Regret

It's a feat of fantastic laziness to make something so brainless that it lacks even an ounce of redemption. The Flash crew is to be applauded.

Good

Brooklyn Nine-Nine has the unique distinction of being somehow enjoyable and copaganda at the same time. Cast is top tier, writing is consistently coherent, and it doesn't revolve entirely around the characters' egos. And it's not super preachy unlike roughly every single other cop show on TV, which is a plus.

Ghosted (I) (2017)

This show won't piss you off.

Truth told, this show is so dumb you'll struggle to get through the first episode. But when most other shows on TV seem bent on writing each episode with the express intention of making people feel like fresh squeezed crap, Ghosted is a breath of fresh air. It's lighthearted, and goofy, and the two leads are good together, and by all the stars in heaven they actually manage to make jokes that don't rely on igniting people's anger/bitterness/prejudices to land. And they succeed, is the thing. Once you quiet a good 90% of your inner hyper-critical pop culture nerd, you will probably find yourself laughing out loud at some of the episodes.

TLDR: it's dumb but a great palate cleanser for when you're sick of watching things that make you kind of feel like the world is about to end.

What happened
20 April 2018
Watch season 1 for the well written characters, the gruff anti-hero magnetism of Kristen Ritter's performance, the representation of a healthy friendship between adult women (which is weirdly hard to find), the top-tier cinematography, David Tenant's ability to make your skin crawl, and one of if not the most faithful depiction of PTSD on TV.

Watch season 2 to wallow in a cesspool of relentless darkness, lacking any levity or balance or coherent plot, in which each episode is playing a suicidal game of oneupmanship with the one that came before it. The quality of the entire production took such a nose-dive I wouldn't even call it the same show anymore.

Bring it back you cowards
20 April 2018
Listen, I'm not saying whoever decided to cancel Crazyhead after one season deserves to be taken out behind the shed and dealt with, I'm just saying the entire entertainment industry should get a restraining order against someone who's obviously off their entire rocker.
