I'm a Virgo (2023)
9/10
originality and weirdness at its best
24 June 2023
What a weird series. I mean that in the best way possible. Having loved sorry to bother you, i had a feeling there would be some political/social critiques, but by the last episode it dives fully into those. It's not subtle, but that's the point. It's meant to open the audiences eyes.

The performances are top notch from everyone, especially jharrel jerome though. He captures the anxieties that a 13ft tall man who has been hidden from the world would feel, and it feels so awkwardly realistic. I love how boots riley dives fully into the weirdness of the show as well. He clearly had his vision, and it looks like he didn't let anyone stand in his way.

I really hope there's a season 2 because they leave us on a subtle cliffhanger, but a pretty big one at that. I thoroughly enjoyed this and it's originality. Give boots riley more money to make his ideas come to the screen!!

Succession: All the Bells Say (2021)
Season 3, Episode 9
10/10
Tom FREAKING Wambsgans
13 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Blew me away. Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Jesse Armstrong and the Succession team always love to end on a bang, and holy schnikes they did. Tom and Logan win this episode. Especially Tom. Bad. Ass.

I can't wait for season 4, and I can't wait for this show to sweep the emmys.

Succession: Chiantishire (2021)
Season 3, Episode 8

Roman just dug his own grave with one of the most unforgettable television scenes
6 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Just when I thought this show couldn't surprise me anymore, Jesse Armstrong and his incredible writing team, along with director Mark Mylod for this episode, give us this incredible hour of television. The tension throughout this whole episode is very strong, none of it good tension. For example, the conversation between Shiv and her Mother, the conversation between Shiv and Tom after their interesting sexual experience the night before, and of course the two stand out scenes from this episode.

The dinner scene between Kendall and Logan is an absolute perfect example of the master of subtlety. Brian Cox absolutely kills it with the delivery of his hateful, cruel, and manipulative lines. Jeremy Strong as always kills it by making Kendall look as if his heart is genuinely being stomped on, because to him it is.

Then of course, the moment that everyone is going to be talking about: The Dick Pic. It's been awhile since any type of media has made me audibly gasp and slap my hand to my mouth, but here we are. I was not at all expecting that to happen and it made me cringe so goddamn hard but man is it genius television. It sets up so many possibilities. Is Roman going to get shunned now and will Shiv take his place as Daddy's favorite? Will he fire Gerri like he implied and will Gerri join Kendall and go after ATN? Will nothing change?

Very excited to find out next Sunday, but very sad that it will be the end of one of my favorite seasons of television I have ever seen.

A Quiet Place (2018)
9/10
This will for sure be in the top 10 best movies of 2018
8 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I love a good horror movie and this was definitely that! The way they started the movie with beau getting killed was a great way to build the mood of how dark the world was and how it really is a terrible place and you can never be to careful. Krasinski and blunt put on outstanding performances but blunt really stands out for me. The amount of emotion she puts into it is just outstanding. Not your average horror movie. There's a heart felt story under all of the terror. When lee signed I love you right before he sacrificed himself was fantastic and my friends and I were a mess. So I highly recommend that you see this movie!

Fantastic Fantastic Fantastic!!!!

I'll be honest I'm a musical theater geek and I have been very disappointed with the latest shows like hairspray and a Christmas story, but this has been amazing! NBC really hit the jackpot with this one! John legend puts his own spin on Jesus and Brandon Victor Dixon is a phenomenal performer as Judas and blew me away. I hope FOX and CBS and ABC take note from nbc and put on phenomenal performances like this one!
