I Had A Dream (Bir Rüya Gördüm) (2019)
resist to death of a language
Documentary about a lost language. This language is/was Ubykh. Tevfik Esenç, the last person, can speak Ubykh. Linguist George Dumezil is interested in the Ubykh language when he comes to Istanbul. Later, he meets Tevfik Esenç and his struggle to keep this language alive.
The director of the documentary, Burcu Esenç, is the granddaughter of Tevfik Esenç and is recording this struggle. Because of this situation, he went to many places where Tevfik Esenç went and recorded Ubykh. Throughout the documentary, we also meet the stories of scientists such as linguistics and Dumezil.
Every detail has been considered in the documentary. Quite successful.

Thinking Cinema in The Quarantine Days
Let's think old days, when the quarantine started. All of us think what can i do, now. If you are an academician, you thought how can i work in home. If you a writer, you thougt, how can i write my novel etc. In this way, Reha Erdem as a director pursued the question of what can I do. Therefore, it invites us to think about cinema. It makes everyone believe that they can make movies. A good work is such a thing. It invites you somewhere.
SaroyanLand (2013)
The identty of mortal
When i watch this documentary i remember that book of written by Amin Maaloof of the call by Les Identites Meurtrieres. In this book Maaloof say about exile situation that before every people do not become an exile, they become an immigrant. He also say that "my identity is what makes me unlike any other.". It same for Sorayan too. Sorayan write in his biography Bitlisli, Ermenian, American and therefore, as their belongings increase, their identity emerges as a special case. Documentary reflect us this speciallity. First thing first director do not show us Sorayan face. That means, director say us just think situation of imiggrant, go back of a writer.
I think people who watch this documentary should read Maaloof's book.
Kazim (2018)
it does not say anything
The story of documentary starting good but later the story go around same things for instance hair, clothing, voice etc. Director idea as to find other academics in Turkey have tried to remove him immediately, but never a result. Something meaningless has emerged. Very bad.
