The Bear (2022)
Oh wow
Didn't expect much from the show, just background noise at best. Seems slightly low budget. After a few episodes i set down my phone and got hooked. I love falling on a good show by accident. The acting gets better from the supporting cast and the writing is excellent. These shows are the gems that get cancelled if we don't spread the word on them. I rated it a 10 but realistically it's an 8... But what is a 10?
Theo Von: Regular People (2021)
Yeah boi
Yeah this is the one, this is the special that we've been waiting for. If you are a fan or just know who Theo is from comedy or podcasts then you know how great of a comic he is. Is last special was good and should have made more waves. But this one is the best stand up special of 2021. He did it in a big way, after Shane and Chapelle had big specials. Theo comes in with the hitters, i was in my living room giving applause. I have do pause several times to settle down. Great job Theo, y'all watch this for sure.
Dune (2021)
Lame
Boring. Just a bunch of scattered things we've seen in other sifi films only this one doesn't put it together. Never seen the original, would probably been better off going with that one so I wouldn't feel so like i was watching a TV version of the Star Wars universe.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Well.....
The Many Saints (translated = Molti Santi) of Newark is obviously supposed to be about Christopher's lineage and not the Soprano lineage. Anybody that didn't get that will automatically be let down.
Now that being said, so much of the movie was open ended and unexplained. It was like they didn't want to waste time explaining why certain things were happening. The acting might be good but the scenes were so short and choppy. Watch it just because, but don't expect much, it doesn't deliver.
To Olivia (2021)
Boring
It started off with James Horner and I shut if off and watched Braveheart again instead. The next day I gave it a chance and I regret not watching Braveheart for a second night. Snooze fest.
Burning Sands (2017)
Angry
You don't give Malik a headshot? Give people their credit IMBD.
In & of Itself (2020)
Oh, people are not ok?
This was just a magician's take of a Tony Robin's seminar. So many people out there are messed up and confused. I at times feel that way but at no point have I needed a "self help" solution. I have plenty of issues and struggles but I guess I was just raised to figure it out and if I can't, no shame in asking for help. I gave this 1 star not because it can't help some people but because of the profit they make off of it. With only a temporary solution like this performance you will need a part 2, and he will make a part 2 for you to pay for. I dislike preying on the less fortunate.
Fatale (2020)
Honestly
Boring and nobody is buying that Hillary is hot. Sorry.
A Teacher (2020)
Finish the season
So many people left a review defending Claire and the whole situation. The show makes you feel like it's not right but not that bad. Unfortunately so many people that left a review got invested in the characters and their feeling rather than taking a step back and seeing the situation in the show for what it is. Keep watching and finish the season so you can get your heads out of the clouds and realize what you just watched. It ended how it does in real life, and I hope people come back to change or delete their silly reviews that they left after only watching a few episodes and thinking they are watching some sexy affair.
Chick Fight (2020)
What?
I'm not sure if this was a real movie of just a spoof. It was a disaster either way.
All Joking Aside (2020)
Not even close
Why bother doing a movie about comedy and make it not funny? Even dark humor and the struggle is fine. Was this supposed to be Dave Attell mentors Tiffany Haddish in a world where comedy doesn't exist?. Don't waste your time with this one watch The Opening Act instead.
Greatland (2020)
What?
From what people say, there is a political message in this film that is supposed to be relevant to this day and age. Truth is this film is just some nonsense that was written during the car ride home from a San Francisco rave. The only genius you can find in this film is the fact that you can turn it off. I recommend you never even turn it on... You're welcome.
