What the hell have I just watched?

At the very beginning, there have been some unnecessary slow-paced scenes, however at a later stage the rhythm became fast and thrilling.

Great movie, rare-to-find story, amazing plot and above all, a truly successful cast.

It is the first Polish picture to watch, if my weak memory served me well.

On the other hand, I was just wondering while reading all those negative reviews; why? Both story and plot were fine, as well as the performance of all cast was great.

I liked the movie and believe it eligibly deserves 8/10 stars.

Well, there is no such a great story neither a perfect plot, but I liked the movie somehow.

The outline is innovative I believe, nevertheless there was a massive misleading in the sense of introducing the hypnosis.

The movie-in general-is a masterwork and I loved it, however the big question mark I had along the 90 minutes, was "how the electricity supply is still running during the 400+ days of disorder?".

It was pretty good to show only parts of the creatures, or unclear shapes in most scenes, as that added more mystery to the plot.

Can't wait to watch 'Part II' this week.

It just so happened that I watched 'Mortal Kombat (2021)' a few weeks back, and truly can't say that the animated movie is less perfection than the live-action version.

However the plot was not typically the same, while we had less characters in this movie.

If I didn't know the actual year of production, I probably would have thought the movie is from the 70s era, which is a plus point.

The plot anyway is clumsy, while a considerable part of the story is derived from 'Identity (2003)' if I am not mistaken.

Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)

In 1962 (or 1963) the first version of this dilma was released; King Kong vs. Godzilla, which I didn't watch (wasn't born yet), but through many online sources, the movie was horrible somehow.

Moving down to our present day, come on guys and for Christ's sake, please have some creativity and stop ruminating.

On the other hand, dah! What about the huge difference between both sizes of Kong and Godzilla?

A Stand Worthy of Men (2021)

Great Picture

I had been absent from the Arabic theatres for 20 or 25 years, and recently went to this movie along with a friend; I honestly was amazed by the gigantic leap that Egyptian cinema had made over the past 2 decades.

Cried twice while watching; firstly because of the mild likable comedy, and then due to woeful scenes.

On the other hand, I had the feeling of some similarity between this movie and 'Last Vegas' as well as 'Wild Hogs'.

Daniel Isn't Real (2019)

Very Complicated Plot

I had a close friend of mine (passed away last year), who was diagnosed with schizophrenia, where his family had real hard times, hence I know exactly what does it mean of being a schizophrenic; depression, hallucinations, seeing invisible objects, talking to no one while alone, crazy thoughts, etc.

Having said the above, I am pretty sure that writers have done their homework, i.e. The events are not arbitrary or kind of sci-fi stories. Yet they have spiced up many scenes through adding unscientific happenings.

On the other hand, was Daniel just an imaginary friend? I am pointing out here the unforgivable mistakes; when Luke and Cassie were in the library, Daniel was reading out the books that Cassie is checking one after another, which means he is a separate unseen incarnation (if I could call it so!). Again in the house of John's father, Daniel informed Luke about the stealthy telephone call, which means Daniel was able to see what Luke did not. And there was a number of similar goof-ups.

Anyway the movie exceeded my expectations and I really enjoyed its 100 minutes.

Mortal Kombat (2021)

Something Different

I never was a fan of Mortal Kombat or Tekken, whether as a movie, anime or video game, but this movie was totally something different.

Well, the one comes mentally prepared that he or she is going to watch a movie of fantasy genre, hence all types of exaggeration are expected and accepted, however this movie has tackled the events in a very passable and engaging way, and I really loved it.

The number of prolonged scenes is numerous, where some are completely still.

Anyway, no wonder; the budget was only USD 100,000.
