The Stand (2020–2021)
8/10
It's good, but not really great.
18 December 2020
Overly dramatic, just like most new series being created. If you want to watch this type of series, I'd recommend the original first. That would give you a better idea of what it was supposed to be.

....but then again, did you expect an award winner here? Your better off staring at the sun rather than watching this. Your eyes will thank you.

Joker (I) (2019)

All Hype
23 January 2020
This movie was NOT very good as far as a DC villain back story goes. If Heath Ledger was round, I bet dollars to donuts that this film is never made.

This movie looks like an attempt, to once again, re-imagine a character that doesnt need reimagining. There are 3 jokers in the works, Caesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, and Heath Ledger. Ledger perfected the roll....lets just let it go guys.

The movie itself was disturbing as far as mental illness goes, but it was much more disturbing as far as DC Villain backstories goes. I dont not accept this backstory, it was poorly conceived but well done.

By the way....the joker wears purple guys, you arent changing that, sorry.

This is why I didnt get in to film making
18 April 2019
This was probably a good idea to someone....someone with no movie making talent at all. you can see every movie they ripped off in the trailer. Im guessing they hired their cousins to act and maybe little brother for the special effects?

If you want a deterrent for staying out of film making, watch this. Otherwise, your time is better spent cleaning your dogs ears.

Not as bad as they say
11 March 2019
Its simply not as bad as everyone wants you to believe. Im guessing most of the bad ratings here were left by people that read teh bad ratings instead of seeing the movies. People enjoy jumping on the band wagon. Its not hilarious, but it is funny. Its not Reilly and Farrells BEST work by any means, but if your a fan of the duo, watch it. You'll have a decent enough time.

THIS was the script that Harrison Ford was waiting on?
27 February 2019
Harrison Ford wanted to do a new Indiana Jones movie, but wanted to make sure the script was right. Well, if this right, I'd hate to see the wrong ones.

Two things killed this movie for me. Shia LaBeouf, and the idea that they were gonna turn the franchise over to him....God help us! Luckily, Shia went a little crazy and said some bad things, so he never became the new Indiana Jones type character, but unfortunately, this movie seemed to put all of its eggs in that particular basket. I think the premise was ok, but things like the crazy old man, and Indiana's "friend" who we couldn't figure out what side he was on, ruined it. I get it, it's supposed to keep us guessing, the old Hollywood plot twist gone crazy, but it was al just to much of a mess. Seeing Harrison Ford reprise his role was amazing. He hasn't missed a beat and still slides into the character with ease. Fighting the Russians was probably a good way to go since Nazi's are no longer available in the 50's, but theres something about Indiana Jones fighting Nazi's thats really just satisfying. I miss it.

This movie had such a big build up, that it was bound to disappoint some people, but I don't think anyone had any idea of the let down that was in store for them. Let's hope that the next one, without Shia LaBeouf, properly resurrects this franchise.

I didn't hate it as much as I thought
27 February 2019
Out of all the recent new Star Wars movies (Rogue One, Episodes 7 and 8), I liked this one the best. Perhaps its the characters, or maybe its the plot. I dunno. I really wish they would have found a Solo and Lando that looked a little more like the real guys, but hey, what can you expect, they weren't really trying with this movie.

These movies (Solo, Rogue One) are the movies that they SHOULD have been making right after Return of the Jedi. Get the original cast back to reprise their roles and have some fun. These movies would have been INFINITELY better with better actors, original cast, and better directors. I think Ron Howard did the best he could pulling this out of the fire...but Im sure he had very little say in the over all production. This franchise is tightly controlled buy a very few people (Kathleen Kennedy, Im looking at you), that need to pass it along to a new generation. The Indiana Jones Franchise, and the Star Wars franchise have both taken big hits with these rushed movies, poor plots, and little imagination.

If Solo could have been given to Ron Howard immediately, and he was given some input, I think it would have been amazing. I know he's a huge Star Wars fan and a fantastic director...imagine what could have been.

Oh Lord help us...
27 February 2019
Again, I was so excited when the these sequels were announced....WAS.

The only redeeming quality in this particular movie, was Harrison Ford coming back. Nothing else. As much as I disliked the prequels, these new sequels make the prequels almost watchable. These new movies, especially this one, misses the spirit of Lucas's original vision. Its noticably more violent for some reason, and that was a turn off. Star Wars doesnt have to be violent...Sure, the original movies had some dead guys, but nothing like how this movie started, with execution. Its overall distasteful and has no place in the Star Wars universe. its supposed to be a fun place to visit....what I saw here, wasn't fun at all. The forced comedy, the overall rehashed plot, a Ginger bad guy who cant seem to use his inside voice, a chrome stormtrooper that literally serves NO good purpose.

Im spent...signing off....

Another Hollywood effort to force strong lead female characters in our face
27 February 2019
Its all I could think about. Another movie with all strong female leads to push their agenda. I Couldn't concentrate on anything else in this movie. Hollywood, we're getting real tired of your BS.Just because a female, black, or gay character CAN play a role, doesn't necessarily mean they have to.

BEST...MOVIE...EVER!
14 October 2018
Im not going to bore anyone by going over the story or plot because I think we all know what this movie is about.

I just wanted to get my rating in. 8.6 (currently) is just to low. This movie is a one of kind masterpiece. Thanks George!

6-Headed Shark Attack (2018 TV Movie)

Can the 7-Headed Shark be far behind?
14 October 2018
What a piece of garbage. I went in knowing it was going to be utter trash and wasnt disappointed. I just need to know who green lights trash like this? Who could go in and pitch a movie about a 6-headed shark, and have some one say "YES! Go with it! Sounds like a winner!"

Ironically the only real positive review is from someone involved with the movie, otherwise this thing would be sitting at 1 star rating.

To sum it up, this movie isn't worth the electricity bill of keeping your TV on for the 86 minutes it takes to sit through this vile mess.

I didn't expect much...I didn't get much
26 September 2017
Just nothing here. It was boring. Maybe the kid actor is trying to hard, or maybe he just doesn't have funny material to read, but I found this to be a complete bore. Chucke Lorre is known to keep a series going out of pure stubbornness (Two and a Half Men anyone?), so I think there is probably 2-3 years here because WB does want to step on Chucks fragile toes. If this was anyone one else creation, this series would be ONE and DONE.

2 positive reviews...2 cast members heard from?
26 September 2017
You have to suspect that the two glowing reviews here were possibly made by people that had something to do with the making of this steaming pile of....digital film.

There are plenty of other BETTER boy/dinosaur movies out there. Do yourself a favor and choose one of those.
