Not naughty and not nice
18 December 2023
Without spoilers, it's a mystery episode. With a rather cheesy guest star.

*One thing, not really a spoiler...Marge found 2 old stimulus checks stuck to the inside of the mailbox and that was the money the family used for the episodes setting...unfortunately, wealthy Hollywood is so out of touch with the common folk that they didn't realize that those treasury checks are only good for 180 days or 6 months...meaning she couldn't deposit them or cash them. Since timing-wise it's been well over a year since the last payments expired.

That doesn't ruin the ep. Just something I noticed. The episode itself was a bit better than some of the others from this season.

Not too bad for a STV movie
30 November 2022
This one a few names you'll recognize but don't expect too much from this one. Some suspense, action and a few reminders of Lethal Weapon 2. Don't look for sophisticated or meaningful tech thriller info in this one. It's all vague and generic chatter with no real tech value. Yet another flick where a man is n trouble and has been having problem with his family, a very common theme now a days. A twist near the end which was as predictable as any I've ever seen, but still a slightly below average offering. Worth a watch if you don't have pay much. Gibson did a pretty good job portraying an old veteran of the bomb squad and Dougherty played a small role as the Captain of the Dept.

Filled with sick symbolism
9 September 2022
Most younger audiences and those who are not aware of other cultures will probably not notice all of the offensive symbolism in this film. Suffice to say, it was perhaps the worst Marvel production so far. I felt nothing but sadness as I watched this travesty of art. Beyond that, the special effects were as always quite good, that is about all these movies have now a days. Sign of the times, I guess. If you're looking for a film that gives a good accounting of some of Marvels oldest characters, you probably won't find it here. Simply my opinion, I've had some time on this Earth and it is disturbing, these trends I'm seeing...

Not the best not the worst
26 August 2022
Very predictable story... Not really for families with young kids, lots of violence, foul language and gore. It shows the plight that some families go through in this dog eat dog society we are in... So sad, they can show it so easily, but we can't seem to fix it..Not a very satisfactory ending imo. Meanwhile, this isn't the worst film to show up this year...it outshone many of the other offerings available for viewing...Stallone's characters have always had a certain 'grit' to them and this one was no different. Didn't want to leave any spoilers, so this is all you get as far as a review from me this time.

Worth a watch
17 August 2022
And nothing else. I found myself chuckling a few times, because I've met a few Native Americans and it isn't all about stereo-types, but some of the mannerisms are still with them. I'm sorry but I couldn't enjoy this, laughing at the pain of children. It doesn't have to be this way.

Cheesy somewhat humorous
16 August 2022
Yes, a typical super-hero film for families...thank goodness. I've gotten so tired of the political propaganda that seems to find it's way into so many kids films. This one was thankfully free of all that. A diverse cast, a simple story Worth a watch if you have young ones.

Meh
16 August 2022
A really poor adaptation of another vampire flick. Abraham Van Helsing meets Blade this wasn't. The dialogue was cheesy. Definitely not a family film.

Nothing has changed
24 June 2022
It's hard for me o comprehend why people are getting paid to make stuff like this. I mean, I have a sense of humor. I'm not a stupid man. Yet this attempt at the hapless idiots escaping all the troubles stacked against them has gotten so boring. The humor in this "film" is of course crude and silly. A movie a person could only watch once. Terrible.

J.C.V.D. with more humor
7 June 2022
The title of the review about says it all.

A bit of narcissism with some compelling acting at times. Regardless, real people do suffer and those that have more seem to enjoy showing it and making money from it.

A nice episode for sci fi fans
16 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
While it was yet another Blade Runner spoof, it seems that the creators of this episode took some time. A nice mix between the film and the original story by P. K Dick.

Thieves stealing from thieves
27 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Great action and special effects....besides Tom Holland doing a few stunts and showing off his physique, this film was basically a story of thieves stealing from thieves. BTW, the gal at the beginning of the film never got her bracelet back. Sorry but I've grown tired o the entertainment industry glorifying theft and crime. By now everyone should be aware that the billionaires and so called winners have stolen literally everything they have, justifying by calling it freedom and hiding behind a flag. Cool story tho'.

It was like soft core porn

Wow, D. C. is really falling fast with this sapphic (not the poet) romp. Catwoman has long been a sex symbol for D. C. and now she isn't just satisfied with men.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...Batwoman is portrayed as a hard-nosed deep voiced buffoon.

I will say, the animation was nice. The story itself was just too boring for me to enjoy it.

Not all heroes are good guys...

What a depressing film, it was nothing like the comic strip from 1918 by Frank King. Another life is complicated movie from the entertainment industry.

Plus a bunch of propaganda for the masses to chew up. Look, I enjoyed Star Trek when it was about Star Trek....it isn't really about Star Trek anymore.

Fun on the surface
2 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
But... if you have a mind that has seen enough, you'll realize that this film is just a mash-up of a bunch of scenes and concepts from other films (as usual), including Minority Report (film and TV) and many others. There is of course the gender-bending with Will Smith's character turning into a "female" pigeon. Stay awake, these folks are crafty.

Not to mention the hacking into a mechanical arm...(Spiderman No Way Home used this 2 years later) as well as the drones programmed to attack and the bad guy using illusions (Spiderman Far From Home) Tom Holland was in all 3 of these. Disappointing that they just keep recycling old stuff and charging full price.

A decent film but...
19 February 2022
There were many discrepancies with REAL history and the entertainment industries "fudging". I'll give one example...there was no British or Scottish patch or insignia that showed a blue equal symbol. This false addition betrays and besmirches the sacrifices given by millions of men and women during those dark times. I am saddened by our generations continued efforts to destroy what made us strong.

Almost the worst movie ever
14 January 2022
More gender-bending weirdness from the entertainment industry. Terrible acting, action scenes and story made this film one of the worst movies I've ever viewed. Who can I sue to get my 1 hour and 28 minutes of life back?

A decent finale

...bearing in mind that I'm reviewing it many, many years after having seen it and then watching it again. The saying goes...All good things come to those who wait. Not come to an end.

Self promoting tripe
3 January 2022
I noticed the "creator" of the series had interviews scenes from 2 years ago, strange how time flies. Basically a bunch of scenes from the movies and the some of the cast and crew saying how grateful they are to be a part of it. Even though I am a casual fan of the series, I couldn't really stomach this terrible recap.

Best ep of Tzone ever
3 January 2022
This ep set the stage for every sci fi show that came after it, including Star Trek and many others. Not a surprise that James Doohan (Montgomery Scott from ST) was in it briefly. One of the originals, too bad modern shows and movies never give credit to the real winners.

A foray into the world of insanity
3 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Another warning from the twilight zone...don't create yourself.

One thing of note was how the inventor stated he wanted to create a perfect replica of a human, with feelings and a nervous system that mimicked humans. However the "Allen" replica had no nerve sensations as shown when he lit a match under his hand.

Also, the "machine" murdered a human being at the beginning of the episode, that was never addressed and justice was never served...in the twilight zone.

Also the actress that played Jessica reminded me a lot of a young Anne Bancroft.

Don Quixote Rides Again
26 December 2021
If Seinfeld was the TV show about nothing, then this film is the movie about nothing. No real direction and very simple plot made this film a (insert over used cliché here).

At 6:17 to about 6:20 you can clearly see Bugs sliding down the Anderson Hotel sign and attached to that sign is another sign that reads, "For those who love to eat &%^$"

Another cool episode, but..
14 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The entire premise of this ep was based on Soga having the ability to access the net via a military satellite. Each of the characters talked about how they couldn't break his connection without shooting down the satellite or killing the Colonel...I had another solution...simply perform a surgery to remove the offending module that allows him access to that wireless access. Sometimes I wonder if these writers really understand the complexity of the technology they like to write about...and the utter simplicity of it.

Blast from the past

I grew up in the 70's and 80's so I never had those prejudices and latent anger from war. I hope I never do, though it seems lately, living every day is like war. Good luck everyone.

eh?
11 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The ep started dramatically showing a small tenement house with only a few occupants. A couple with their child leaves and the last 2 neighbors are talking. The older woman mentions that the city will turn the water on for hour a day and that they would announce when. This is important to the story because of the intense heat and usage of water. However, if everyone in the city could only use the water once a day, what do you think they would do? Obviously they would run the water for the full hour, filling containers and bathing etc. In my estimation they would actually use more water for 1 hour a day than they would for 24 hours as a city...because of the panic and fear they were feeling...lolz. The twist at the end was cute though.
