When the movie first started I was uncomfortable with the all the unprofessional wide angle shots. It looked amateurish to my eyes. I thought Oh boy these people don't know what they're doing. I didn't need a remake of One Flew Over The Cookoos Nest, so I turned it off and googled the movie. When I found out it was filmed on a iPhone I could relax and feel at ease that I knew something was amiss.
From then I could immerse myself in the plot. The story and the acting are good, even if I know it won't win any cinematic awards for camera work.
I admire that the movie was shot in just 10 days on an iPhone and has little added effects.
I think it would be a good study project for film students to show what can be done with very little film equipment.
Maybe showing a little more of the main actress's background and character would have helped me to connect to her. We do see some background later in he film, which did help me understand her position more clearly.
I do, however, understand the reason that the director chose to show the layers of her life later on.
Overall, I'm glad I watched it.
