The Last Deal (2023)
A realistic drug trade film
If you like shows, movies or documentaries that deal with the drug trade this is definitely for you. The film really makes you care about the central character as his world collapses due to the legalization of Marijuana. It reminded me a little bit of the movie 'The Gambler' because things just get worse and worse as the film progresses. It's intense. L. A is almost like a character in the film in the sense that quite a bit of the story was shot outside and this makes the movies vibrant, alive. I loved that! The beginning of the film has a bit of voice over that's quite insightful. It grounded the story and made it even more realistic. This was a great watch.
Fresh (2022)
Sit tight for the first 30 minutes, you won't be sorry!!!
The first 30 minutes are build up for the film. Sit tight. After that I promise you will see a movie unlike anything else you've seen before. I got some serious vibes from American Psycho, you'll see why when you watch the film, but other than that it is different from anything else I've seen in my life. It is very messed up and very dark but in a good way. The movie is quite grotesque without resorting to too much gore. As a matter of fact, there's not really a lot of gore. The two leads are amazing. I couldn't say enough about the writing, the acting, and the music in this film. You have to see it for yourself!
Goldfish (2017)
Hearfelt drama
A heartbreaking drama about the hardships of having to care for someone with a severe disability and a very difficult attitude. Totally sympathized with the main character.
Pussy Kills (2017)
Pussy Kills delivered what I wanted.
So, I rented this movie on Vimeo for 2 bucks hoping to see something in the vein of 'I spit on your grave' or 'American Mary'. It had more action violence than torture but that was fine; it went well with the movie. It delivered on the action. Delivered on the sexuality (the chick is running around in a Pussycat costume slaying thugs). Definitely worth a watch if you're a fan of the genre.
