Daishizen no majû Bagi (1984)
A purrfect anime
I enjoyed the anime. Tezuka was speaking out against those who wanted to play god with the animal kingdom like Ryo's mom Yoko Ishigami. It was fascinating. Still the ending would make one drop their popcorn and drinks. I say characters like Bagi deserve a better fate, a second chance, a sequel. A potential sequel should be 3D CGI start out as sad and adventurous with Ryo seeking to earn Bagi's forgiveness for almost killing her while the Soviets are trying to get Ryo out of the way so they can kill Bagi for a bounty. Like the story of Beauty and the Beast, except the Beauty is Ryo and the Beast is Bagi. The second half should be Bagi speaking for the first time in years.
I would love to see this get an English dub by any American anime voice dub company and watch it on Crunchyroll, Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, and maybe see it at Fathom Events.
MacGyver: Unfinished Business (1989)
Why didn't Deborah turn to the good side?
When Deborah was released from prison, she should've turned to the good side thanks to her testimony against Mr. Knapp. But no, she stays evil and tries to kill Pete and Jack Dalton, MacGyver. Dalton should've tried to redeem her to make her a friend to fill the void left by the late Mike Forrester. Instead, Deborah's gone for good...
She crossed the moral event horizon.
