Amazing!!!
24 September 2006
Awesome movie, my favorite!!! You have to see it!!! I like it because it 's so funny you have to see it (as I've said before). I mean If your a blonde it will be extra pleasing because of the humor and the amazing thing she says and does is amazing. I mean I could tell you the whole movie off the bat but I don't want to spoil it because after my review you should be convinced. Also my favorite actress (the best in th world) is in it, Reese Witherspoon. I adore her if I met her I would be so dumbfounded and just maybe seeing her real signature would make me have to die or something like that. I may be young but people say I have a good sense in movies. Even my little and older like the movie Leagally Blonde(remember you have to watch it).

Beautiful and touching.

This is one of the most amazing shorts I've seen. The story of love between a girl and her father is so amazing. As the father leaves his daughter, she still comes back to the last place she saw him as she grows older. The story is touching, and the music is amazing. Not to mention the animation, which was so beautiful. I thought this film was certainly deserving of its Academy Award, despite "Rejected" being one of my favorites also. But this film is so touching, so beautiful, I could watch it again and again and not get tired of it. The ending was so touching- but I won't spoil it. Watch this film and you will never forget it.

Rejected (2000)

Ridiculous and funny!
22 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Rejected isn't your average animated short. It can't be compared to Pixar, or even other hand drawn shorts- it has its own tone. I first heard of this short from a friend- who went around saying "My spoon is too big". I didn't really think to watch it until I found it was nominated for an Academy Award. When I did watch it, it was so funny, I couldn't stop laughing! Most of the humor was random, for example, the two guys talking. Their responses had nothing to do with each other! "Tuesday is coming. Did you bring your coat?" "I live in a giant bucket." There was a lot of violent humor, however. My least favorite part was the anus is bleeding part. However, you don't have to look at it as a comedic scene (although the other puffballs' non-awareness was quite comedic), but you could look at it as an early sign of the cartoons' breakdown. The climax of the film- the cartoon apocalypse- was amazing animation. I thought it was probably the coolest part of the film. I definitely think that this film is one of the more memorable short films I've seen, and I certainly recommend watching it. Whether you want random humor, great animation, or something to think about, you have it in this film. Amazingly good and funny!!!

Spirited Away (2001)

Absolutely Beautiful.
29 March 2006
This movie is amazing. Miyazaki is one of the most talented animation directors and one of the best directors in general of all time. This movie may not make sense to a lot of people, but is beautiful to me. This movie is not just about some girl who is transported to a magical land. No! This movie is about a girl facing her fears to help the ones she loves, and helping even the ones she doesn't. Romance, adventure, suspense, and comedy are perfectly fused together in an intoxicating mix. There were even scenes when I was on the verge of tears, and I usually do not cry during movies. In fact, this was the first one I ever even felt sad about! While the movie was a bit confusing at times, it was great. The voice acting in English was perfectly executed, and even though I've never seen it in Japanese, I'm sure it's just as good or better. If you ever come across this movie at Blockbuster or any movie store, please, please, rent it. It is absolutely beautiful. This has to be one of the best movies ever made.

So weird...it's funny. Actually it's hilarious.

This movie gets mixed opinions from people. Some people think that this movie is weird. I think it's so funny! There is a joke for everything, and Napolean's nerdiness makes everything even funnier.

-GOSH- The movie has a strong storyline with multiple plots happening at the same time. There is relief from laughing at sad parts. Yet these parts are replenished by another joke.

The story is about a high schooler going through the trials of the magical dungeon of high school. Napolean's overactive imagination and strange family makes him the perfect person to talk about in the movie. Not to mention the plot lines that revolve around Pedro Sanchez and Deb.

The movie is extremely funny and perfect for the whole family.

The Birds (1963)

You might want to put the sheet over your bird's cage...
3 November 2005
This movie is a classic Hitchcock thriller. You know what is going to happen, but the movie leads you on a trail of suspense until you don't know when or where the birds will strike. And its not just the birds that cause trouble. The emotional roller-coaster that is experienced during the movie makes you happy that you aren't the one in Bodega Bay.

I loved this movie not just because I am a Hitchcock fan (obviously) but because of its action and misleading and confusing suspense...

and the mysterious storyline...

The movie is awesome and good for most ages. But like I said... You might want to put the sheet over your bird's cage...

Jaws (1975)

Totally awesome!
3 November 2005
The movie starts out on Amity Beach where a group of kids is having a pow-wow. One girl goes swimming...and its all downhill from there. The movie is awesome, and it can be scary. There is quite a bit of blood and gore, but that just adds to the fearlessness of this movie. It can make you laugh, cry, cringe, and fear to enter the water, all in just two hours of sitting in front of your television. The movie presses on and just keeps filling your cup with suspense.

Now on to ethical stuff. Even though its rating is PG, it probably isn't appropriate for kids under oh...ten. But most of the movie is appropriate and the only bad thing is the blood.

All in all, this movie has something for everyone, and you should get in your car, go to a movie store, and rent it!
