Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Great sequel.
This is a movie that was great to watch. I am a big Spider-man fan so when I heard that Doc. Ock was to be the villain I was disappointed but only because I really wanted to see Venom. But after that I realised that Doc. Ock on screen should be brilliant. And I think I was right. Alfred Molina was stealing the show during the movie. I had heard reviews and read what the critics had said and so many said that Molina stole the show. I thought "Someone stealing the show in a spider-man film who isn't actually Spider-Man. Couldn't be, but it is. I was a little let down by the ending but a great watch totally worth seeing. Some parts drifted from the comics but if it didn't why watch the film. 9/10 (needed some Venom or Carnage)
The Blues Brothers (1980)
Timeless classic, awesome music and an awesome cast... plus the best car chases ever!
The Blues Brothers is one of the best movies I have ever seen. With so many music legends in here and Belushi and Aykroyd are brilliant. When they perform in the film it is classic stuff. You can watch this film over and over again just to listen to the music. To listen to James Brown, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway and the Blues Brothers. The songs are all brilliant.
And the ending that must have been one almighty wage demand. It must have cost a lot of money to destroy all the glass, cars and just everything. Then add that to the cameos from huge stars and the actual cast in full. But one of if not the best bit is the car chase. All those cars piling up the chase in the mall, through Chicago and all the cars getting destroyed. Falling from a great height and creating a huge hole in the road, crashing into trucks, flying into lakes it has everything. Humour, action, fabulous music, what more do you need in a movie. At two and a half hours might test the patience of some people but it was totally worth it. One of my favourites, one for the ages. Great writing by Dan Aykroyd and John Landis and great directing by Landis. And another great way to remember Cab Calloway, Ray Charles but mainly John Belushi.
