You'll Never Find Me (2023)
Zzzzzz😴
If you enjoy watching paint dry or suffer from insomnia crack on,otherwise give it a very wide berth. The entire film looks like it was shot during a power cut, the whole scenario is ridiculous, It goes like this, a woman knocks on a stranger's cabin during a storm at 2 o'clock in the morning(like you would do that) and is let in by the owner. Then for what seems like an eternity the film plays out just as you expect it to, but very very slowly. I was praying for it to end, as I guess the actors were too. I can't honestly understand the high marks for this "film". Absolutely garbage, so bad I signed up to IMDb just to vent my frustration with this movie.....now where's my paint brush.
Belonging The Truth Behind the Headlines (2017)
An independent documentary that explores the extent to which successive governments and companies collude to break unions and what it means to fight back.
A documentary film showing how government and companies have colluded for their own gain at the expense of the workers they employ, with little or no regards for their actions. There is documented evidence showing meetings between Margaret Thatcher and Rupert Murdoch and how she oversaw Murdochs takeover plans which should have been sent to the monopolies commission. Fascinating stuff and pretty scary the lengths big companies will go to and how the government will help them. I really enjoyed leaning about the three disputes and there were some heart wrenching moments from the people affected, but also some light hearted moments too. The film shows that despite all that was thrown at them, Unions stood together and fought for their rights. A film to absorb and ponder, could your employer do this to you? Some shameful actions by large corporations, whose activities and collusion with government need to be shown and questioned. Well done for making a film that tells it how it is.
