Rock with Laughter (1993)
Comedy/ Sketch show
This show only ran for a few weeks and according to it's star Bobby Davro was aired some six months out of date. That meant that many of the topical sketches that were included in the shows were out of date and some of the humour was, as a consequence, diminished. The shows were approximately half an hour in length and occasionally included a musical spot with Bobby Davro singing a song. As a closing theme a Shaking' Stevens song "Rocking The Night Away", from the album "There are Two Kinds of Music... Rock'n'roll", was used. The BBC must have lacked confidence in the finished product and it is not known if all the completed episodes were aired.
Goodie-Two-Shoes (1984)
A short film with ballroom dancing as a theme
This was on with "Footloose" when I saw it years ago (when cinemas still showed some semblance of a programme rather adverts and the feature. It wasn't a bad film (if it's the one I'm thinking of). It's a bit like Grange Hill with ballroom dancing as a central part of the plot. A gawky lad gets off with a pretty girl through learning ballroom dancing and subsequently enter a dancing contest. I had often wondered why it had never been released on Video/ DVD but now I realise it's a bit on the short side. They should show it on telly though I think it would still go down quite well with a younger teenage audience and would fill up a half hour slot quite nicely.
