Bastar: The Naxal Story (2024)
Brutality of Communism, Marxism and Maoism fully exposed
Based on several real life incidents in the district of Bastar. Keeps you engaged for a whole 2 hours. Many violent scenes, but it's a must to show it to show the raw brutality of Naxalites. The movie is to shake awake anyone who is unaware of the evils of or sleeping in the fantasies of communism.
Ada Sharma has done a decent job of playing the main character of an IPS officer. Other characters have also done their roles well. Cinematography and music is also good. One big difference in modern and old movies on sensitive socio-political issues is that former movies used to be like art movies. Modern movies are have much more life. The support of the leftist intellectual system in keeping the conflict alive has also been shown.
One thing they could have done better was explaining the history and origins of Naxalism in India.
