Resident Alien (2021– )
9/10
A breath of fresh air indeed!
23 February 2021
Resident Alien feels like the show we really need in these times. I mean, the whole thing is just full with hope and love but also with twisted and dark themes. Dark, as a human looking alien's story can be but come on, this is some good stuff!

TV series are sometimes cheap but this is also not the case here. This show feels freaking great! The dynamics, the jokes, the CGI, everything. I am amazed how good this show is.

10/9 because while I am really liking it, I need a bit more of it for a 10/10

Love is overrated
21 October 2020
Love and Monsters is... actually pretty great.

I found this very funny in a year where everything ends up being bad. I really wanted to dislike this film just because it looks like a big CGI fest from the trailer. To my surprise, Love and Monsters is more than that. It is a journey about (in my point of view) overcoming a tragedy that defines you.

Love is mostly just in the title, this is more of an emotional ride than a teen romantic comedy stuck in the apocalypse. Go watch it. "You better."

The Terminal (2004)

I wait!
18 July 2020
Steven Spielberg is without a doubt one of the greatest story tellers in cinematic history. His human touch in his films, the emotions which can be felt through his stories are so powerful that I can only love his movies.

The Terminal is about waiting and being patient about things to come. It can be anything, love, guilt, freedom or even power but waiting is a key point in every life. Spielberg created a movie which makes you realize this simple life lesson without holding your hand too much or even trying to make the audience cry in a forced way. Viktor is probably the sweetest man alive and while his journey can be heart touching, it is still a down to earth representation of a human that wants to make someone happy with keeping a promise. I really liked that the ending is kept in a bitter sweet fashion, making the movie a sad but fulfilling journey.

A near perfect bloody sequel
26 December 2019
Zombieland: Double Tap is the sequel of Zombieland (2009) which was a hit among audiences and critics alike. The original movie was a zombie movie with a comedy twist put into it is DNA creating an original and funny film. The characters were charming and funny, the gore and the action was great and the jokes were spot on. What do we got in the sequel? Double of it as the name suggests? Much more, I think. You see, Zombieland: Double Tap is a rare gem across movie sequels. This film is made with love and care from a director who's biggest hit was the original movie so he tried his best to make this one also entertaining. The action is really great, the jokes are still spot on with a little meta touch and the film is bloody as hell. It introduces some world building for some potential sequels but never really suggests that there is Zombieland 3 in the works, but I would really love the idea of it. Zombieland: Double Tap is everything what I wanted from sequels this year that I could not get from movies like Terminator: Dark Fate. I would recommend this movie to everyone who liked the original Zombieland but if you are not familiar with it, you can enjoy it by itself without the 2009 original but you will miss out some of the jokes along the way.

Snake? Snake?! SNAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
23 November 2019
Movies like this always interest me on the Netflix catalogue because they always have a very interesting concept, which turns up bad. The movie is basically an episode of an anthology series like Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. We got a mother with a child who wonders in the desert when their car brokes down in the middle of nowhere. The child is bitten by a snake and a mysterious woman heals the girl FOR A PRICE.

Sounds interesting and it really is but the whole movie is about this event. No twists, no development, nothing. Just some interesting ideas, thrown together, dragged out.

A sequel which is much better than the original
29 May 2019
V/H/S 2 is the sequal of V/H/S which is an anthology about people finding tapes, about otherworldly events. V/H/S 2 is an improvement over the first one, in basically every aspect. The stories and the events are more brutal and entertaining and some of them, are very great and absolute movie materials. The ending one is my favourite but the bicycle one with the zombies is also great. V/H/S 2 is bloody, gory and funny sometimes and it can give you chills while make you feel entertained. The whole tape thing is explained too, giving them some mystery element that there are several of them and some people just collect these. I really wanted V/H/S to be the next big thing, but the third one makes me so sad. It was really bad, compared to this.

All in all, V/H/S 2 is a great movie with great stories. I can recommend the first and the second one, but the third one is not that great.

So much potential
29 May 2019
V/H/S is something very special to me. It is a collection of short stories and oh boy, do I like anthologies. So I was expecting it to be, straight on point with the stories but some of them really got me into thinking what I just saw. I needed to, really get into them which is the point of the movie about these VHS tapes. The tapes are fine with the exception of the second which is about a trip, that one was... too normal I guess, but it was fine. The others, are totally not like what I excepted. These tales are really make you feel weird and that is what this movie wants, but sometimes the beginning of them just too slow. At the end, I liked it really much. It was scary at points, it was tense and all in all, it was entertaining. I liked it, give it a go.

The idea is so good, the directors not so much
29 May 2019
ABCs of Death is a great idea of bringing short stories into the cinemas, giving attention to some known or unknown artists to shine. Also, some directors should NOT direct anything at all in the future based on their works here. ABCs of Death is something very special, when you got into the mood. BUT! If I were not interested in the first place and someone just wanted to watch this with me, I would easily say that this is garbage because of some segments. Some of the Japanese films were so hardcore trash, that I wasn't able to realise what I just saw. These, are the really bad ones but if you survive them, you will find really cool stories like A or L. The not bad ones are also so sick that at the end, I liked them because of their braveness to talk about their subjects with this attitude. All in all, I liked some but hated many. I give it a five, because it is totally random that you will like the collection or not. If I skip the bad parts of it, it would be a 6-7, but in this way just a 5.

A really mixed bag of feelings
29 May 2019
ABCs of Death 2 is an improvement on the first one in almost every way. The short films are much enjoyable but at some point, I asked myself: is this good? The first one contained some really weird shorts and it was so bizarre that it was enjoyable after a while. This, contains very down to earth stories most of the time but there are still some weird stuff in there. Anyway, the quality of the whole is improved. The first one made me think sometimes, L was my favourite but in this, there were so many twisted and chilling stories that really got me, because some of them were so believable. It is nothing groundbreaking, but check this one out if you liked the first one.

I am so sorry everyone.

It was just.. wasn't for me I guess? Avengers: Endgame is an epic tale of a closing chapter in the Marvel universe, presented as a serious movie with Marvel puns, gags and CGI heavy battles. The film tries to reinforce the fact, that what happend in IW is serious and the 3 hour long screen time makes you wander: Is this good or bad? 1 hour or so is about bragging about what happend at the end of the Infinity War, superheroes whining about their existence like "we shouuuuuuuld doooo somethiiiiing" but nothing happens for most of the part. I tried to like it, really but as a comic book movie, it was just pure fan service and good CGI with a lot of pointless scenes where everything is too explained. What I would like to point out that, IW was much better. It was a comic book movie, tried to be what it is and at the end it turned out to be much more. This, feels like the opposite. This film wants to be the "much more" part and at the end, it remembers that it is a comic book movie. There was a grand battle at this movie which reminded me to Anchorman where everyone from everywhere comes to battle along the heroes. It was so.... not serious at all? I don't know...

If you are a Marvel fan, go out and watch it. You will have fun 100%. Anyone else, just try to like it, like I did...

A good movie in this franchise!
26 March 2019
I was really curious about this movie, because finally a Transformers which changed the director! This movie is a light hearted tale about a misbehaving girl who founds out that his car is actually an autobot, called Bumblebee. The story is fine , it is a lot like ET in some aspects but it's fine. I liked the CGI and the characters, the lead was fine and the action was really down to earth. It was a great movie, worth a watch!

One of the greatest spoof movies!
26 March 2019
Charlie Sheen is always a guy who just cheers you up when you see him in a movie. If it's not the case, he will always provide at least a fair share of entertainment. This movie was totally hilarious because of his acting and the over the top jokes. These kind of comedies died out, but still if you see one you will laugh 100%. If you want a good laugh, watch it!

Deadpool 2 (2018)

Why so serious?
19 May 2018
Sometimes when you go to your local cinema to watch a movie, you just go there for a good laugh and entertainment. If you choose Deadpool 2, you will get these but to be honest,it's not that groundbreaking like the first one. What I mean is that the movie is good but Deadpool itself got a little bit exhausted along the way and everyone is funny in this movie (except for Cable) even Deadpool is funny at times but his jokes are the same and sometimes it's boring. The character is still good but he's at best when he has the chance to interact with the others. The action is really good, the characters are very funny and lovely and all in all, it's a good movie but there's no need for Deadpool 3,I think. Give him a team and make it big it will totally help!

5,7? Really?
14 May 2018
I was searching for a good action movie when I found this gem and when I saw the score I thought "oh my god, this will be hardcore GARBAGE" but oh boy I was wrong. I really enjoyed this movie,it's not about big explosions and CGI it's just hardcore action.Bloody and intense. The action and the fight scenes are very well done,Ethan Hawke is amazingly good at being an action star and the story is kinda creative,I never seen anything like this before I think. Still, it's not the best movie I ever saw but at least it's a well made action flick which deserves a better rating.
