Un autre homme, une autre chance (1977)
Cannot wait to see it with sound!
Became aware of this film a week ago, in a karaoke bar in - of all places - Tombstone, AZ. The movie was up on the widescreen TV, but the sound was turned off. Even so, the visuals had me focusing on the movie more than listening to the live music! First I'm seeing a war in Europe, then I'm seeing the American land races, back and forth, and well-known faces of James Caan, Genevieve Bujold, and dear old Richard Farnsworth. Even without sound, the tenderness of some scenes came through! Had to find out more about this film! So I jotted a few notes and looked it up by actors/together, and now that I have read more good reviews than bad, I will be putting it at the top of our rental list!
Flightplan (2005)
Now I don't have to see this film!
Well, thanks to Dan Geer of Movie Legacy, now I don't need to rent this DVD that I was really looking forward to. His prominent post with a total spoiler smack in the middle of it saved me the time, trouble, and money of renting, let alone buying it sight unseen.
There was no warning, just, boom! Here's the solution! But if we post spoilers without warning, we're banned for life. Hmm... Can someone even out the rules, please? Maybe review "official" submissions as well as those of the public? Thank you very much.
Meanwhile, I had to rate this film on the basis of how interested I was from seeing the trailers, because I haven't actually seen it and don't need to, courtesy of Mr. Geer.
