There is a way to do parodies and satire...but this isn't it. The over-acting and under-acting...the phony "Colorado accent" almost make this movie unwatchable. I love spoofs, parodies and satire. But most of them are at least funny. Even black comedies have redeeming qualities. Christmas with the Campbells is more cringe-worthy than redeeming. A decent parody at a minimum has characters that have some chemistry. There is no chemistry between either the main characters...Snow and Long...nor Wendt and Duffy. Satire still has to work. This one just doesn't do it for me. I tried. Watched the whole movie. But my 4 stars was generous.

Probably the worst Hallmark movie I've seen. Script was bad. Acting was bad. Davida Williams wasn't bad but Richard Harmon was 1000% miscast for this lead role. There was no chemistry and it was just difficult to watch. I was ready to turn it off about 20 minutes in. Finished watching it only to leave a review. It's dishonest to leave a review for a movie you only watched part of. And I agree with other reviewers about the tennis aspect being off. Most Hallmark movies at least have romance. This one misses the sport and the romance.
My 2 stars was being generous. One step above horrible. There really isn't much more to say...but I keep getting the warning box that is telling me I haven't said enough.

Good storylines similar to Elementary. Some action, romance and funny elements.
Nice to see a Northern California base and storylines. Unfortunately it was primarily filmed in Southern California. And as someone who has lived in NorCal for decades it was frustrating to see or hear a city or town name but the shooting scenery was all wrong. Or cities that are 100s of miles and hours apart portrayed as the next town over. It takes longer than 30 minutes to get from Sacramento to San Francisco. They could have done a better job in selecting scenes that match the storyline if they were going to be using actual landmarks, cities and locations.

Update...absolutely thrilled that they ended up doing a second season. I guess the petitions and social media campaigns worked. Now just have to X fingers that there will be a Season 3!!
Great series. And thank gawd it's not another reboot, redo, rehash or just another already-been-done series. It's original and the cast was awesome. Hopefully it returns for a season 2!!

Okay...I gave it 2 episodes. The first episode was awful, second was bad. It's just not funny. Dog fart jokes...seriously? This could have been waaaay better. If this is today's cadult animation"...I'll go watch re-runs of The Simpsons.

Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope was the first movie I ever saw. So the franchise will always have a special place in my heart. I loved the first trilogy. Accepted the second. And I really wish they had never made the last trilogy. I can only hope in my heart of hearts that George Lucas has 3 unknown scripts that may be discovered one day and these last 3 movies will be redone the way they were supposed to be. No one can tell Star Wars like Lucas. Now maybe many of us that grew up with the Star Wars universe can put this series to bed and dream about what could have been that wasn't.

To those complaining about the movie not being true to the movie location...this is ridiculous. Almost all Hallmark and Lifetime movies are filmed in Canada and the movie location is usually Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago or locales in Vermont. It is cheaper to film and produce made-for-tv movies in Canada. They have a studio, homes and towns they use year round to make almost all of their movies. Otherwise they would have 3 or 4 Christmas movies per year rather than the 20 plus they make. It costs millions to block off streets and shoot movies in the cities they say the location really is. Many of these movies are based on books, short stories or novellas and they try to stay within the geographic location of the original story. Some use fictitious towns. Very few movies...including million dollar blockbusters...are filmed in the location that is represented in the movie. It wouldn't be financially feasible to film a made-for-tv movie in a city of 75,000.
