Southpaw Boxing Scene
Jake Gylenhaal plays roll as Billy Hope boxer against Kalil Turay (Rayco Saunders). The action is heavy hitting from bell to bell. Billy Hope has a lot emotions and questions whether he should be in ring or not. He seems to be fighting himself, by not protecting himself, then fighting back with a vengeance. It get's heated at end of a round. The bell rings to end the round, but Billy keeps punching Kalil in a heated exchange. Referee needs to separate boxers by grabbing Billy and send them to there appropriate corners. The next round starts. Both boxers came to middle of ring and Billy starts to get pounded with big right hands and left hooks and not responnding. His corner was screaming at him to keep his hands up. There is a point where Kalil looks at the Referee to stop the fight just before the next big right hand, the Refereee jumped in and stopped the fight. Billy pleaded with the Referee not to stop the fight, when it was clear it had to be stopped. He lashed out with rage and head butt's him, knocking him to the canvas.
