The Closer: Old Money (2010)
Season 6, Episode 11

One of Flynn's (Tony Denison) best!
20 January 2022
My husband and I LOVE this show so much. We own it on DVD, digital and still watch it when it comes on TV. I can probably quote from every single episode. And this episode is truly one of Tony Denison's best because we get to see his physicality in motion. I mean the man did his own stunt work in this whole scene. (So he said in an interview about the episode at the time). I mean it's usually his and Provenza's(GW Bailey) antics that cause a ruckus, and it's usually their fault. But this time he was in the right and Denison played the part masterfully.

So if you aren't a fan of this show, please run now and watch from the start. I just wish that it had stayed around longer than 7 seasons. Major Crimes was ok, but NOTHING like The Closer.... NOT EVEN CLOSE!

GREAT, INFURIATING, AND WORTH THE TIME!
25 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was VERY WELL ACTED BY EVERYONE! I mean the entire story is just sickening and heartbreaking that these things even happen. And I am not a "fanatic" or weirdo so let me just state that fact first before I state the following. But these things happen because Satan enters people and they do these evil things to people. It sound verbally simple I know but it is the BIBLICAL TRUTH and this will continue until the coming of Christ. I'm NOT preaching on a soap box about.."the devil made me do it". That makes it sound like you're letting someone off the hook. NO WAY! Those folks did the crime and if you sin, YOU HAVE HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

And in this case there were a WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE that failed these young girls. I mean come on, neighbors that hear a child screaming in pain and just turn around and say...not our business, or best not to get involved. I mean they carry some blame too. So MAYBE things have improved to nowadays where people are more apt to speak up. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. But the fact that those kids did all of that stuff to them and didn't tell. I mean ESPECIALLY girls. When I was growing up you couldn't pay and girl to keep a secret, so if there were girls from the neighborhood standing around watching this happen to this poor girl, (even if they participated in some way) and then not go home at night and tell SOMEONE, is just beyond me. I mean what kind of animals were these people raised by? This movie will infuriate you and almost make YOU want to jump up and get violent on the idiots that are doing this. The bullying that starts with girls that are just trying to be nice to other girls and help them, and it turns into catastrophic events like this is just too common of an occurrence. The movie is worth the time and emotional battering it will give you.

Updated Western! Outstanding!!
4 July 2018
I was shocked at how good this turned out to be. I mean we figured this was going to be a pretty good "era" movie , old western as it were that Christian Bale does so well, but this truly turned out to be one of the best that he has done in awhile . And Rosamund Pike (from Gone Girl) was OUTSTANDING in this. Her partrayal of a wife and mother whose entire family is slaughtered by a band of rogue Cheyenne Indians is chilling. Her performance throughout is just impressive. It is a moderately paced western that keeps the story steady and the characters in check so you aren't lost which is a VERY welcome trait in my book because so many lately are doing the opposite. Trying to add too many characters to the story and in the process you lose track of the story line. THIS DOES NOT DO THAT. Bale keeps things moving and you know where your story is headed at all times. Wes Studi as the Indian Chief is amazing. He has played this role in many other movies and he does it with mastery. Adam Beach is the same. He doesn't say much but doesn't have to, he is excellent in his roll as supporting.

The ending is a little surprising and yet sad and then finally good. All in all it is an enjoyable way to spend 2hrs of time.

Enjoyable Movie!
15 June 2018
I was VERY SURPRISED when I saw the the low reviews and EXTREMELY negative things that was said about this movie. It isn't a Oscar winning time by no means, but it DOES NOT deserve the bad things that have been written here. The cast is really great and it's a fun and an enjoyable hour and a half. Like I said, it's no "barn burner" as far as innovation of movie plots, but it's funny at times and cute to see these actors can be silly and have a fun time. So to the others that are so mean and negative about it, LIGHTEN UP! It's a movie!
