The Tim Dillon Show (2019)
The new "Carlin"
Tim is an indisputable and complete genius. Socio/political commentary that refuses to be defined by party. A genius man speaking for an hour per episode using In-depth sarcasm to realign everything we think we know about our culture. He's right, we're all wrong. Get with it, if you don't like it, then you're fake business. Yes or yes? Get real and leave your puny morals behind. This is the man you think you are. The Thin Red Line (1998)
I respect all war movies immensely, but this film is annoying.
I have great grandparents who served in both theaters of WWII both in Europe and the Pacific. I will watch and enjoy almost any films both good and bad on the war just for references each way. On this one though, I must say, man, this film is annoying. An hour of the film spent on one hill with constant badgering between the men this way and that, maybe it was accurate in a way, but the entire focus is on it. The main distraction for me is this ridiculously long lineup of legendary actors with such little substance. It comes to the point where I'm like, "Am I watching a quality war movie, or am I watching a big budget film blown on a colossal lineup of actors to make it seem like a legendary film without the content to back it up?" I just keep seeing great actor after great actor, but the movie accomplishing nothing. Watch HBO's "The Pacific" or Clint Eastwoods Pacific theatre movies of you want amazing Pacific War action. Overall, I would consider this film more of a novelty like "Platoon" (which I loved) compared to a more focused war film i.e "Saving Private Ryan".
