Jiang hu er nü (2018)

An epic Gangster tale by the Godfather of Chinese independent cinema

I felt privileged to watch this on its premier at the Cannes Film Festival 2018, with Zang-ke Jia and the cast. The film revolves around Qiao (Played by Tao Zhao) who is the girlfriend of Bin (Fan Liao) a mobster in a small town, who likes to believe he is a big fish in this small pond.

The film shows how the couple drift away along with their youth and optimism, captured in a three act structure, the undying love of Qiao for Bin and how it remains just as strong through the passing of time. Both Qiao and Bin are very well written characters and the cinematography is flawless, on a lighter note Carl and Biddu's 'Kung Fu Fighting' plays a vital role in this movie.

You should definitely watch this movie if you are a fan of Zhao and Liao, also watch this if you liked 'Mountains May Depart'.

Indian Summers (2015–2016)

With solid preproduction and great cast, the team have made sure that they haven't left any corners untouched

Just watched the first episode on Channel 4, the pilot was 1 hr 45 min long but wasn't boring at all though some of it was a bit predictable but it's only the first episode and still got 9 more to go. The first episode was about Ralph Whelan and the rest of the Indian Civil Service begin the annual move to Simla where Cynthia Coffin prepares the exclusive white British Club for the summer season. Overall it was a great experience and especially performance by Jemima West, Julie Walters, Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Nikesh Patel were flawless and true to their character. The sets looks great and hope the audience enjoys it and the producers manage to make the remaining 30 episodes.

Perfect Sense (2011)

Quite an Eye opener

I don't know where to start, but it was quite an eye opener, since civilization began there are certain things that we take for granted, The basic things like our senses you will only realise it when you lose them.... as they say "Perhaps only in a world of the blind will things be what they truly are".. To understand the true beauty of life, you need to know what being alive is all about. After watching the movie I felt that it answered some of my questions... I think everyone should watch this movie... you might find it a bit slow phased but believe me it's a ride worth going for.... Ewan McGregor has done a marvellous job and so did Eva Green, the direction is flawless and it moves like poetry. Please watch this movie....

Another rip of a Malayalam Movie

I have only seen this movie recently, and within the first 10 Minutes came to know it was a frame by frame copy of a Malayalam movie Chitram by Priyadarshan, and Chitram was one of his biggest Malayalam HIT. The Screenplay BG music was the same as Malayalam, but Mithun failed to justify Mohanlal's acting and over all apart from Anupam Kerr the remaining cast were just average and the music was no different. This would have been much better if Priyan himself directed this movie, some times it takes a good director to bring out the character on an actor. If you have 2 hours to waste then watch this movie or if you have the patiance then watch the original with subtitles

Lost City Raiders (2008 TV Movie)

Well Not that bad for TV ... But Still bad

I saw this on the Tele few Days ago ... Iam Somerhalder was in it from the Lost Fame.. That didn't stop me from watching it, The Theme is Old Fashioned. the Research is dump. and the whole story line is stupid. don't know why they made this. but in terms of production they did a fair deal, In terms of television standards this wasn't bad. Thecast wasn't so bad the lead was good, but not enough emotions every one seems so unrealistic with the never say die attitude as if thy were over paid for the job. the special effects were upto TV standards. The Director Jean de Segonzac have done few thrillers including CSI and law & Order and I believe he did his best to show justice and so did the cast but the Story line was Weak very weak indeed. It's not worth a watch but still try it.

This movie had a good possibility to turn into another memorable movie with a fairy tail touch, but due to bad directing bad acting and bad screenplay the movie sucked. They had the budget but I wonder what the producer thinking? the best part was Braeden Kennedy playing Sarah's brother … The worst were Sarah's parents and the useless comedy scenes in between reminds me of Steven Spielberg's comedies. The Group of bad actors filled the screen with boredom… There were some moments in the movie which failed to click… I wish if they took some more time and a better director and the whole movie could have been a memorable one, The whole theme was good and could have attracted a large young audience but failed… and the use of CGI were also useless.

Kaadhalan (1994)

Its worth watching

Its a quite sensitive romantic action musical Its music is spectacular and it was widely appreciated and most of its sequences are very well done. Its basically a poor boy meets rich girl kinda story but in here our hero is a son of a police constrable and he is in love with the corrupted governor's daughter and the story revolves around with the characters backed by beautiful scenes and music this film was way ahead of its time when released and can still enjoy watching it. its a group effort and good direction by Shankar and spectacular music by A.R Rahman Prabu Deva has done good acting this movie was his launch pad as an actor and this movie also gave A R Rehman a national recognition backed by splendid performance by Girish Karnad and Raghu Varan (Villian)

It is a well-acted movie I loved the movie Its Based on Sylvia Nasar's biography of John Nash. no doubt, with both Crowe and Connely turning in performances that convince you even when Goldsman's script does not. A True to Character performance by Russel I was never a Russell Crowe fan but this movie just made me one. Ron Howard is know to make solid, entertaining Hollywood movie. But neither he nor Goldsman, the author of dubious blockbusters like Batman & Robin, Practical Magic and Lost on Space Russell Crowe is just another late discovered jewel and he also proved it again on Cinderalla man. This Movie will get you on an amazing grip when the movie takes its pace you just cant know which is real and which is not. Overall its a splendid work and literally one of Roms best. I believe Russell did a wonder full work better than Gladiator.It really watered me The score by James Horner is wonderful.
