Blonde (2022)

Once again this generation has made a miserable movie

Im so tired of peoples lives being portrayed as a one sided misery fest. Every film is devoid of hope. And that is literally no one's life. Can you not make the totality of Maryline Monroe's life a victime of misogyny. No one's life is that one sided. It's way more layered and complicated. And it has joy and wonderful new experiences. She is not just a side player in all these mens lives but a force with a complicated history. So although very pretty to watch it was devoid of her voice. It belittled her as an actress. And did this actress just come to work to cry? And not wear a shirt? Make more rounded stories. You're being lazy and irresponsible in your storytelling.

This show started as one thing and slowly evolved into so many things! It is art. It is the mundane turned on it's head. It's our pedestrian lives shone under the light of its creativity. This show deserves applause. We are we.

Avenue 5 (2020–2022)

Tv doesn't owe you anything. It's entertainment. This is fun,it's Hughe Laurie and actually a very interesting cast. I'm one episode in but it reminds me of a new take on Red Dwarf. I say give it a try just for enjoyments sake.

The Haunting of Hill House (2018)

Ok going half half on this

This was so boring it induced so many awesome naps. It was not scary creepy or otherwise. I can categorize this as horror light. I do not understand the frenzy except that it is propelled by social media. I would ten fold rather watch the Vincent Price version. The visuals were lovely but the monotony of the family drama took all of that away. I give this a hard pass unless you have never watched anything remotely scary.

The Innocents (2018)

I think people who watch a mainly American diet of television will not get this show. Yes it's very young adult but it has such a European pace and subtlety that most won't have the patience for it. I thought it was great and you do have to go beyond three episodes! After that you can't wait to see where it's going. I can even see where a second season would go. In the end if you like a slow burn mixed with a little touch of sci-Fi to give it flavour, give it a watch.
