Fameless (2015)
Very Bland
I started to watch this show in December 2017, and I actually liked it. I assumed that it would be almost as good as Impractical Jokers. That was until I realized that this show was basically the same thing. Some other shows on TruTv followed the same formula, but for at least a season or two of the show are above average. This show only about an episode or two were above average. This isn't a terrible show, but other shows on TruTv destroy ones like this. I liked David Spade in Tommy Boy, but just because he made the show doesn't mean it's going to be decent. Some parts of the show are actually pretty funny, like the reactions of the victim, I love seeing reactions. That being said, it's still the same repetitive thing. Some may say that this show is fake, I don't necessarily agree with that, but I wouldn't be surprised if that were actually true.
Overall rating: 5/10 (D-)
Silver Surfer (1990)
Good game, but serious flaws.
I find this game overrated when it comes to hate and difficulty.
It is often considered one of the worst NES games, and people often tend to put it on their list.
While I obviously agree that this game has it's flaws, I think it has enough good qualities to escape from being considered bad.
Now here's what you may ask... Why is my rating so awfully generous?
Good question; as I mentioned before I find the difficulty very overrated. I can think of a lot of NES games I've yet to beat, this game is not one of them. After I beat it I felt very rewarded accomplishing something I though was impossible.
So overall this game is way more playable than people say it is.
Back to the Future (1985)
This is my favorite movie...
This movie is just too perfectly executed, and will always remain to be my favorite. There's too many good things to say about it. You just need to watch it, at least once in your life. All scenes of the movie are great, especially that Earth Angel scene. If you watched a lot of 80's movies, and this isn't one of them, whatever you do watch this, you will not be disappointed.
The Angry Video Game Nerd: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2006)
This episode is fantastic, and this is coming from a guy who's in the minority of liking the game.
If you took the time to look at my review on the game, you can tell that I liked it, despite its minor flaws. But the AVGN episode was also pretty good. The special effects were great, something that James Rolfe should be proud of. Interesting fact, James used plastic wrap to protect the cartridge from the chocolate and peanut butter, and I could barely even see it, and this is 2006 I'm talking about, it's just perfect.
Billy Madison (1995)
Even though Adam Sandler can be a weirdo, there do exist good Adam Sandler films, and this is one of them.
Nowadays Adam Sandler makes awful films like Pixels, Big Daddy, Jack and Jill, and more. But this is one of thee fewest ones that are actually great. Now I will agree, Sandler acts like a complete idiot. I'm not sure if he does it in real life, but certainly in his movies. But take out the scenes where he messes up with the elderly with one of those bags, it's pretty damn good. Is it the best movie around? I did consider that when I was younger, but no. While I don't really watch too much Sandler, he at least had some potential when I was younger. People say Sandler is the worst actor, while I do admit he's pretty dumb, I can't consider him the worst.
E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
Horrendous, but gets more hate than it deserves.
I will admit, this game is awful. But it's often regarded to be the worst game of all time. Really? It might not even make it to my top 10, hell, chances are it wouldn't make it to my top 50.
Now why did I give this such a high rating? Well I'll tell you, this game is so awful, it's actually in a humorous matter. I actually played this game the most out of the Atari 2600 games, due to its addictive game-play.
I've actually heard from some cites that this game has broken controls...no it doesn't, they aren't special or anything, but compared to the ones in Superman 64 or Dark Castle, this game is like Contra (well, in terms of control).
Now, while I would never consider it the best Atari 2600 game, I don't consider it the worst either. Why am I in the minority that thinks this way? Any gamer with good taste would think the title to worst Atari game goes to Custer's Revenge (or any other porn game). The graphics in this game probably gets the title for worst graphics on the Atari 2600, but graphics don't always make the game, and even though they're bad, they at least don't pierce my eyes. I also feel like the crash is over- exaggerated, and happily, I'm not the only one, people treat this game like it was the only factor that caused it.
I will agree that this is probably the most notorious game, but that's about it.
So, now that I've been defending it so much, why didn't it get a higher rating? We'll...those inspectors are assholes, I hate those biologists, the colors are in different shades of green (besides Elliot, inspectors, and biologists), and don't even get me started on those god damn pits.
Overall, this game would've been much better if Howard Scott Warshaw was given more than 5 weeks to program it, but I've played much worse games (like Action 52, Superman 64, do I have to do this all day?). By all means will I agree to despise it, but I will never consider this the worst game.
Akumajô densetsu (1989)
Awesome
I previously reviewed Battletoads, and I really love it. But combine that with the first Castlevania, and you get this masterpiece.
This is the second best NES sequel/prequel, right behind Super Mario Bros. 3.
This is also the second best Konami game on NES, right behind Contra.
Music: The music is outstanding, and from what I understand the Famicom version is even better. So I'd really love to see how that plays out, too bad I don't own one. It's spooky, upbeat, and appropriate. 10/10
Graphics: Either this or Battletoads gets the title for best graphics on NES. 10/10
Sound Effects: The sound effects are just perfect, and pleasant to listen to. 10/10
Difficulty: I love the challenge I get from this game. 10/10
Concept: The concept is original, and executed perfectly. 10/10
Overall Game: This is my 6th favorite NES game of all time...right behind Contra, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, Super Mario Bros. 3.
Plumbers Don't Wear Ties (1994)
E.T. and Superman 64 are known to be the worst games ever...
...Well, may be shocking but, this game is FAR worse then both of them combined. It doesn't even qualify on a game, and is on such a disgraceful console that tries to be good. It is very pornographic, and just a bunch of still images.
Destroy this game at all costs!!
Mighty Med (2013)
Meh
I have watched this show after knowing that Bradley Steven Perry will be on it, and I was very exited. He starred in Good Luck Charlie, a very humorous show from start to finish. This show however, is average at best.
Let's review why I rated it 5/10.
1. It only has 2 seasons. For a Disney show, that's pathetic. I know Gravity Falls follows the same formula, but it at least had the proper lifespan of an actual Disney show, plus it was animated so to be fair it's no surprise it only has two seasons. Minus 1 point.
2. As I previously mentioned I love Good Luck Charlie. Bradley Steven Perry starred in it, so I don't see what's wrong with him starring in this? Almost everything, his character acts like a moron and tries to be funny. I may have laughed at it when I was fourteen. But guess what, I was fourteen, as I aged my sense of humor changes and has matured. Just to add insult to injury, Good Luck Charlies is off Netflix (at east for me), but no this show is still on here, should I watch that? Or a show that's actually good? Minus 3 1/2 points.
3. For the most part, it tries to be funny, but it isn't. Again when I was younger I found this very humorous, but now I think about it, it's just a mediocre show with mediocre sketches. Some episodes it can be decent, and have really good effects added to the mixture. But some lines can get extremely dry quick (i.e. I love bridges). Minus 1/2 a point.
Overall, I would watch an episode occasionally. But I spent to much time watching this, when I could just be watching a show that's actually good.
Punch-Out!! (2009)
My favorite game of all time.
The Arcade was nostalgic, and then it made it's reach to the home- consoles. They were all awesome...
NES Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!- I mark this the second best NES game (right behind Super Mario Bros. 3). The only bad quality is the fact that you press down to block, as opposed to up. To duck (which doesn't make much of a difference by just dodging) you have to press down twice, quickly.
SNES Super Punch-Out!!- Even better than the NES. Sure not as nostalgic, but there is a save feature, which makes the replay value very high. It can be debatable, but this is my favorite SNES game.
Wii Punch-Out!!- This is on its own level of good. The save feature always works, and I love looking at my records. The replay value is extremely high, because they add in challenge.
Battletoads (1991)
One of my favorites.
This definitely makes it to my top 20 favorite NES games. It also makes it to my top 20 hardest NES games.
This game wins the trophy for best graphics, I can't think of an NES game with better graphics (maybe Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse).
The music is also up there, it is upbeat, and fits the level very well.
The controls are modernly good; but be cautious of your timing, you can lead to your death.
Sound affects are very synchronized and satisfies me when I beat enemies.
The only 3 bad qualities that this game has (which isn't saying much) are...
1. You only get a few continues. 2. Levels can be difficult for the wrong reasons. (i.e. Rat Race) 3. It is virtually unplayable with 2-players, as you can harm the other player.
Despite these flaws, I'm happy with my rating.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1989)
For an LJN game, it's pretty decent.
Out of all of the LJN games I've played, this one is the best so far. It kind of reminds me about Ninja Gaiden, re-spawning enemies and very hard. Of course I don't think it's as good as Ninja Gaiden because that game has a better story line.
The music is pretty good. I could listen to it all day if I could, not the best NES soundtrack but definitely in my top 100's.
The graphics could've been better, but they're still good enough. Again like I mentioned enemies will re-spawn.
The controls are okay, but can easily lead to deaths. It can feel very slippery trying to jump. The real flaw with this game is the fact that you don't know how much hit-points you have left. Making a game over quicker. Not to mention you only get 3 continues, and that's pretty little for a game this long.
The game-play, unlike most LJN games, actually isn't monotonous. Okay, technically it is monotonous, but in comparison to ones like Friday the 13th (which you have to beat 3 times) then wouldn't you prefer this?
