Flopsee and Buttercup (2019)
Tale of Mid- life crisis
Initially I was not sympathetic to Flopsee's personal crisis, perhaps because I have had a fear of clowns since I was a child. However, once I got past that I was able to empathize with his problems and realize that anyone in almost any occupation can have these same experiences. All of the things that he encounters along his journey to overcome the obstacles in his life can apply to all of us.
I really did enjoy the actors portrayal of Flopsee and really loved the performance by his wife - so realistically portrayed!
Great job by Finelight Films
Baseline (2010)
Entertaining movie
I watched this movie on the recommendation of a friend. This is not normally my type of movie, I don't even like the "Bourne" movies, or movies with violence and non-stop chase scenes. In most cases I would have stopped watching this in the first five minutes, but stuck with it because of my friend's recommendation. After I got in to the characters I really felt like I wanted to stick with it to the end of find out what happened to them all. Great character development !
Luna Park (2015)
Ahhh, young love
We have all had a relationship in our past that we think about and wonder "what if". This short film is a heartfelt portrayal of two people who had gone in different directions after their early relationship and try to bring their "what if" to life. The actors in this film have you guessing which turn the renewed relationship will take and I kept changing my mind on how it would turn out until the very end.
Sipped (2016)
Very funny
This short film takes a mundane, everyday activity and turns it into something really funny! I kept thinking about it long after I watched it and the more I replayed it in my mind, the funnier it became. This review comes from someone who has been accused, at times, of having no sense of humor. If you are in need of a laugh, this is for you !
Heather's Painting (2017)
Brings out Emotion
Emotional depiction of a family dealing with grief. Everyone deals in their own way and this short film concentrates the emotion and proves you don't need 2 hours and expensive CG to build emotion in your viewers. The symbolism at the end was perfectly portrayed! This was very well done.
