I loved this little science fiction/horror thriller by director Ron Chevarie! The film stars him and his wife Jan and is shot in the traditional found footage style with no added music or stingers. There are two aspects to this movie that really made it work well for me, the fact that you couldn't help but endear yourself to the characters and care about them, and the wild animated effects that take place in the finale. There's a great payoff at the end when all hell breaks loose that I wasn't fully expecting. Most found footage movies offer up a slow burn and then at the end there's a small payoff and I find often times that payoff isn't enough for me to have invested so much time. Here we get more excitement than we bargained for and the FX feel effortful and exciting! I highly recommend The Who Incident and look forward to seeing more original content like this from the creators in future!

Super entertaining!

I really enjoyed this teen comedy! It's a simple story about a teen who's in over his head with a girl and her psycho father. Lots of great characters, fleshed out really well, with really cool slang dialogue and some breathtaking cinematography of Florida. It's a bit of a coming of age tale like Superbad but with more gross out moments. The characters are written well, the acting and direction is on point. Maro Molina who plays Tim was the standout for me, his deceptive, wannabe bad boy persona really worked. For a lower budgeted movie this was really effective and I was fully entertained throughout it's runtime. I liked the aesthetic, everything from the colour grading, locations, costumes, score, even font choices. The pacing and intensity was really tight and I had real concern for Tim's future. This is a genuine teen gross out comedy with heart and flare and I look forward to seeing more from Gabriel Black in future! 10/10.

Saw the film at a festival where it won best picture. This movie really blew me away. It's exceptionally well directed and acted, the writing is tight as it's based on a stage play.
The movie is really surreal and follows our lead character looking for his missing sister who's disappearance seems to be linked to this bizarre method acting school led by an eccentric and seemingly evil teacher. Having gone to acting school myself, this was a welcome setting from the get-go but this movie had many moments of brilliance for me, stylistically reminding me me of films such as Black Swan and Mullholland Drive. Nothing is straight forward here, everything is open for interpretation.
Very inspiring motion picture, check it out!

My favourite horror film of the year.

This makes my top 10 horror in the movie theatre experiences of all time. Saw it at the Rio Theatre in Vancouver to a sold out crowd of 450 people. Being a low budget horror filmmaker this movie should be inspiration fuel to others. It's two hours and 18 min long and apparently the budget was $250,000. I enjoyed the long run time, made the movie feel like a true event. The gore is crazy over the top and adds to the humorous performance by Art the clown. The lead actress is incredible in this and I found myself really rooting for her, in fact all the acting was decent in this and it was clear that the direction was solid. Such a fun, atmospheric, and gory ride leaving lots of questions in an imminent and much anticipated Terrifier 3. Bring it on!
Excessive waste of production

The set looks incredible. So much money was spent on this show that could have gone to funding something way funnier. Very underwhelming experience. I love Jon and Tom but the money could have been spent on making a movie with them in it instead.

There is a fish that screams. The actresses ears are underwater and not encased in anything so how do they hear each other? Why is there an underwater stereo that sounds like its indoors? Why does a film with a 12 million dollar budget have such awful CGI? This was made by a stupid director for stupid people.

Nigel Bach is a good filmmaker. Being a filmmaker myself who has starred and acted in my own film, I know how much work goes into making a low budget feature. The fact that this movie manages to have a compelling story when the entire movie is about one character is a testament to it's creative merit and only ads to it's charm. I fully enjoyed this film. it's suspenseful, funny, and totally unpretentious. Found Footage is not an easy genre to pull off and Nigel's movie works in spades.
