Shôgun: Crimson Sky (2024)
Mindblowing,jaw dropping,heartbreak
Im speechless to be fair..This show is what was missing from the lives of everyone who love the high art of cinema. And this episode is the epitome of perfection.. I don't even think we need to dwell on the direction.. We have already knew that technically we are watching a top tier series..However, this particular episode has performances that you could see winning an Emmy award..Anna Sawai in perhaps the best performance of her life..There are few actors whose character you can understand just by looking at their face .. On Anna's face you can see all the pain, the sadness, the hardships that Mariko has suffered in her life.. It's a shame that the series ends next week, TV NEEDS shows like Shogun cause they just make the big screen more beautiful than it is
Cinematography 10/10
Screenplay 10/10 The whole show is a masterpiece
Acting 100/10 Anna Sawai should be an Emmy candidate just for this episode.
Shôgun: The Abyss of Life (2024)
Its episode 8 and people still dont understand what they are seeing
I mean when do you guys will understand that this is not an action samurai bloodbath which only can provide amazing effects and all-out fighting..Its basically like Game Of Thrones made in Feudal Japan. The timeline is after the Azuchi Momoyama period and all the leaders battling of who will become the next Shogun, the military AND political leader of Japan..And thats what this show trying to do..Instead of going in a more fascinating way which can bring more people to watch it they want to stay true on the political things of the amazing and beautiful Feudal Japan..And thats another episode that stays faithful to this..Everyone in this cast is amazing, some more than others but the performances are on point while sometimes they reach to the point that they grip you down with how amazing they are .. Yea i want a big Samurai fight and i believe we will see it in the last 2 episodes..And with the stakes that have been builted for 8 episodes i am sure it will deliver
Shogun is the pleasant surprise of this year and one of the most well-written and produced series of the last years.
The Last of Us: When You're Lost in the Darkness (2023)
Best pilot episode in the history of Television(?)
The word magnificent its too small to call this first episode of The Last Of Us series..Let me just say that im a fanatic fan of the games(especially the first one,for me its the best videogame EVER by far)so listening that HBO its taking the masterpiece to make it a live adaptation was a little frightening for me. Until the protagonists names came up..I swear Pedro Pascal is born for being Joel Miller. Now lets go to Bella...I really didnt understand all this big negativity about Bella and not looking like videogame Ellie..I DONT CARE if you know Bella you know its the best casting for Ellies role..Now back to the episode, the first 30 minutes its something out of this world..Like one of the best half and hour i have had for a long time...Imagine i know EXACTLY what is going to happen and i still got the goosebumbs, fear and emotionallity i had when i played the game 10 years ago. Seriously im so glad they made it just the way it was supposed to be,believe me if it continues in that way we gonna have one of the best series EVER..
10/10 EASILY for me if i had more points to give i would freaking give them. And remember...
