Okay. Don't get me wrong, this movie was entertaining. There are just so many things happening. Like, we've got the "starting a new life from rags to riches" plotline, but then we've got the forbidden love plotline, the traumatic past plotline, but then there's also car racing and underground fighting... maybe it just didn't seem cohesive because it was dubbed? To be honest, I'll probably watch it again, but in Spanish if I can find it. One thing that bothered me is that it's not only glorifying the step-sibling relationship but also the fact that she's underage throughout the entire movie. And it just feels a little weird to me. I read this was adapted from a book? So maybe I'll read the book. Overall, it kept me occupied.

I don't know what I expected. The acting is so terrible in this movie. Like. The landscapes are better actors than the leads. I guess if not anything else, it was a waste of time that allowed me to beat several dozen candy crush levels.
If it wasn't for the fact that Benjamin Mascolo is eye candy, I probably would have shut it off after only a few minutes. But the fact that he's lovely, doesn't make up for the fact that he is, in fact, one of the worst actors I've ever seen.
As for Bella Thorne, I feel like every movie she's in is the same. Her characters are dense and have no personality. It seems like she takes roles to show off her body in lingerie and doesn't actually care about the substance in the role.
Whatever. A paycheck is a paycheck, I guess.

The movie is entertaining for what it is.
If you were a fan of the series, you will be entertained. If you're looking for an Oscar winning film... look further. This movie is meant to appease fans of the series and nothing more. There are plot holes and there are parts that make no sense, but the series felt the same way.
If you'd never seen the series, you'd have no idea what was happening in the movie, because there are so many callbacks to the series. For somebody like me who has seen the series, it was a nice throwback and there were a lot of really cool references. I enjoyed seeing the gang get back together and doing their thing. There were certain characters I wish we could have spent more time with in the movie, but obviously, being limited to two hours (rather than a whole season), there is a lot that needs to be cut. Despite not spending enough time on what the last 15 years looked like for some of our favorite characters, it was still a fun little nod to the series and I was glad to be able to feel a little nostalgia for the show. I do wish, however, that there could have been a new villain rather than an old one resurrected, but I'll take what I can get.

Honestly this show is so good. I binged the whole first season in two sittings. It seems a little slow to start, but there are a lot of details you should be paying attention to. Tons of little clues and red-herrings.
The writing is spectacular and I love that the dialogue is in so many different languages. There was never a single part of the show I didn't feel glued to the TV. If you're into shows that really make you think, this is for you. The acting is superb from each member of the cast.
I'm not quite sure why they list horror as one of the genres because I definitely didn't find it to fit.

This movie wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't great. If I'm being honest, I only watched it because I like Dominic Sherwood. That being said, the plot isn't that bad and the dialogue is okay. There are a few plot holes and the CGI is awful. I probably wouldn't watch it again, but I also wouldn't tell anyone NOT to watch it. It was entertaining and there are a lot of action sequences. If you're looking for something to watch to pass the time, sure why not?
There are a few things that could have been improved upon overall, but this is a movie made to entertain, not win an Oscar.
5/10 doesn't hold a candle to the original Eraser.

You know when you read reviews of movies and you're like, "okay, it can't really be THAT bad..."?
Welllll folks, this one is THAT bad. Horrible acting from literally the entire cast. The audio is terrible, there are small noises throughout the entire movie that shouldn't be there (i.e. Microphones rubbing things) the audio is off between different scenes and cast members. The writing is so awful and unbelievable. There are so many plot holes. Jumps and weird gaps in scenes that don't make sense. The makeup and special effects are insanely awful.
You should assume anyone who is rating this movie more than 2 stars is trolling you.
Don't waste your time.

Honestly, the jumpy filming and editing techniques give me a headache. It's like it tried to be artsy and unique but it just screams "we had bad lighting and we tried to make up for it by over color correcting." The dialogue is awkward and unbelievable between the actors. Speaking of the actors, I don't know that I've EVER seen worse acting. I couldn't even make it through the entire movie because it was sincerely lacking any sort of substance.
