Scare mongering for dim viewers.

You know when it opens with a quote from Elon Musk you're in for some eye roll pain. Predictable, ridiculous, I'm sure it will do well.

I don't care about the author. I'm sure for a limited audience this author's life, process and death are fascinating, they are not so much to the rest of us. It's okay if you fast forward to the story of the case and those involved in the actual detective work.

Painful.

Every single character in this show is insufferable and if they existed in the real world no one would associate with them. Why is netflix hocking this throwback, laugh-track, insipid garbage?

A couple laughs, but no.

It seems to me this group of people are really into trying to entertain each other, so much so that they've completely lost touch with the audience. Is Sagat drunk?

Terrific Pilot!

I think the era of binge tv has ruined this sort of thing for some people. You've gotta give it some room to breathe, I don't know why everyone wants everything all at once. And those complaining about the racial elements, are exactly why this aspect of the show is entirely necessary. Solid start, compelling story and above average acting, I cannot wait to see more!

Katy!

I could literally watch her read a Denny's menu, so happy to see her on the tube again. Its a fun space show, its not trying to be anything else, and I am fully enjoying the escape.

I tried.

I tried to turn my brain off and enjoy, but this is just bad. I'm starting to think half of Hollywood is laundering money or something, how does this schlock get produced, year after year?

Nope

The whole charmingly befuddled schlock, combined with the forced fish-out-of-water formula just grates. I couldn't make it through the first episode.

Warning: Spoilers
I like it, but I don't like that I know exactly what's going to happen. It's obvious the woman who was 'saved' during the pilot is the mole. Audiences are too savvy, they need to step up their game.

Yes, the formula is old, but that's becasue it works. There's a drier humor here that works, I'm looking forward to the second episode.

Not the worst.

It's watchable. Pilots are always iffy, but I was entertained and hopefully it will get better. Don't listen to the rabid nationalist contingent who come here just to crap on diversity, it's worth a watch.

So many bought reviews.

It's okay, I hope it gets better because I'm one of the few not totally bored with vampire baddies just yet. It probably won't make it to second season, but I'd rather watch an okay vampire show than another insipid, well produced 'sit-com'.

When in Rome

One of the funniest shows in production. I think many Americans don't get the British sense of humor, it's subtle and dry, and this show is just brilliant.

Good cheese
31 October 2018
Okay, it's cheesy, and kids don't really talk like that, but it knows this and that makes it fun. It's not laugh out loud, but it's warming, like a bowl of cheesy soup. Me like.

Oy

10 minutes into the first episode and it is achingly clear that some execs watched 'this is us' and decided they wanted something similar. Except, this is a cloying and sappy knock-off that tries every trick in the book to bring the feels. No thanks.

This!

This is the antidote to the poison that is the wave of 'reality' tv that celebrates mediocrity. It's clear this person has labored and earned the right to share her talents with the world, mind-blowing stuff. The whole production is fantastic, I wouldn't change a single thing - I hope she comes back with a new season next year.

Yikes

I don't understand how these writers live in Los Angeles but seem like they come from another planet. To whom exactly was this show meant to appeal? Wrote characters, flat retread jokes, boring premise, below average acting. Other than that it's great. "I'm still doable, right?" No. Just no. Stop.

I was impelled to write a review in an attempt to drown out the homophobe and the rabid nationalist at the bottom of the reviews; pay no heed, this show is a wonderful celebration of talent, hard work and artistry from all kinds of skilled but novice bakers. I am enjoying the new hosts and mentors, although I do miss Mary.
