Missing 411: The U.F.O. Connection (2022)

Third time is the charm!

I like most of daves work, watched his three documentaries and a couple of his books so I am a fan. I would say without a doubt this is the best of the bunch and his most interesting documentary.

I don't believe you should accept his every single word as gospel but many strange things happen once you get above the treeline. Their are alot of counter arguments to davids theories but few of the cases he covers get's a real satisfactory explanation.

If you spend any amount of time in the woods camping or hunting you should probably take a grain of salt and take a look at his work. Draw your own conclusions but in regards to The UFO connection I find this the most likely paranormal explanation in regards to his work.

Interesting cases, good interviews and nice cinematography, the quality got better with each release. If you have to pick one it's UFO CONNECTION, The Hunted, Missing 411 in that exact order.

Beyond White Space (2018)

A suprising indie movie

I wanted to watch a movie on night and came across a low budget space movie I haven't heard of.

I must say this movie was pretty good for what it is, for an indie film it surprised me how well the sets and locations looked, The interior of the ship looked believable and the scenes in space were pretty well shot.

The plot is moby dick in space with the whale being a gigantic alien creature modeled after the cosmic dragon in Chinese mythology, which was pretty interesting. The plot was a bit all over the place and their was a weird slasher bit towards the end of the movie that was pretty dumb.

The acting isn't great but not so bad that it detracts from the movie, all the characters feel like they fit and are believable.

It's worth a watch and I think the imdb rating is a bit low especially if you are a fan of sci-fi.

It's a completely passable space movie that's pretty average that will keep you invested and not bored.

A.I. Rising (2018)

First twenty minutes were pretty good

So this movie was okay... but it could have been so much more. The only reason I didn't turn it off right away is because it set a really good atmosphere with some of the shots and good sound.

Then it kind of devolves into a bland movie with bland acting, could of been really good but it just lost me after 30 mins probably would of excelled as a short film.

Crucible of the Vampire (2019)

Actually suprised

Watched this one by chance and was pleasantly surprised, It''s low budget but it still feels like a movie, the plot was kinda forgettable the acting was ok.

The best part of the film imo was the set and location looked really nice especially if you like victorian era buildings, Secondly the sound and music were really good and really loud. The music choice fit and really boosted the tension in some of the scenes.

It's a below average horror movie with some cool scenery a couple good moments but a bit boring;

After Darkness (2014)

bland and boring

I watched this movie based on the synopsis, it sounded like it could be somewhat interesting. Well I got about twenty minutes in and realized it was going to be one of those nothing movies.

Almost nothing happens for the 90 minutes and the drama between the family isn't tense or interesting all the characters I just didn't really care about. The father is definitely the most interesting character in the movie but that isn't saying much.

Movie isn't god awful bad but just a complete bore of a chore to get through imho.

The Car: Road to Revenge (2019)

Saw it blind.

As somebody who hasn't seen The Car, knew it was supposed to be a sequel, or knew anything about it but the title it was a goofy fun suprise.. Not a great movie but a good time killer and a pretty fun time for me.

Time Jumpers (2018)

Saw a two star time travel film and thought it could be unintentionally funny, I was wrong. ketamine and weed couldn't even remotely make me interested or immersed in this film, the only thing i could really tell you about the movie is the event that kicks off the film was so far out of left field all i could say is wtf and that was the only thing notable in the 80 minute run time. seriously everything else was so poorly connected it may has well been seperate stories.

film quality was somewhere between home movie and a film school project.
