and ignoring the usual set of genre highlights until its third act, it’s a mellow, melancholy bit of nostalgia about the last days of the Old West. Sporting a handsome cast and imbued with the right touch of technical appropriations, it’s a rather humble offering following on the footsteps of iconic juggernauts of the genre, like True Grit or The Wild Bunch, both of which premiered the year prior. Awards glory and controversial depictions of violence launched those films into the zeitgeist, but Fraker’s has remained an obscure item rooted in realistic, low key tendencies.

The U.S. Postal Service announced Monday that it would be issuing a new stamp commemorating poet Maya Angelou, who died last spring. Following Angelou's death last year, an informal campaign sprung up to get Angelou her own stamp, complete with a petition reading, in part, "Stamps have featured people for their notable accomplishments in the arts. They have included American heroes, but one is missing." "Maya Angelou inspired our nation through a life of advocacy and through her many contributions to the written and spoken word," Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan said in a press statement. "Her wide-ranging achievements as a playwright,...

Glee Project watchers who raged against the special twist of Season 1′s finale — not one, but two winners scored seven-episode arcs, and a pair of runners-up snagged two-episode gigs — can stop planning a campaign of strongly worded Tweets to @MrRPMurphy. That’s because the penultimate episode of Season 2 found the show’s executive producer and his fellow judges swinging the axe, then swinging it again, thereby trimming the field from five down to three final contenders.

With the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's massive Nevermind just a few short weeks away, much attention is being paid to rock's last great era: 1991, a year that was overflowing with important, iconic (and, in some cases, overlooked) albums from bands both big and small. In a lot of ways, it was the year rock truly rocked, and so, to celebrate that fact, MTV News has been asking some of today's biggest acts to remember their favorites form that truly epic year.
So far, we've looked back at Metallica's Black Album, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Dinosaur Jr.'s Green Mind, My Bloody Valentine's Loveless, Slint's Spiderland, Pearl Jam's Ten and Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger. Today,...

Ben Edlund is like one of those guys in baseball. The guy you bring in at the last minute, when you desperately need to win the game, and all the bases are loaded and someone needs to hit the next one out of the park. Or maybe he’s like that guy in football who runs the pass to the touchdown line in the last five seconds of the game and the team wins State or something.
Okay, this is a really terrible metaphor. I know nothing about sports.
The point is that Ben Edlund saved Supernatural tonight. Not that it needed much saving, mind you, because it’s been steadily improving each week since the sixth season premiered (although I wasn’t crazy about last week’s episode). But tonight’s episode was just the thing to make me think that nothing had changed. That this was the Supernatural of days gone by.

Hello, guys and girls õ/
Yes, I am another one of the whole bunch of new writers who joined the SpoilerTV Team last week. My name is Ana, I'm from Brazil, I don't like samba and my country is not a jungle, for those who take The Simpsons seriously. ;) I'm pretty much a geek, a movie buff and totally addicted to several TV shows, but the most beloved one is NCIS. *-*
That being said, I'm here to present you my first post with my ten favorite things in Season 7. Enjoy!
10. Tony and Tim are C-r-i-m-i-n-a-l-s
Can you imagine Tim, who is a known Dog-phobic (?), and Tony running away from security dogs after breaking and entering into the Police path to get some data for the ongoing case?
And after that, being arrested and spending some time in jail? Funnier than that, only later in the season, when Tony used...

An American woman has denied offering sex in exchange for tickets to this year's baseball World Series. Married Philadelphia resident Susan Finkelstein told The AP that she still hoped to attend a game with her husband despite being arrested after meeting an undercover police officer responding to her Craigslist notice. Her lawyer William J. Brennan said that his client was "a nice lady overcome with Phillies fever" and had not explicitly offered sexual services for tickets. Brennan stated: "If somebody read into (more)...
