Infinite (2021)
Here's an idea: Leave these types of plots to Christopher Nolan
Other than good CGI and action sequences, this movies has absolutely nothing to offer. At least in a Nolan movie you get something from the story.
But in this one, you get a boring story that has nothing new to offer other than a concept that has been explored by other film makers as well.
Durante la tormenta (2018)
A rip-off!
This movie is actually a rip-off of the movie Frequency (2000). In my opinion, that one had a better story. This one is quite boring.
Tenet (2020)
Too Loud, extremely complicated!
The acting is perfect. Production is amazing. But the script is too complicated. You usually expect this coming from a Nolan movie. But this time I think he's taken it too far!
The White Tiger (2021)
The production's good. But what's the point when the story sucks?!
Is this really the idea of the writer as a good person? or how a person must improve his life? Through deceit and murder? I know the film is based on a book, so I think this review is mostly for the author. Your worldview makes me sick. The words of the characters make me sick. Especially the sex-crazed characters. If I were an Indian I would be deeply offended by this picture. It ruins the face of India. shows its men as either feeble-minded, crazy, murderous, harsh, dictator, corrupt, ... and any other bad attribute that can be applied to human beings.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
What the hell was this???
If you loved the first Wonder Woman movie, don't watch this one. It will disappoint you.
Emma. (2020)
Dreadful!!!
This movie is an insult to a masterpiece. Don't waste your time and watch the 2009 TV adaptation instead.
Emma is like a robot who cannot smile and is rude to everyone. Unlike the charming character Emma should have. I think the actress has not even read the novel.
Mr. Knightly should be in his 30s, but here it looks as if he's 17!!! Very wrong choice for actors and actresses. The make up has even made them look worse.
If I didn't know any better, I thought I was watching a movie by Tim Burton.
Seriously! I think it's the worst adaptation of any of Jane Austin's works (including the cheap Indian adaptations)!
The 100 (2014)
I wanted to rate it 0!
This show only proves one thing: If you want people to watch your show, put a bunch of hot teenagers in it.
This show should have been canceled after the first episode! How it went on is a mystery.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Good acting, Great Production, Dull story!
Other than the story, everything about this movie is great. Great production design, hair styling and make up, great direction and film editing, Wonderful performance, but a very dull story that makes you turn the movie off in the middle, or even at the very beginning.
Shahrzad (2015)
A very well-produced, sweet love story!
After Gharib's Story (2007), I consider this show as the best Iranian TV Show. Of course it has its weaknesses but the story is so well developed that the weaknesses can be ignored. The acting of all the main characters is great and most of all Shahab Hosseini and Taraneh Alidusti have portrayed their characters to perfection. Set decoration is good and custom design is great. But the dialogues are the ones that are noticeable. Dialogues are very close to the real dialect of people of that time and the actors speak them as if they are from that time and place. May be the reason I don't consider it as the best TV Show is because some actors/actresses are not really good and in some places the dialogues seem so cliché. But other than that, it's really great.
Noah (2014)
Disappointing for such talented cast and crew
I looked forward to watching Noah! It's rare you see a director like Darren Aronofsky work on a project that can attract every culture and every religion. But the storyline was flawed, the visual effects was cheap and the acting and directing were only OK. That's disappointing considering the cast and crew who worked on this film. I'm not criticizing on behalf of a Muslim, who believes in a different kind of story about Noah -peace be upon him-, No! I'm criticizing on behalf of someone who loves films and the least she expected was good visual effects, directing and acting.
If I wanted to see the story I have heard about Noah, from when I was a child, it would be like this : Noah lived for 900 years. He had 5 Boys. Shem was the eldest (who became a prophet after his father and the line of prophets came from him until it reached Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Joseph, and ... ). The first 300 years of his life he guided people to believe in God. Sometimes the people beat him so hard (and he wouldn't fight back) that he had to crawl away from them. The second 300 years he started planting trees and making the Arc and gathering the animals and his followers (One of his sons was among the non-believers). the third 300 years came the rain and water that cleansed the earth from non-believers (Noah's son included). There was no fallen angel! There was no fight to capture the Ark by people, Because they believed Noah to be wrong (they often made fun of him for making a big Ark in the middle of dry land, believing their doom was never to come). And most important of all, there were people, other than Noah's family on the Ark.
House of Cards (2013)
A good remake of the British House of cards
I remember watching British House of cards, To play the king and the final cut. I truly loved that show. I remember thinking back then that there was no one better than Ian Richardson for this part and that this show would never be repeated. Well. I love what David Fincher has done with the story of House of cards. I love Kevin Spacy in this role. If he wasn't an actor he could look great as a politician. Robin Write is great too. Actually I believe everyone in this show have shown their true potential and that's all because of David Fincher's great directing skills. No offense to David Fincher though.... I still love the British version much better.
Sherlock (2010)
Brilliant like Shelock Holmes himself!
When I fist heard about this TV show I was rather upset. I thought it wouldn't be good at all... But I was proved wrong. Benedict Cumberbatch's Performance was great. Of course after Jeremy Berret I didn't expect anybody to be good for this part. But he did a wonderful job. The story line looks perfect and the creative use of modern technologies in solving crimes is mind blowing. The only thing that bothered me at first was that it wasn't like all other Sherlock Holmes movies, and it was taking place in modern time. But after a few minutes into the show when you first met Sherlock you get used to it and you love it.
Molke Soleiman (2010)
Great Visual Effects, Poor Script
In The Name Of God
when first I went to the theater to watch this movie I expected A well Written script with poor production. However I was proved wrong. Of course the Director has done a great job making this movie since all Iranian movies has turned into poor romance comedies which are not by the way funny at all.
But this was a great experience for me. I hope the director makes the sequels better than this one. The music too wasn't good... at least it wasn't what I expected.
It's a good movie. It sure is better than movies like Percy Jackson... But not as good as a first rate movie like The Lord Of The Rings.
