Is everyone high when making this movie?
12 January 2020
Where do I start, this is one confusing movie that's for sure.

I get it, it's a nice piece of cinematography but what happens to your storytelling and dialogues, there's no narration at all.

I am left confused and had to figure things out by myself and by the time I reach a conclusion the movie has ended and I am getting all headache from all the thinking this movie made me do.

I get it the box is probably some sort of teleportation device, but not everybody will get it the way this movie presents the story, you'll have to be scholar with a lot of brain power to understand what the movie is all about.

God dammit! Tell me what is it about.

Whatever it takes
24 April 2019
Watched Avengers: Endgame twice on its premiere screening day, it's absolutely amazing, the story is well put, doesn't matter if sometimes I still keep checking my watch, I had no intention of leaving the theater on both occasion.

To my surprise, there are more female audience during the screening, and hearing their chatters and reactions clearly shown that they are as invested as me about this movie. It was all a good time.

I know I left a bad review about Captain Marvel but in this movie, she's more or less justifiable in both her action and personality. I know there are some feminism at the final war scene, but I don't think it's bothering me so much, as I enjoy the sisterhood in action this time.

I am trying my best not to spoil anything here, it's all my personal opinion that this was one of the best cinema experience I had in a while, had waited for this for a year, it's worth it.

Watched it and hated it
19 April 2019
I watched this movie on premiere night. To me, the main character's development lacking of back story and emotional values that we usually look for when watching superhero movie.

There's not enough time or really bad writing to let viewers understand what is Captain Marvel suffering through, I am a man and also countless times have been told that "I can't do it, I won't amount to anything", but is that really the kind of suffering I had to go through to become an "arrogant" superhero like captain marvel? Meh.

Everything was forced to happen, even now, writing this, I can barely remember any memorable scene in the movie at all.

What a let down, I wish movie tickets are refundable, this feels like scamming. And between now and then, I will see captain marvel as a "villain", thanks to the portrayal by the arrogant and undefeated Brie Larson.

Hotel Mumbai (2018)

Major Major Loophole
9 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
If you watched this you maybe wondering why don't everyone in the hotel just go out of the hotel in the first place instead of moving to chambers lounge, they have about 2.5 hours (movie time) or 12 hours (time that took place in the movie).

At the end, they finally decided to go out from emergency stairs to outside, by then, again, because of plot, a stupid guest manages to call a news staff (how?) and reveal everyone's location.

Everyone's death in this movie is either by their own mistake or just simply misfortune. The American lady that got shot by the emergency stair, she went out herself after badly injured just to get herself killed.

Everyone could have just go outside in the first 30 minutes in the movie, instead they lock themselves on chambers lounge on the sixth floor, don't understand why.

Loved everything about it except...
28 July 2018
Watched this yesterday, the movie plot is really good, both characters' backstory were built in such a short period of time but they are flawless, plot twist that makes you wonder where things are really headed are presented in such a nice way.

I loved everything about it until at the last scenes, "my loved one is gonna die-sudden power up" cliche really turned me down, just as the evil character one said during the showdown... I hate it so much when cliche like this happen, it ruins the whole character's progress...

Watch it if you like superhero story with good animation and plot, maybe skip it if you have watched way too many superhero movies... your choice

It's not Rampage! It's all about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
12 April 2018
I think this just me that getting tired or seeing the same cheesy movie by Dwayne, plus there's Neegan (literally the same character, by the way).

Dwayne is a shy guy that "as always" admired by young ladies. And "as always", the movie is centered around Dwayne.

The movie itself has no storyline, that's why the sidekick girl has to explain everything along the way, even the duo villain talks about their plan as they are in a scene.

Seen this kind of movie format and plot over and over makes me tired and wondering why do they make such movie?

Story and its message don't match at all
29 March 2018
Watched this yesterday and I find myself confused at the end, the story is about some people fighting to save the virtual world, but the message of the story is about how the virtual world makes you miss the real world.

I find it hard to agree to the whole storyline, such a made up situation, not really invested with the backstory of oasis at all and yet we were force to follow along.

The guy situation with his aunt and boyfriend is weird, no resolution from there too. It's a bad movie to watch because you don't find the story match the message it tried to leave behind.
