Our Father (2022)
Overly dramatize much?
Jacoba came off as an imbalanced psychopath who doggedly pursued an oddity. Yep, the doctor was immoral and definitely twisted psychologically, but you said that you wanted siblings and now you have a village worth of half siblings. Focus on creating a local database so that your offspring don't breed, create a Facebook group for the half siblings to keep up with each other, have wonderful, giant family reunions and move on with your life. Every patient wanted the procedure so nobody was raped as she asserted, he is white and used his own sperm for convenience so no grand aryan scheme is in place as she asserted, he is religious and she tried to tie it to a religious cult based upon populating the world and again that's outrageous. Jacoba exposed the situation, but it's time for a more stable and rational member of the siblings to take over as their spokesperson.
Dr. Cline clearly had psychological health issues but that doesn't stop a single one of his unexpected offspring from continuing forward with their lives in a happy, healthy, stable manner. Many, many people have parents with mental health issues, so none of what they are dealing with on that front is exceptional. My personal family has an extremely excessive number of suicides in it, but that doesn't make me want to commit suicide. It does mean that I need to keep a close eye on my own mental health and the mental health of my children. That's all.
Note:
I understand that he had donor sperm and threw it away on a few occasions, but it was still a matter of convenience because he KNEW his sperm worked.
Also, there are some 40+ verses in the Bible that relate to the ideology of "being fruitful" or "multiplying" and many religious institutions (including the Catholic church) use this ideology of baring children and spreading their version of the word of God to the world.
Raised by Wolves (2020)
Good concept, bad execution
The mother character needed to go in about the 4th episode, most of the characters are absolutely idiotic and there isn't enough interaction with the planet.
Battlestar Galactica: Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down (2004)
Tigh me up, Tigh me down
This episode just continues my hatred for president Roslin. They know the Cylons can look human, but they also know that there are specific and have repetitive looks to the Cylons that look human. Yet, somehow she suspects Adama of being a Cylon based upon the word of a Cylon who was lying, causing chaos with fleet and desperate. Adama has a long, public history that includes having two adult children that were in the military as well. The whole concept is just poor writing. My next issue is that Gauis tests Boomer and gets an answer in minutes in the last episode, but in this episode suddenly it takes 11 hours to do a test. Again, very sketchy writing. There's so much potential in this series, but it just seems to always come up just a bit short of its potential.
WandaVision: Now in Color (2021)
Turned for the better
Finally the series is living up to the hype. The series got really interesting in this episode, the first two episodes sucked but just power through them to get here.
WandaVision: Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience (2021)
Just a giant failure so far
I get that this is a knock off of an old time sitcom in the style of Mary Tyler Moore or Bewitched and that most likely it's a setup for something to be relieved later, but it just wasn't entertaining. In fact, the only thing that I liked was Kathryn Hahn, her acting skill is really, really underappreciated. She sold her character really well without making out seem overly cheesy like every other character in the show.
WandaVision: Don't Touch That Dial (2021)
Wtf is happening?
There were signs of life in the last couple of minutes, but the rest was campy, cheesy, garbage. If they're going somewhere with this they need to start going because this is a ship that's sinking fast.
Hoops (2020)
I actually tried to like, but I couldn't.
I wanted to like this show. I kept watching it hoping that it would find its way because many new shows struggle in the beginning. After watching the whole season, I just couldn't. It was just bad. It failed in every way and had no redeeming value unfortunately. The main character is completely unlikable and the supporting characters are pretty weak as well. For example, Bojack Horseman was an awful person, but you could find a connection with his character and you rooted for him to get it together and find peace and happiness, you can't do that at all with the main character of Hoops at all.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Rejoined (1995)
Worst episode of the entire series
Knowing the consequences of losing the lives of both symbionts, these two former lovers..... sort of, continue to spend time alone with each other and allow their old feelings to be rekindled. I found the whole thing to be ridiculous and this was my least favorite episode of the entire Deep Space Nine series.
