There are real judges like that who will look at actual evidence and already agreed upon things and throw them out.

I actually threw my iPad because this episode pissed me off. I'd have rather him just not gone to court or lose in court like some episodes than that happen.

Also at the end the dad takes Amanda hostage. Why her of all people?? Not the judge? Not the pdo? Not his ex? Amanda isn't even in charge. Why not take Benson or Fin? Also why take her hostage when they were still working the case? They were on his side.

I'm one who read the books and played the game

Someone decided they should combine the 2. Why? I have no idea. Perhaps they saw the Nick Cage movie and decided they needed to keep elements of the game in it.

The book itself is really good, from the child killer to the possessions, to the main girl's backstory. But they removed it all to fit in a main character who is a security guard for 5 nights (like the game).

They kept the elements of the book with the serial killer and instead of a female lead with a tragic loss of a brother, the security guard has that. It's interesting how they decided to play it.

All in all it's not perfect, but it isn't bad. I think the picture drawing parts were weird...and the jump scares were cheap. I will say the ending of the book series is awful, so this is a nice compromise.

No One Will Save You (2023)

Frustrating

This was obviously well directed and well acted. Even some the cinematography is good. However almost the entire movie is in black. You cannot see a thing. It gave me a serious headache... we had to turn all the lights off and I still couldn't see much. In the parts you can see everything looks amazing so I don't get why they made it look dark.

Plus some unoriginal ideas like the image of the aliens and the body snatchers

Everything about facing mistakes and feeling isolated...the anxiety...destroying your past self...the aliens learning...the writing was dang perfect.

If they showed more lighting this movie would be perfect.

All Hallows' Eve 2 (2015)

Awful as a whole, a couple are good

1st story was amazing- 10/10. It basically was a karma "pumpkins revenge" that I've never seen before. Even had the kahonies to off a kid. Great effects. Good acting.

2nd story was clever, about a post apocalyptic town where you are literally trick or treated. I think it was okay but a bit high on itself. Like the message was more important that the scares/ story. REALLY bad effects and makeup 5/10

3rd story wasn't scary. It just pissed me off. Dad purposefully forgot meat. Was a coward. Offered his son to a monster you never see. Drives away. 0/10

4th story was a psychological horror about a girl who instead of getting therapy and going to the cops, sees the guy who killed her bff everywhere. To be fair this was intense and makes sense to trauma. Well acted. I just didn't find it scary or good. Perhaps it needed to be longer. 6/10

5th story was pointless and too short and just torture gore. 3 teens go to a carnival and the carnie tells them to hurt the masochist, who turns out to be one of the kid's abusive dad tied up. That's it. That's the story. Bad effects and acting. 0/10

6th story was so so cute and emotional to the point it clearly did NOT fit in this movie. It was clearly written as a metaphor for grief with military spouses and then they added a jumpscare at the end. The acting is amazing. 9/10 but 10/10 if it were without that ending and on its own.

7th story needs to be unwritten. Just fast forward. It's disgusting. A guy makes decorations out of people. No one can act and everything looks bad. -100/10

8th isn't even in English or having English subtitles which is insane because EVERY OTHER story is. I had no idea what was being said. It looks like a complete rip off of the ring or unfriended visually. 0/10

The over arching vhs tale is about a guy in a pumpkin mask and a woman in an apartment. 1/10.

Terrible

1. She is far from overweight, it was quite insulting that they chose her for the role and considered her fat 2. The people who deserved to suffer get off light. For real this girl was being abused by her father and had a toxic home environment.

3. It's revealed that the main character didn't kill anyone so she was completely innocent....so why was all this built up like she was a villain? Why couldn't she be happy in the end? Why was she still suffering? She should have had a happy ending.

4. The ending was confusing and awful. The twist you could see a mile away, but then they have this awful fight that just...ends...and nothing is resolved. Just a waste of time.

John's Hopkins is a TERRIBLE place. It is a dangerous hospital. I also spent years trying to figure out why I was sick and one of the places I went was JH. The day I went I had a seizure and the doctor came over and smacked me and told me to stop faking.

These people seek control and are complete narcissists.

The distress that a false accusation can put someone under and being separated from your family is awful. Everyone involved deserves the worst karma and I want them all sued to oblivion.

Real kids are abused every day. Real kids are put on drugs against their will and are abused and go unnoticed or it's encouraged by the state.

John Mulaney: Baby J (2023 TV Special)

Where is the humor

When a criminal cheater decides to blow up his life and the life of a new born he isn't a comedian, he's a horrible human being. I didn't laugh once, I just seethed. I gave it a shot because I loved Mulaney before everything happened and rewatch those specials again and again. This isn't the same person. This is a villain.

You can see his age has caught up to him. He is no longer a cute, sweet, young faced man who is nice to everyone because of fear of judgement. He has made horrific mistakes and now, based on this special, corrupted his entire life. Murder isn't funny. Encouraging others to get drugs from their doctor isn't funny. Mocking those who have drug addiction isn't funny.

He is seriously mentally disturbed and shouldn't be a comedian. Or a father.

One flaw

I fell in love with this anime

I love the inclusion of all religions, all of mankind, all of history, and the idea of mankind coming together. If you ever lose faith in humanity, watch this. I bawled watching Adam vs Zeus. I have not wanted a father figure so badly to be real as him.

The idea that these humans have gifts is so cool. I won't spoil that of course. But the human world is full of people with gifts and we just need to admire that.

The one huge flaw with this anime (and manga) is the sexism. I love Brunhilde and the Valkerie but...they are literally items. They become tools. There are no female human or gods in the roster but I can think of many throughout history and mythology. Think of Mulan who literally won a war against the Huns just to save her father. Athena is the Goddess of War and she isn't even seen. Even Aphrodite is a pain with 2 men holding her up. So...just a thought...

Dive into mob mentality

A beautiful young girl is mistreated by literally everyone including her family. One day, even her best friend helps the bullies nearly kill girl and she walks home nearly naked and bleeding. On the way, she sees her ex-bff and the 2 girl bullies in a van.

The guy was at the pool. Instead of killing her, he is kind to her. Scared, she does nothing. She keeps her silence after a horrific post of her goes viral. After a bit the killer seemingly falls for her and she is growing more conflicted as the town falls apart blaming everyone. The mother and cops humiliate her in every chance they get.

Finally the serial killer comes to her and shows her family (not her brother) and bullies some humility. They hit the escaped bull (second story under this) and she is knocked out, waking up in a horror shed. 2/3 of the girls are alive and hanging like pigs.

The girls find some way to make it Sara's fault as she tries to help them. The killer attacks then finds Sara to...soothe her? After she finds his body pile. She's given a choice: save the bullies or kill them together. Ex bff loses a hand and killer loses his life. 2 more shots. Maybe think about who you bully and you won't have to worry when they hold a gun to your head.

Beautiful movie, but hard to sit through if you are plus and grew up plus. I hated the mother as much as the bullies and wanted them all gone (including the male bullies). I hope Sara ended up with the hot biker, and never let anyone mess with her again.

Zoombies (2016)

GREAT movie with a low budget.

If you are watching this with blinders on, this movie is wasted on you.

I actually love this movie, which is crazy because I hate zombie movies and this is technically a "b" movie.

What bothers me about this movie is the potential. The plot was inspired, the actors weren't half bad, some were amazing, and you actually got to know the characters before they died. The only true fault is the horrific CGI and obvious dolls/costumes they use for the animals.

I'd like to point out that this is NOT a rip off of Jurassic park. In that movie already extinct & dangerous animals were brought to life and got out. In this movie, endangered animals are all being kept together at a fancy zoo when they come down with a virus. One monkey dies and is injected with a substance that isn't meant for its species. This super charges it back to life and creates a zombie monkey, that gets out and injects other animals. *But* only animals that have natural predators and are endangered.

This movie is intelligent and talks about extinction and choice. Our play in animal extinction. I wish it had a higher budget. I wish it was taken more seriously.

The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker (2023)

Upsetting

1. Kai was clearly unstable. He was homeless (most people who are homeless are unstable). He urinated everywhere and said questionable things. It was also clear when his instinct was to attack someone with a hatchet.

2. Kai was clearly seriously abused from his mother. That C shouldn't have been in this.

3. Kai was clearly raped before. This 70 yr old probably tried to rape him or he was on edge and he snapped. Why does an old man take a young man to his home? That's so creepy. I can't imagine this not being sexual. Imagine it being a young woman. Would it end the same?

4. I feel sick about all these slimy Hollywood people who literally don't care about what they did to this mentally unwell kid.

This kid needed help. This felt a bit exploitative. Much like when he became famous.

An absolutely awful film

Predictable, insulting, irritating, and relies so hard on "fake out" scenes

First, this kind of "commentary" on mental health actually does more harm than good for people who suffer with mental illness. It was offensive from beginning to end how everyone spoke about the mentally ill and people who have mental breaks. Even the MC's therapist. As someone who struggles with mental illness, this movie was triggering.

Secondly, no movie that kills a cat or dog without it being directly for character development is good. None. It's an easy death that doesn't require developing a character or mourning.

This movie copies off the premise of it follows but expects the reactions of the babadook. But the ending was absolutely AWFUL! What was the point of her coming to terms with her trauma if it was gonna overcome her anyway and pass on?

I could think of 10 better endings. Including the nephew being next, and her being locked in from the outside. But it doesn't matter. This movie is garbage.

The prosecutor & bff

Why did you include the prosecutor and the bff & all the hateful and evil people in this? You know nothing about what goes on behind closed doors. Even the bff says he wasn't there when things went down but sally begged him to stay...so how would he know the truth? Sally showed fear when asking for him to stay.

Our justice system is rigged and broken. Don't EVER talk to the police ESPECIALLY if you're innocent. This is a cut and dry case of self defense. The sexism and lack of real defense and her ignorance is what did her in.

I don't care what anyone says: if you kill your abuser, it is self defense, no matter how many shots you take. The abuser will KILL YOU no matter how many times they choke or hit you.

Fall (I) (2022)

Sad

A white extroved and edge-living girl with blonde hair convinces an introvert brunette white girl who just had her heart broken to do something crazy that ends up getting them stranded for hours in an unreachable place miles away from people.

They fight because of the brunette's boy and their differences.

In a "jump the shark" moment to keep them alive they do something inhuman that turns out to be a hallucination and the blonde is dead because she did something stupid

I've seen that before... it's the awful plot of 47 meters down.

I'm disappointed in the writers of this because it had a great idea, but they never do drama correctly. In action, you need to do story just as well. They could have written the characters less predictable and 2-D, especially because there are amazing scenes and moments in this movie. I think they only had the girl and guy cheat so they could have them killed off. They seem to want "no innocents" killed in movies, but that just removes all reality. Also why should they have to die because they cheated? We should demand more in movies.

The Rookie: Feds (2022–2023)

Yikes People

Niecy Nash is an amazing actress. If you have watched Dahmer, you can see her range. She was even on That's So Raven back in the day. It isn't her fault if you don't like Simone.

Simone is a loud, self-absorbed, break-the-rules character who is trying to shake things up, which fits on a special team that Garza put together. He is also trying to shake things up. I think the reason this works so well is because she is paired with a stick in the mud who is too by the book and kind of mean. They are working to teach each other and even out. There is also an ex actor, who is a rookie and lovable, being trained by a type a woman who is great at "criminal minds" type personality work. They don't always get along, but it's obvious they are meant to be.

This show is so closely intertwined with the Rookie and I do like that. I hate that everyone expects this show to be amazing immediately. Have you ever heard of growth?? It's the first season. You're judging it based off of the Rookie and not on its own, and even if you hate Simone, she is only one character. And it isnt "the fbi", it's an elite task force within the FBI. They do their own thing.

I really enjoy this show.

Insulting

Okay I just want to say: this is supposed to be for kids but there was a DEAD BODY in the first episode. Okay, that is dark humor. Dark humor for someone older than ten. But these jokes? The jokes are for children. The jumping around animation and awful one liners are clearly for young, young children.

This show is insultingly dumb and weirdly dark at the same time. It's like it's trying to combine the odd one is out (targeted for an older audience) and a children's show...which really doesn't work. You need to choose one. This could have been a great adult show like bob's burgers. Heck, even Inside Job is better. James deserves better. Netflix is a junk yard sometimes with mostly trash and a couple treasures.

Binging old 911

After rewatching all of 911 I realized what they did here.

Chimney lost his "brother" to a fire when he fell through a roof in their early days (which can be watched in chimney begins). Cap lost his family to a fire years ago that he blames on himself.

In this episode they both almost lose those exact same people again, in the same way and learning from the past made them stop it from happening. It was actually so sad to watch when you remember.

Ignoring the silly drama that won't even be long term, this show always knows how to go that extra step and make you cry your eyes out with a death or near death or true love.

Unsolved Mysteries: Mystery at Mile Marker 45 (2022) Season 3, Episode 1

Mad

It's clear she was killed if you actually watch this. It bothers me that the girl was cremated and the railroad cops mishandled EVERYTHING because the family will never ever get answers.

A person never commits suicide in the nude, and like they said her feet had no marks from glass or wood. They should have looked into the credit card fraud and any enemies she may have had.

The only thing they can do is check the dna on the clothing, but the clothing probably has been compromised. They could probably check the phone too.

Another problem i have: the train kid said she "dove" in front of the train. Interesting words. People JUMP in front of trains. They don't dive. Diving means going head first with their arms out. That supports the theory she was already laying there, bleeding out.

Bob's Burgers: What About Job? (2022) Season 13, Episode 3

Awful

I get that every year since the frond files they have the kids (and sometimes Linda and Bob) do stories that parody movies in an over-the-top fashion but this one was way too far out there and made me fast forward.

The first one is uncomfortable and nearly impossible to get through. No humor at all, just more toilet humor trying to be funny.

The second one wasn't funny either and disgusting. Not to mention, they seriously wrote that Tina killed Jimmy Jr over gum? I get they have an on/ off relationship but wtf. Tina is psycho there.

Bob's story was good and his points were great but 1/3 of an episode doesn't make it good.

I'm sick of them making half done shows and it's like full house, where it's good because of the looooooong speech. These episodes are bad.

Morbid (2022)

Halloween fun!

I enjoyed this movie for being a fun, Halloween packed thrill ride. It's not perfect but it's dripping with Halloween! The decor, the monsters, the costumes, the slasher fun, the game...

The point of the movie is that these girls who are fighting because one went away decide to hang out on Halloween. The one that went away came back with a game that is illegal and dark. Answer the questions honestly and drink the hallucinogen tea. The questions range from choose who in the room lives/dies to what you are most afraid of demon, monster, clown, or serial killer. If you don't answer honestly HE will know.

Girls go missing or die and reappear. Quickly you realize that each girl is in a different reality and they are unaware of what is happening to the others. (This can be confusing. Who is the main character of each reality for instance).

The ending was very interesting, and made an emotional investment from the beginning worth it. The only thing that truly bothers me is the annoying song about PDF conversion.

Kotaro Lives Alone (2022)

I left feeling cheated

There is no story. No point. No purpose. There is no beginning, middle, end. I was hoping we would see what happened with the dad or with Mitsiku. Both of those plots went no where. I thought the last episode implied Kotaro would be kidnapped...nope nothing interesting happens in this show. It touches on a lot of deep subjects without going too far. Never once did they show Kotaros siblings or where they are now. Or explained HOW his mom died. It really felt like a waste of time considering the bad animation of the show. Plus the one character, the woman with black hair, just appears out of no where and is only there for an episode and she is in the theme song...that is bonkers.

All in all I found it cute but pointless.

This was an intelligent movie about gaslighting, motherhood, and revenge

Some people missed some clever seeds along the way. The main couple were not as close as the couple below- and that helped Kate be gaslit. When Teresa and Jon lost their baby, they hatched a plan to steal Kate and Justin's. Because Kate's mother is distant, her husband wasn't always on her side, and brother committed suicide, it was simple to make her seem crazy, then drug her with milk, throw the "baby" (cat they blamed) in the water, and then make her seem like she committed suicide. Then they took the baby and re named it.

Seriously even the ones you love can cause your demise. Sometimes you need to believe people even when they sound crazy.

This movie was so intelligent

This movie shows the events of what happened after Dinos were unleashed worldwide. Secretive companies have been creating more Dinos and poachers are hunting them. Not only that, they are used for underground "dog fights".

In the movie, maisie is being searched for because she is unnatural, so Owen and Claire are hiding her. They run into blue and her baby who have made their nest nearby. At the same time plant and nature specialist, Ellie, has noticed Jurassic era locust destroying food and gaining in herd size.

So many JP 1 references...rebooting the system...getting in the upside down far...Ian getting the Dino's attention with light...the trex walking past a circle...

So many complaints about Dodson. Dodson knew about genetics in JP1. Is it so unbelievable that he could become a master villain in 20-30 years?

This movie shows Dodson went back to get the barbidol can Ramsey "younger me" is wearing a Bermuda shirt Dodson dies thanks to dilaphosauruses carrying the exact same can

This movie touches another topic: the benefits and side effects of genetic manipulation. "While they were off building theme parks she knew generic power could be used for good" (just like in REAL LIFE) we never had a human made before. Just dinos.

Plus Wu finally learned his lesson. Brooklyn tried to tell him in Caml Cretaceous but he had to learn himself.

The truth is that this where JP was always headed: global coexistence with Dinos.

"If we are to survive we'll have to coexist" That is the plot.

Truth or Die (II) (2012)

Obviously the twist is why Gemma had to die and the worst character El lived. However this movie made it so that the most innocent characters are tortured, raped, hung, and killed while the worst get away.

Eleanor literally provoked the game, made this already humiliated kid be sexual with her bf against both of their wills and got to live.

Gemma was kind and tried to defuse every situation. She was empathetic to everyone and never mean, intelligent, resourceful, and the only one nice to Felix. She dies. Like what?!
