Captivating!

I mean, Idris Elba, am I right??? Idris Elba once again steals the show in every scene and he is a perfect fit for this role.

This is such an intense series!

I wish I could just binge the whole series right now. There are equal parts predictable and unexpected moments which adds to the thrill of which way is it going to go.

I know nothing about air traffic control, so I can't speak to whether or not the portrayed protocols or actions in that department make sense, but I definitely recommend this series to anyone bored of watching the same old boring series and looking for something to get the heart racing.

So far so good

As someone else mentioned, there are moments where you stop and go, "wait...why is no one living seeing this inanimate object moving before their eyes with noone moving it?".

But, it's a show about teen ghosts in a high school. I am just sitting back and enjoying the emotional rollercoaster ride.

This show is sweet, funny, cringe, sad and intriguing.

And the acting is actually way better than I anticipated. Big plus.

It is delivering exactly what it claims to on a high level. I'm hooked.

I just finished episode 3 and am already bummed that I won't be able to binge the whole season in a week.

The Menu (2022)

Maybe it's the restaurant worker in me

I absolutely loved this movie. I went in with knowing nothing about it. I heard it was about one thing, and was pleasantly surprised to find it was something completely different.

It's hard to discuss this movie without spoilers, but I will try as I loved it too much to ruin the surprise storyline.

My relationship was this: I work in fine dining. I was raised in a family of chefs and restaurant owners. This movie was a big middle finger to people who think their money gives them power over people's talent and dreams. That their wealth somehow makes them entitled to basically anything.

I haven't seen a truly great dark comedy in years.

I give The Menu a chef's kiss!

This is just what we needed

I can't believe how many negative reviews there are. This series has a great cast, it adds humor when you think it is going to be all serious and draws you in instantly The humor is there to remind you that this is a story, not reality. Just watch it and enjoy it. I mean, I guess it actually touches on how people think that, because they are religious, they are righteous.... Ohhhh....now I get the negative reviews.

So, if you aren't a righteous religious humorless person, you will probably love it.

I went into this knowing I loved the cast and storyline. It wasn't until I started watching that I was able to see the other meanings behind it. Parents who will go way beyond the realm of reality for their kids and in the most unhealthy way and how that way of living works out for everyone.

Hit home... Very well done!

Warning: Spoilers
As a working mom who also used to have to leave town for business, I can completely relate to this one. I was trying to figure out what exactly was causing the bite marks and was stumped. The ending was so profound to me. The players really did a wonderful job with their characters. They all seemed so incredibly natural and believable. The in-depth detail of her days at work and at home with her family was spot on.

When the counselor told her that her guilt was literally eating her alive, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't figure that one out on my own, especially since I was watching late at night while my family is asleep because of how late I get home from work every night. 🤦‍♀️

So much fun!

I was expecting this movie to be lame. Maybe feeling that way going in made it more enjoyable, but regardless, I absolutely loved it. It was just the right amount of corniness, Disney-ness, action and fun I needed to truly love this movie. It's very difficult to find something negative about a movie that went above my expectations.

Fun and twisted

The irony of the poor reviewers on here was not lost on me.

Kind of makes me wonder if they actually watched the episode or just had it on in the background while playing on their PS5.

Haunted: Sins of My Father (2021)

What everyone else said!

Warning: Spoilers
I live near Yale. Have lived here the majority of my 47 years of life. I have NEVER heard of anyone being possessed in the area and having a snake come out of their mouth/body and being exorcised at a local church through baptism.

The entire episode I kept saying, the men in this family have an untreated psychological disorder. Bipolar disorder commonly sets in early 20's, you know, college age? And the pressures of college can most certainly trigger a psychotic event for anyone with or without a family history of it.

I can't believe that we are expected to believe some demon "who hates god" (thanks for emphasizing that, by the way, wouldn't want to confuse it with a god loving demon) just chose his father to embody without any explanation and that the narrator is magically cured by a little holy water.

As a season finale, this one was just insulting to all viewers.
