Leila (2019)
Just watch it once before being swayed by the reviews.
I don't know why these right wingers are so afraid from these fiction pieces (same thing happened with Mulk last year) that they run a propaganda against films/shows which show the immediate/possible reality of the world. But these people think these are Anti-Hindus, Guys atleast watch it so many people earn their livings, think practically. And, I have always same question, that how brittle are their sentiments that potentially get hurt by fictional stories.
Now, about the show - Yes it's not perfect as it has pacing issues but it hits all the right notes, from story to screenplay to the acting performances.
Watch it before judging.
Mulk (2018)
When Reality Hits You Hard
All these people who have reviewed it with 1 ir 2 stars are the Paid Trollers who are found Guilty by the Film as the Film doesn't hurt any community's sentiments and gives a message of Staying Together.
The People who are calling themselves as Nationalists which obviously is Fake Nationalism as every Indian will be Proud of this film but, which are getting offended by the Film which throws reality into their face are feeling guilty of their thoughts and life choices. They also know that Everyone - when I say Literally Everyone has loved the film and accepting it with open arms, they are trying their Cheap Methods of Negative Feedback on IMDB in a hope that people who read IMDB ratings will change their mind before watching the film.
Let's leave them, coming to the Film The Director Anubhav Sinha who is also the writer intelligently weaves a Narrative which is a Family Drama to a Courtroom Drama in the second half. All the Performances are brilliant and on point but the one who will take your heart will be Manoj Pahwa as Bilal Mohammad. He perfectly shows emotions if a helpless father whose son has been declared a Terrorist.
