The Pale Blue Eye (2022)
Be sure to turn up the volume.
Saw this on Netflix and saw the review rating prior to viewing the movie. That said, I could have slept through the whole movie. Nothing to engage the viewer. More than half the movie dialogue is in a whisper. Is this ghe new style now? Either load enough to knock you out of your seat or so quiet you need to have a hearing aid to understand what is being said. The acting is so-so. I did not think Christain Bale made much of an effort, he seem to force things along. The plot rambles and does not flow well. Too many long pauses and seemed like choppy editing. Way to long and really a waste of time.
A Christmas Detour (2015)
Lack of effort
Extremely poor acting, worse than a grade xchool production. There is not one character to like. All of the characters are extremely annoying. Hallmark makes no effort in production. Just once you would like to see real snow in one of their movies. Then story line is about a snowstorm completely block all transportation systems, airports closed and trains not running. Yet they are driving around all over the countryside, in a two foot snowstorm. There are all kinds of errors in the storyline like when they crash the car on Christmas Eve, the mechanic can't work on it because he is closing early, but he'll get to it first thing the next morning. Really, on Christmas Day? Hallmark needs to try harder.
RED (2010)
Bloody funny
Lots of fighting, lots of little jokes. But with a budget of $58 million, you would think they would be able to find some decent editors. Look at the list of goofs, it's crazy. And one was missed. On the elevator Mary-Louise Parker says to Bruce Willis, you speak Chinese? There is no language called Chinese, Mandarin or Cantonese would have been more appropriate.
Past that, the ensemble is of highest quality and the execution excellent. The plot is a little far fetched, but it's based on z comic, so no surprises here. Thought the music used as background was well presented. Sorry to see that Bruce Willis cannot continue on with the franchise beyond RED2.
Couples Retreat (2009)
Please disregard any imdb rating.
All the haters posted her are either unemployed writers, because they lack creativity, or they hate one of the actors. Movies are like wine, everyone has different tastes. If your looking for a boring Oscar nominated movie, move on. If you want a break from reality, this is a fun trip to have a few laughs along the way. Carlos Ponce deserved a nomination for his role. If his scenes don't make you laugh, seek help.
Mother! (2017)
Really?
There is no point to watch this movie. You not learn a anything, there are no insights to anything mystical. A complete waste of 121 minutes.
