Avengement (2019)
Scott Adkins+Jesse V Johnson= Greatest partnership in cinematic history!!
It seems it will forever remain a mystery to us : Why is Scott Adkins the biggest star of Hollywood?? Cain Burgess, although he is a little too cold blooded at times, still makes the audience sympathize in him. He makes Boyka look an angel by comparison!! The story is quite engaging and the fight scenes are brutal and bloody, though the style remains very grounded. Recommended strongly for Fan of Scott Adkins in particular.
Accident Man (2018)
Adkins is the real deal......
This movie proves that Scott Adkins is the real deal when it comes to fight scenes. Besides having some bone crunching fight scenes, Scott Adkins also delivers on the drama front with effortless charisma. The supporting cast seems to be having a blast as well, with Michael Jai White and Amy Jonston being the standouts. Watch out for an interesting Boyka rematch as well!!!
The Debt Collector (2018)
Humour+Action+Scott Adkins= It works!!!
A slight departure from the usual formula by the duo of Scott Adkins and Jesse Johnson. The action scenes like not be as spectacular as those in the Boyka movies. They are more grounded and realistic. It was also refreshing to see Louis Mandylor in a substantial role.
Be prepared for the ending though. Nice to see something brave tried out.
A Certain Justice (2014)
Okay fight scenes, terrible wig design for Dolph
Check this movie out only if you are a fan of the martial arts genre. Although Cung le is an excellent martial artist, the choppy direction makes watching the fight scenes rather irritating(Watch out for Dragon Eyes to get a better glimpse of his abilities). And who designed the wigs for Dolph?? He looked horrible, although he gives a fun performance as the villain.
Blood of Redemption (2013)
Enjoyable only if you are a Fan of this genre
Although the plot is recycled from numerous better movies of this genre, It is great to see some b movie and has been actors having some fun. The script is fairly well executed and the fast pacing and the occasional twists(as expected in this genre) make this a fairly entertaining experience if watched in the right mood.
Abduction (2019)
Good action,Decent Story,Change of pace for Scott Adkins
Firstly, it was enjoyable seeing Scott Adkins in a somewhat coherent sci-fi movie. Good seeing him trying to branch out in a different genre. The action scenes by him and Andy On were also well choreographed.
